Although the two had changed a lot, Jasper and Penelope could still recognize each other at first glance.
Penelope froze in place. He regained consciousness after a few seconds, then lowered his head and prepared to flee.

"God! Okay, deal!"
The boss received the cash from Jasper with pleasure. "I really met a good person today. However, this is too much. I don't have enough change" he said.
"There's no need to give me change" Jasper said. He glanced at Penelope, who was leaning away from him as she stood to the side. He lowered his head and did not dare to look at her. "Take it as compensation" he told the boss calmly.
"It's even better!"
The boss put a hundred dollars in his pocket and looked at Penelope. "You're lucky this time. If you steal from my shop again, I'll beat you to death" he warned.
"Enough. You've taken the money, and I've given you a few extras. You can leave now," Jasper said with a frown.
The boss grinned broadly at him, then turned around and walked away happily.
"Why did you become like this?" Jasper asked Penelope, who was trembling with her head down, after the hotdog shop boss left.
Penelope then tried to escape.
"Stop right there!" Shouted Jasper.
Penelope fell silent, standing glued to the spot.
"Where's your brother? What about your mother? Do they know you're living like this now?" ask Jasper.
Penelope knew that she would not be able to avoid this. So, he lifted his head to look at Jasper, a sad smile spreading across his dirty face. "My mom has Alzheimer's. She was now lying on the bed because she could no longer move. My brother committed a crime two months ago and was caught" he said.
A small wrinkle formed on Jasper's eyebrows. In his past life, Calvin Hunt, Penelope's brother, did not go to prison.
It seemed that after his reincarnation, the fate of many of those who were closely related to him in his past life had changed.
"Didn't you have a job? Your family has savings, right? How did you end up like this?" ask Jasper.
