Henry, who was outside, shouted, "Hey!" He immediately pushed the door open when he heard the voice.
"Which idiot is making a fuss here? This Turner family, that Turner family, what's up? Is the Turner family so great that they can ascend to heaven?"
Henry's words caught the attention of everyone in the room.
Hector and Jacob sat obediently at the side. A middle-aged man with white hair and a calm innate unfamiliarity Jasper was sitting in the host's seat. It looks like that guy is Hendrik.
To the left of Hendrik sat a young man in his 30s. She was dressed beautifully, but firmness was written all over her face. At this moment, he looked at Henry with a flash of cold light in his gaze.
This person seemed to be someone from the Turner family who spoke before.
Upon seeing Henry and Jasper, Hendrik stood up with a smile and said, "Young Master Law and Mr. Laine, you guys arrived."
Hendrik walked over as he spoke. He first greeted Jasper and said, "Mr Laine, I, Hendrik Combe, actually invited you both to the banquet today to forget what you've done. I thank Lord Laine for coming."
Jasper shook hands with Hendrik and said coldly, "This banquet you have prepared so meticulously is amazing, Mr. Combe. Of course, I have to come. "
Jasper's words are full of meaning. Hendrik smiled and pretended not to understand anything.
"Together, Mr. Laine, Mr. Law, come here and sit down immediately."
As he led the two of them to sit down, Hendrik approached Erik. He patted Erik on the shoulder affectionately and said, "This is the young master of the Turner family, Erik Turner. Everyone is part of the same industry here. I'm sure there might even be opportunities for collaboration after we've had a chat."
As soon as these words were spoken, Erik sneered and said, "Not all Tom, ***, or Harry deserves to eat with me. I hate shit so much."
Upon hearing this, Henry immediately narrowed his eyes to reveal an ominous glint.
He had always been the one to say such comments to others. Since when is it someone else's turn to turn things around against him?
"Aren't you so insolent?" Henry sneered and said.
"In the end, the Law family only had some power in Harbor City, but you actually made use of their influence after coming to the Swallow Capital. Who do you think you are, Henry Law?"
"Fuck you!"
Henry almost flipped the table in place. "Who do you think you are? Didn't you still bear the Turner surname when you got out of the house and got into action? Who do you think you'd be if you left the Turner family?"
"Who am I not up to you, you bastard, to tell me. Do it if you have the guts. If I refuse, then I'm no longer a Law!"
Erik scoffed and said with disdain, "What a child."
With that said, Erik turned his head and said to Jasper without even glancing at the enraged Henry, "Do you want to snatch the Olympic banquet from me? What's problem? Do you feel like your life is too comfortable and you're looking for fun?"
Jasper chuckled and said calmly, "I don't know if it's joy or not. I just heard a crazy dog barking incessantly."
Henry was immediately shocked. He mocked Erik, whose face showed an unsightly expression, "He's talking about you. As a dog that can only bark, why don't you bark a few more times for us to hear?"
There was a glint of dark gloom in Erik's eyes. He sneered and said, "It seems like there are indeed people who look down on the Turner family, right?"
Jasper said nonchalantly, "So what happens to the Turner family? Was this dinner party written into the contract and given to the Turner family?"
Erik was surprised to hear that.
In the Capital Swallow, all the Turner family had to do was tell about any projects the family cared about and no one dared to make them look bad. Moreover, no one dared to try to snatch the project from them.
As such, how could there be a contract signed beforehand?
That was why Jasper's speech had actually touched a weak point.
Erik turned to Hendrik. The first one smiled fakely and said, "Young Master of the Combe family, how about we hurry up and make a contract?"
