That night, at a coffee shop in the province, Jasper meets John after a long time.
"You're finally back. I've called you to meet many times but you're not in the province."
John laughed as he spoke, pulling Jasper into his arms when the two met.
Jasper laughs. "I was working on something in the Swallow Capital for a while, so it took me some time to get back but I have to say that I was surprised to hear that you were also in the province when I called. I thought you were still in town."
Hearing that, John smiled. "Thanks to you, I was transferred to the city branch as their vice president in charge of the credit system. I just returned to the province to attend the ICBS provincial presidential study meeting."
"You're promoted? It has nothing to do with me. I'm pretty sure it's all your hard work." Jasper smile.
John shook his head. "You know how with banks, we are evaluated by the deposit index. The account you opened with me alone has doubled, tripled our outlet index."
"If it wasn't for a great client like you, it would be another five to six years before someone my age could be the vice president in charge of the credit system in the city branch."
Jasper laughs. "Tell me if you need to collect more deposits. I can easily finish it."
Jasper's words were implied, as he could indeed move at least ten billion in cash. Even if he had invested in something and it cost him quite a bit of money, he still had Schuler Group which was a huge source of liquid funds.
With ten billion currently on his personal account, Jasper can easily meet the city branch's annual target.
John replied happily, "You've done a lot for me and I don't want to bother you about this. What's more, you know what about the target index, they change it every year. If we meet this year, then they will only wear it for the next year. I'd rather it go slow and easy."
Jasper smile. "Let's get back to the topic. I came to look for you today because there's something I want to ask."
