"Similarly, I am a businessman, and for every penny I pay, I expect a return of equal value. Therefore, I want to know how capable you are."
Fallon crossed his arms and smirked in satisfaction, saying, "Don't worry about that. Julian never won against me until I was 20."
"Does that mean your abilities start to decline after you turn 20?" ask Jasper sharply.
Fallon's expression turned stiff as he complained, "That's the physiological gap between men and women. Do you really think I'll get better as I age like in movies?"
"Moreover, my abilities have not decreased. I can stay in top shape for at least another decade. Julian's getting stronger, but even now, at most he still can't beat me."
Julian scratched his head after hearing what he said. He said to Jasper, "What he said is true, Jasper. Even now, I'm not entirely sure I can beat him."
Jasper nodded and said, "Then, your skills and abilities have passed the requirements. Most importantly, I got Wendy someone who was trustworthy. You play an important role, and his life and salvation are in your hands. Do you think you can handle it?"
Fallon said, sounding unsure, "I wouldn't have come if I couldn't."
As Fallon said those words, he frowned and said a little impatiently, "Also, I think you should know that I sold my skills, not myself. I also need to have my own freedom and time."
"If that's the case, I don't think we can continue this conversation." Jasper shook his head.
"Are you expecting me to set up an eight-hour work schedule for you? So you can go in and out every day? You must be prepared for emergencies at all times. You'll work as long as Wendy's outside."
"It just so happens that I can also hire someone else to do it if you can't." Jasper stood up against Fallon with a grin, not intending to give up.
Fallon gritted his teeth angrily and then looked at Julian, asking, "Why is your boss acting like that, Julian?"
Julian scratched his head and said, "This is a misunderstanding, senior. Jasper is very easy to talk to. I don't know why you two can't get along."
"No one wants to hang out with him!" Fallon snorted and looked at Wendy, saying, "Can we talk?"
Wendy smiled and said, "Sure, what do you want to ask?"
Fallon said with a frown, "I'm a very relaxed person, and I certainly can't take care of you all the time. Besides, I'm only responsible for your safety, so you can't rule me like I'm your servant."
Wendy nodded and said, "Yes, that's what I want."
Fallon said with a smile, "You're much easier to talk to than he is and much more pleasing to the eye."
Wendy noticed Fallon's sparkling eyes as she looked at him and felt uneasy. He subconsciously leaned towards Jasper.
"To be honest, I have a pretty simple work-life schedule. I'll be in the company or at home. I don't have anything special to do either, so this will be a pretty easy job for you. Besides, I don't think I'll be attacked every day."
