Jacob and his sister's skin paled. The two brothers would only laugh at him if someone else said it, but this was Henry Law. The man has the ability to make his words come true.
Jacob evaluated the current situation and turned his body around. Ignoring the blood on his face, he bowed to Jasper, apologizing in the most sincere manner. "I'm sorry. My sister and offended you. I apologize for our actions! Please forgive us!"
Jasper looked at Jacob calmly and smiled. "Not bad, so you know when to be humble. Well, don't you look sincere when you apologize? I'm sure you're scolding me all out in your heart, aren't you?"
Jacob frantically disagreed. "No, no, I wouldn't dare. You are a very good person, Young Master Laine. How are you going to waste your time being a calculation with a little character like me? There's no way I'd dare to stay mad at you."
Laughing, Jasper replied, "I'm not a young master at all. I'm just a simple guy from a regular family. I can't possibly compete with you guys, so don't call me Young Master Laine."
"Please forgive me and my brother, Mr. Laine."
Jacob turned to look at Hector who was still lying confusedly on the floor as he spoke. Anger suddenly surged from within him and he raised his hand to slap Hector in the face.
"Are you stupid? Apologize to Lord Laine right now!"
As if he had just woken up from a dream, Hector clenched his teeth and looked at Jasper. Anger was burning in his heart.
"I'm sorry!" Hector stood beside Jacob with his head bowed as he apologized reluctantly.
Jasper ignored the two people who bowed to apologize and instead turned to look at Jim, the man who was still unconscious from his shock.
"I promise I'll reward them for that kick, Uncle Yapp."
Jim received Jasper's smile. He had already soared in excitement had his stomach not been too painful to stand up.
In less than three minutes, the entire plan had changed drastically and changed the course of history for decades.
Having made a living in the Capital of Swallow for so long, he knew better than anyone how the caste system suppressed the people within his social circle.
While Jacob and his younger brother were not prominent figures among the other members of the Swallow Capital Residence, they were extraordinary kings and liked to rule when it came to others.
"What's more frightening is Jasper. A man Mr. Law treated with the utmost respect, who is he?"
Jim finds himself unable to understand his old friend's son-in-law.
"Jasper.. i..." Jim was a little scared.
"Don't worry, Uncle Yapp. They won't dare to do anything to you" Jasper replied calmly.
Seeing the calm expression on Jasper's face, Jim took a deep breath to control the excitement and fear he felt.
He turned to look at the Combe brothers who were both showing restless expressions on their faces. Hatred and anger instantly bubbled within Jim.
With no one behind him, Jim must bow to everyone's wishes because he is not strong enough to stand on his own.
"Now that I have Jasper, what else should I be afraid of?"
Thinking that, the new hatred adds to the old resentment and overwhelms Jim, who lifts his leg to kick Jacob's stomach.
Jacob shouted in pain at the kick and staggered backwards, making his knees tremble before he kneeled to the floor.
Seeing Jacob holding his stomach and squatting before his eyes, Jim realized that he had never felt this happy for decades.
"You had fun kicking me, didn't you?!" With a sad expression, Jim went to give two more kicks.
Hector's skin paled as he watched how Jacob screamed in pain but still refused to fight back. He turned his head and ran towards the door.
However, Julian stood by the door as he turned around, like a mythical God statue.
Strength was lifted from Hector's legs and the man fell to his knees with a thud in front of Jasper. "I'm sorry, Brother, please don't hit me. It's my fault for being so blind, my stupid fucking eyes. Please forgive me!"
