Chapter 19: Xavier vs. Shiva, part 4
The eight magic circles of Shiva gave rise to the eight green-striped black-robed doll bodies. Unlike the previous dolls who were like real humans, the dolls all had a plontos head and a plain white face no eyes, nose, mouth, or even eyebrows. The eight dolls are similar. Their difference was simply the name carving on that plain white face that was made horizontally.
The doll on her face has the Belief, Thought, Speech, and Action engraving on the right side of Shiva. Those who have engraved the names Life, Effort, Mindfulness, and Control are to the left of the emperor. Meanwhile, Shiva who was standing in the middle of them was now his body filled with green stripes. All of those lines were centered on the green lotus symbol on his forehead. It was as if the symbol was the core of the Eight Pillars of Nirvana.
“Normally I use a Karna doll to deal with someone troublesome,” said Shiva as he stepped slowly shortening the distance between himself and Xavier. “However, Karna is my strongest doll. He's different from all the bodies you've destroyed. Karna represents the history of Karna Great Empire. I don't want you to make him kneel. Therefore, be proud. It's the first time I've fought directly with someone.”
“So? Alright. Then I won't hold back.” Xavier's body was instantly clad in lightning sparks, and those lightning sparks were again enveloped by the black aura of the Enchanted Flame Armor. “Black Flame Magic:‒” Dark magic circle (its radius reaches fifty meters) within which there are five more smaller magic circles appear about fifty meters in the air. “‒Mariel’s Authority.”
…What happened was just a black fire that smoldering enveloped the massive magic circle. Not a failure, but it is so.
It was a spell that Xavier had thought of for a long time, but had never had the chance to test it. Because, this spell is not a single attack. The magic circle would automatically fire black fire spears without him needing to waste any more mana. Xavier just needed to send a signal, and the black spear would glide towards the target. More than that, there was another spell that could be activated from that magic circle if Mariel’s Authority was ineffective.
Xavier darted forward, intending to attack the original Shiva. His two black fire swords clad in lightning sparks. The black flames should have swallowed the lightning, but Xavier could control it so that they could exist together. At that very instant, Mariel’s Authority's magic circle sent down its rain of fire spears. Not one or a dozen, but in the top fifties. Everything moves on the opponent.
Shiva did not display any expressions. Nor did he notice the black fire spears that shot out at hypersonic speed. Control had spread out both of his hands, and all of the black fire spears stopped from his pace. The intensity of the black flame spear then increased, but Control could not be tricked. He then floated all the black flames on Xavier, but unfortunately the black flames instantly melted and disappeared because they had been separated from the influence of Mariel’s Authority.
At the same time, Belief manifested dozens of adamantite black spears. Shiva takes only one, while Action and Effort take two each.
Simultaneously with Shiva darting out welcoming the slashes of the two black fire swords, Action and Effort were already on both sides.
Xavier quickly stopped Action and Effort's movements with [Reverse Law], at the same time Xavier made his body untouchable— which then made him pass Shiva. Then Xavier immediately turned in place and aimed at the emperor's neck and shoulders. However, Xavier suddenly finds himself falling into a ravine.
The illusion! Xavier noticed it quickly, but by the time the illusion was over, Shiva's leg had already hit Xavier—'s chest the position of Shiva's slight kick from below sent Xavier crashing into the air. Belief, who had created the weapon, was waiting for Xavier; the black adamantite spears were moving rapidly to pierce the commander's back.
Space Reversal, Xavier's inner self, swapped his position with Shiva— and then quickly pierced Action and Effort with his black fire sword. However, the two pieces of absorbent adamantite black shield were already behind the two puppet bodies before Xavier's fire sword touched the target. Unfortunately Xavier had already anticipated that; the black blaze ****** discharged the body of Action and Effort—Xavier did what he had previously done to Shiva a hand of six.
Then Xavier teleported himself out of the area under the magic circle of Mariel’s Authority. With Control able to take over the spears of the black flames, Mariel’s Authority became ineffective. Hence, Xavier instantly unleashed the Flame Eraser spell from the magic circle—for that purpose he teleported.
The black flames engulfed everything under the fifty meter magic circle. From afar, it was as if a black pillar had suddenly been created. However, those flames only lasted a few seconds, then disappeared like extinguished flames. Given how much black fire there is, the act is very impressive.
Xavier looked at them full of analysis. Control can control magic phenomena, more or less so. Belief can create weapons, he's similar to Sataniciela. Thought, it was likely he who trapped Xavier into the illusion. Xavier doesn't know the ability of Life and Mindfulness. Nor is he interested in knowing. The Ultra Giant Lezghin Arrow had already manifested on it, and it quickly spelled Xavier's flagship towards the targets.
And, of course, Xavier made sure they couldn't move with [Reverse Law]; it would be useless if the spell he let go and they could dodge. At the same time, Xavier uses the Grand Order on Control, leaving him with nothing.
The Ultra Giant Lezghin Arrow was concatenated, giving rise to an outside air shock that could be powerful. Due to being in the desert, Xavier's view is blocked. Along with the black flames spreading everywhere, the sand flew as if a sandstorm was brewing.
However, it only happened for a dozen seconds, before suddenly a wave of water tens of meters high spread out in all directions and swallowed all the flying sand. Xavier soared into the air, and, just then, his eyes watched Shiva standing on the disc along with Belief. Seeing Belief kneeling with one leg and both hands pointing down, it was clear that he was the one who released the water wave.
Xavier did not feel the presence of the other puppets, but just now he only felt his attack obliterate Control and Thought. Did Shiva deliberately eliminate Life and Mindfulness?
“Like the puppet bodies you faced at the Asura Temple, my Eight Pillars of Nirvana are also helpless under the command of [Reverse Law].” Shiva said, as if answering Xavier's question. “Will be more effective if I focus everything on one body.”
Following the emperor's words, the name on Belief's plain face grew. The first to appear was Life, then Mindfulness, Thought, Control, and so on until the total plain face contained the eight names of the Eight Pillars of Nirvana. Simultaneously, the energy that the body emitted became eightfold.
“Controlling Nirvana is more difficult when everything becomes one, hence I will be silent watching.” Shiva sat himself down, an unfriendly smile developing on his lips. “However, you should also be careful. I will not hesitate to use your negligence to attack.”
Upset, Xavier Grand-Order-kan Shiva to prostrate and then Reverse Reverse Reverse-right with Nirvana—the mention of Shiva for a doll that has the power of all its dolls. Xavier intends to destroy Shiva that second as well.
Yet...Xavier found himself in the position of Shiva, the shock made him not have time to protect himself from the kick Nirvana.
Xavier bounced strongly and fell like a meteor. However, before his body hit the mud caused by the wet sand by the water, black adamantite was created as if it were an arena floor. Xavier's body hit that floor. Despite the pain, Xavier immediately got up quickly.
“How?” Xavier looked at Shiva questioningly.
He's floating in the air there. Xavier knew his Grand Order was successful, but Shiva managed to break free in a matter of milliseconds.
“How did you do it?” Xavier did not hide his confusion.—it was also aimed at the fact that he had moved with Shiva, not Nirvana.
