Chapter 43: Ascension, Part 1
[REVERSE LAW] failed to obliterate the energy ball that hid the body of Nueva. Black fire is like that too. Xavier tried hard to use both of his flagship magic, but none of the results were as expected. There is no explanation other than the assumption that the energy is beyond the influence of magic. Xavier didn't think it was life energy either.
At this point, Xavier understood he could not rely on his magic to solve the problem. He needed to rely on his own physique or both swords. He started with both swords. It is foolish to test it with both hands – Xavier can not ensure both hands will be fine.
With the two swords clasped tightly together, Xavier leaped up and swung the two swords vertically firmly. He had even coated his body with the Enchanted Flame Armor for the sake of adding
the momentum that his sword unleashed. Xavier did not hold back even just a little. This was his strongest sword swing.
The two sharp blades of the sword successfully struck the surface of the dark black energy. Xavier even saw a slight crack on the surface of the energy ball. However, before the crack on the surface of the energy ball widened, both of Xavier's swords cracked and then shattered like broken plates. Spontaneous Xavier deployed [Reverse Law] on both swords, but nothing happened.
Xavier reflexed away from that energy ball, his face tinged with shock. Did he guess wrong?
Grunting, Xavier enveloped both of his hands with thick mana. He was not a Fie Axellibra who could obliterate mountains with a single punch, but he was also not as weak as an average person. Moreover, this time Xavier concentrated strength on both of his hands. Although this would not be able to obliterate the mountain, no commander would be fine after being hit by his attack.
Xavier coated his Enchanted Flame Armor with lightning armor, darting at a higher speed, smashing both of his fists at the energy ball.
Cracks appeared at both points where Xavier's fist landed. And at the same time, both of Xavier's arm bones were sore. He tried to widen the crack, but Xavier was forced to retreat when there was no progress. He again took a swing to release the next blow.

Nueva consciousness is back in its control. He sure is. Although he could see nothing but darkness, although he could feel nothing but nothing but nothing but nothingness, his consciousness had returned. Indeed, he could not feel his own body. However, the fact that he can think back is enough evidence.
Nueva had no idea how long she had been in the dark. He lost his perception of time. A minute? Ten minutes? An hour? Or day? I don't know. Nueva doesn't know.
However, that long-suffering wait was finally over. The light began to shine in the endless darkness. Nueva could feel her own body. He felt a little foreign, but at the same time he never felt this strong. He could feel the power within him like he was thrusting himself into the water.
Unfortunately, even though she knew there was a light shining in the darkness, Nueva could not open her eyes. He also cannot move his hands or feet. Let alone that, his fingers alone can not move. Even though he had been able to sense his body, it seemed like he still had no control. It's not much different from being able to see but not being able to hold.

After unleashing the sixth blow, Xavier had already slightly understood what the black energy was really about. It's a mixture of mana and life energy. Xavier did not understand how the two different things could fuse together, but maybe because of that too magic was unable to have an effect on him. It was not something that could happen under normal circumstances; the energy was beyond the influence of the law itself.
Therefore, Xavier was one hundred percent sure Nueva could not produce the energy. Whatever the emperor did in there, it—unknown to Nueva— triggered the formation of this energy. That ignorance was also the reason why he had Lilithia keep watch.
If Xavier could figure out the secret behind the creation of the energy, he might be able to bring up similar energies. Not only would he be immune to magic, that energy would probably allow him to overcome life energy. He will become stronger, beyond what he can imagine.
Therefore, Xavier decided to stop trying to destroy the energy—putting aside the fact that both his hands had been flushed. Nueva will also come out on her own if she is done with what she did. Moreover, Xavier needed as much time as possible to analyze the energy.
For the initial experiment, Xavier placed both palms on the surface of the energy ball. Then he tried to remove the mana and coat the area around the arm patch with mana. Xavier tried to align his mana fluctuations with those energy fluctuations.
If Xavier doesn't have sensory magic, it's impossible to do. However, despite being able to sense the movement of the energy, Xavier immediately realized that it was impossible to align it. Such fluctuations in energy are never fixed, always changing significantly in each unit of time.
Xavier was about to inject his mana into the cracks, trying to figure out what would happen if there was any foreign intervention into this energy. However, all of a sudden the energy ball cracked violently and passed a huge shock wave. Xavier, who was standing right in front of the ball of energy, was knocked down inexorably, but he was able to land on both feet before crashing off the surface of the mountain.
When his gaze returned to the source of the shockwave, he found that the energy was no longer spherical. The energy has shrunk rapidly and is like a human body. However, the cracks that exist continue to grow and increase. When previously black dominated, due to the many cracks made the white color becomes dominant. It was like a shard of black glass affixed to a glowing white pillar.
And before Xavier could guess what was happening, the fragments of energy began to lose their shape one by one quickly. They decay into energy particles which then blend into the air. It makes the previously hidden body of Nueva to be seen little by little. And in less than a minute, the emperor had been fully seen.
Albinos. Nueva has become an albino. His skin was the same color as Thevetat's. Her blond hair had turned perfectly white. Her normal ears are now pointed up and down. And when the emperor's eyelids opened, his pupils had become vertical. The emperor has changed!
“Oh, have you come to wish to congratulate me?”
