Against the World II: Transgression

Against the World II: Transgression
Chapter 13: Sataniciela, part 4

Sataniciela could do nothing but let her consciousness fixate on what her sense of sight caught. Not only could that lowly human eliminate his barrage of attacks, he could also resurface the attacks to counterattack him. Fucking Luciel, lowly man, [Reverse Law] disgusting! Sataniciela can only absorb inside the head.

Sighing (of course it was also her doing in the head), Sataniciela returned attention to her body which was like being in a prison of time. He had no idea how long this damn [Reverse Law] effect would take to get out of his body. Clearly, if he let all those attacks land on his body, this superior body would be exhausted. If his mana was drained to regenerate continuously, his life would be at the tip of the fire sword mixed with the lightning of the vile creature.

However, there was nothing he could do but trust his body; sataniciela could only see while growling in the head as black spears rained down sharply at him.

If this is te—

Sataniciela's consciousness fell silent as an existence appeared right behind her. Simultaneously, the time around him slowed down a thousand times—and continued to slow down again. It was marked by the unreachability of the attack that the despicable creature lay.

The existence that appeared behind him is still not comparable to the existence of the demons he had felt, but clearly superior to Lucifer. Sataniciela doesn't know who she is. However, for some reason he could not explain, he did not feel that he was a stranger at all.

“I don't know what Neix used to strengthen himself, but whatever it was already made this body weaken.”

This body is weakened? Whatdoes thatmean? Who was this person, how could he speak as if he knew this body so well? Does he want to help—

“Yeah, whatever.”

—Sataniciela consciousness stiffens. A hand had pierced his shoulder until it penetrated to the front of his chest.

“I thank you for taking good care of my body, Satanciela. As my gratitude, your soul will not disappear. I will give you a new body. For now, sleep. You will be back in a few minutes.”

Without being able to mutter a single word in her head, Sataniciela's consciousness plunged into a bottomless darkness.

...———...

Xavier noticed something was amiss as his eyes saw everything slowing down significantly. The first thing that flashed across Xavier's head was that time was slowed down. However, if time is slowed down, the perception will also automatically slow down. However, Xavier's perception did not slow down at all. And as he tried to use [Reverse Law], the situation did not change. At that moment, Xavier understood.

Vermyna's…. Xavier was innate, and along with it all the spells and weapons he had raised with Appear spells disappeared together into the vast dimensional portal. Then time went back to normal.

“...Why does Luciel no longer exist in me—ah, so apparently, quite interesting strength. And so is your soul. But this is not surprising; you are the pawn of that disgusting creature.”

Xavier's reflexes turned him around, and he was immediately confronted by a different Sataniciela. Her clothes were Vermyna's clothes; her gray irises vanished, replacing the blood-red color with vertical black pupils. The horn that had adorned his head had also disappeared. Even the devil vanished without a trace. And, most noticeably, the force that the creature before him radiated was so great that Xavier subconsciously took a step back.

“...You stole Sataniciela's body,” said Xavier with a frowning forehead, his temples covered in cold sweat. “You stole that body,” it repeated, had no other words to say, even he ignored Vermyna's statement.

“No, this from the beginning was my body.” Vermyna— in the body of Sataniciela— who was standing was already sitting on a throne that just appeared from the dimensional portal. “This is the real me, Vermyna Hellvarossa. It's an old story, you want to hear?”

If he fought with him here, one hundred percent he would lose. He could absorb Vermyna's soul with [Magic Container]. However, it was impossible for him to do so; he would die first before he could absorb the soul of this creature. The only solution was for Kanna to restrain Vermyna's movements so that she could absorb her soul safely.

“I have lived long before the devil was created.” Vermyna told me without Xavier's response. “However, Edenia does not want my existence. It is as if the heart separates my body and soul. She said she would create a demon based on my body, and my soul she divided into two parts: you know her as Vermyna Hermythys and Catherine Hermythys. Worse, that damn Edenia got me to worship her. I hated him so much that I wanted to chop up his body and throw the pieces as porkie food.”

Xavier's eyes blinked; he could clearly see the vexation and anger within Vermyna.

Putting aside everything he had said, Xavier understood one thing: Vermyna seemed to have no interest in killing him. In fact, he seemed to think of himself as someone familiar. And, if he thought again, ..Vermyna had never once landed a murderous intent on him. Instead, he seemed to want to help her indirectly.

Xavier doesn't understand. He can only look questioningly, indirectly demanding an answer to what this creature really wants.

“No need for you to think,” said Vermyna casually. “The point is: if you want to finish off Edenia, join me. You have the potential to be on par with me, and I will help you for that. Let's finish off the despised creature that is glorified as that god.”

Ah, so it seems. Now Xavier completely understood Vermyna's intentions. He wanted to recruit himself. Like Luciel, Vermyna also wanted to finish off Edenia. The difference, Vermyna's intention was out of spite, while Luciel's intention was purely for the peace of this world.

“...Are you going to kill me if I refuse?” xavier asked, secretly preparing to teleport if Vermyna showed any interest in attacking.

“Killing yourself? Of course not. It hurts, you know? Although I like superior expression and cold voice like this, I still have a heart like all the others.” Vermyna flanged up slowly—Xavier (weirdly) found herself feeling guilty seeing that pushy expression on her face. “I think it's enough base; now I'll call Sataniciela back.”

...———...

When the darkness that drew her consciousness disappeared, Sataniciela found herself in countless pieces of memory. It's just a memory, he knows it, but Sataniciela can't help but react. Moreover, the pieces of memory that his eyes saw were as he lived alone in the periphery of the deepest area of hell—the most dangerous region that not a single demon would dare to approach him.

Sataniciela's eyes moved on the fragments of memory showing Beelzebub and Asmodeus coming to the area feared by the demons. They came to ask him to lead the demons to rule the upper world. The despicable angels have brainwashed the creatures of the upper world to regard the demons as dark creatures— despicable beings, the embodiment of sin.

The Sataniciela view then moves on to other memories, and other memories, and other memories, and so on. To the point of being unnoticed, Sataniciela's gaze now rests on a fragment of memory that shows Luciel coming out of the gates of heaven with twelve pairs of angel wings stretched wide.

This time Sataniciela's emotions were no longer restrained. He knew he wasn't real in this memory piece, but that still didn't stop him from darting against the vile creature. Unfortunately, and irritating him, suddenly his consciousness seemed to be pulled so strongly. Sataniciela tried to resist, but she was helpless. And in an instant, Sataniciela found herself standing before ma—

“—You!” hissing Sataniciela looked at her body that was looking at her comforted, and it spontaneously made her check herself. “What did you do to me?!” shouted the devil full of wrath—ia found her body filled with bandages.

#Xavier still hasn't gained his full power as an anomaly—[Magic Container] is the most basic thing, and it doesn't give him significantly extra power at all. It will only happen when the memory of his life as an Edenia disciple returns to the present Xavier. When's it? Most likely on “Against the World III: Revelation”.
