Against the World II: Transgression
Chapter 38: Lilithia vs. Neira, part 3

…Neira would have been seriously injured if the explosion had touched him. Although he had already transformed into a dragon, although his human form still had skin as hard as dragon scales, Neira did not have any immunity to attack. He could get hurt. And since Edenia's curse on him had disappeared, nothing could spare him from death.

However, Neira was not injured, let alone killed. His eyes had indeed widened in shock, but his reflexes had first worked before the blast wave reached his skin. As he had previously moved Lilithia's teleportation mirror, he did the same to the spears that exploded simultaneously. A huge bang echoed hundreds of meters above Neira.

The ability to switch positions was troublesome, inner Neira with eyes that glanced at the replica Twelfth Commander.

If only he had moved the blast of gravity spears to where the Xavier replica was located, it was likely that the replica had already been destroyed. However, the moment was very risky and Neira did not have time to think about where to move it. That works completely reflexes, and reflexes are almost impossible to control.

I had to create a condition where I could finish off the repliki without his instincts being aware of it.

Neira took a deep breath until her chest cavity was full, then released a full-strength Dragon Breath on Lilithia. He was also a dragon here; it would be inappropriate if he did not bring out the mainstay techniques of the dragons.

But Lilithia's pace did not stop. The collision of Dragon Breath energy with the commander's gravity barier made the energy that Neira's mouth off deflected to the right and left. It was almost the same as what Neira had done before. The difference was, Lilithia did that without stopping her pace.

Neira was forced to silence her mouth and stop the burst of energy. Xavier's replica was already beside him, slashing the two black fire swords he was doing in a twisting manner. Neira lowered his head down and swooped sharply, thinly avoiding the slashes of the two fire swords. Then Neira aligned her body with the horizontal line of the horizon, face up.

Ice Magic: Freezing World!

Spell Neira instantly froze the replica of Xavier, but the black flames instantly worked to melt the ice that bound him. The fire melted the ice quickly, but it wasn't too fast for Neira to be unable to use it. His sword had already drifted sharply, intending to slash the opponent in half.

Xavier's replica is back using his annoying spot-swapping ability. But this time Neira expects it. A veil of gravity had coated his body as soon as he appeared abruptly within the black flames. Like everything that cannot escape the influence of gravity, all black flames are blown away and vanish from nothingness. The replica of Xavier; he bounced after trying to slash it.

However, the real problem arose right after that. The sword that was exactly the same as the one he was holding had landed on the back of Neira's neck. Lilithia had brought out her reflection! Neira tried to resist the gravitational slash, but the power of his replica sword was too great for him to withstand. His body also slid straight through the fierce sea surface.

She must have hidden the mirror in the water! Neira growled while regenerating the slash marks on his nape. He had once focused a gravitational veil on the back of his neck; that was the only reason why he survived.

Neira's body hit the bottom of the sea, but he quickly got up and slid his body up.

With Lilithia giving rise to a replica of herself, winning the battle would be impossible. If he was to win in his current state, he would have to finish Lilithia off directly. Knowing Lilithia, Neira was sure the woman had already anticipated the scenario. Doing the same trick he did on the replica of Thevetat would be very difficult.

If so, I have no other choice. Neira concluded while focusing mana on his sword. I, he who seeks the god, he who is blessed by the god, he who is cursed by the god, he who is abandoned by the god. Existence that is immersed in eternal isolation; existence that is swept away in all infinitude. Release, Draco Cor Infinitium!

...

Lilithia did not think she would lose three-quarters of her mana capacity just to create a replica of Neira following her sword. But that's what happened. However, Lilithia did not take it as a mistake. Neira strong. The amount of mana wasted is the equivalent payment to get a replica of the opponent. And now victory is in his hands.

At the very least, that was what Lilithia believed wholeheartedly after Neira was knocked to the bottom of the ocean. However, doubts began to tuck into him as suddenly blue and black colored energy pillars sprung up one by one from within the ocean. The number reached tens, and all of them curved at an altitude towards one central point, forming a ball of high-pressure dark blue energy.

Just as replicas of Xavier and Neira drifted to the right and left of the commander, the original Neira shot out of the water like an arrow coming off the bowstring. He was fast, and his appearance was different as well. His hair blackened, his dragon wings disappeared, and the dragon scales peeked at his forehead and cheeks.

Neira shot high towards that ball of energy as big as a human head. Just as Neira was below him, the energy ball turned into a sword and fused with the woman's right hand. The dark blue energy blazing like fire instantly wrapped around Neira's lower body.

And that's when their eyes meet again.

Lilithia swore loudly from being flabbergasted by what she witnessed. He spontaneously ordered replicas of Xavier and Neira to attack. At the same time, Lilithia's hands extended upwards. A giant gravitational arch that later became a super-massive bubble that shut Neira was created. Lilithia also made a gravitational veil around the replica bodies of Neira and Xavier, protecting them from the immense gravity present in the bubbles.

But something surprising happened. No, it wasn't because Neira looked as if she wasn't affected by the great gravity. It was impressive, but not surprising. What made Lilithia widen her eyes full of shock was what happened after Neira released her energy sword slash.

…Replica Xavier and Neira were cut in half without them being able to do anything about it. Xavier's ability to reflect is useless. Neira's replica gravity wall disappears. With just one slash, and Lilithia's two flagship pawns instantly vanished. Not stopping there, the energy sword slash also split his gravity bubble.

Lilithia spontaneously withdrew her belief. He had wasted three-quarters of his mana!

“It's enough,” muttered Lilithia slowly, very slowly. Both of his eyes lost emotion, only the cold look he gave the opponent. The purple energy sheath surrounding him disappeared, replaced by a gripping dark aura. “Absolute Gravity: Infinite Density.”

The sky instantly darkened.

Nope. Not because suddenly appear clouds that shade the air or the sun suddenly dim. But because the light was no longer able to enter the area ten kilometers from where Lilithia floated. Parts of the northern continent were destroyed and disappeared. So too with sea level. Everything is converted into energy. The gravitational wall formed was so strong that light could not penetrate it, that even space-time was bent.

“...Let's finish this, First Commander Lilithia von Sylphisky.”
