As agreed, the battle (training) begins an hour after lunchtime is over.
From atop one of the turrets Hekiel had created, Xavier could clearly see the 6th Division's forces. The soldiers who focused themselves as Magic Casters instantly unleashed their long-range spells. The Magic Knights are ready. Meanwhile, with fewer numbers, the Magic Masters also helped the Magic Masters release long-range spells.
The 6th Division certainly did not allow themselves to be a samsak attack Division 4, 7, and 12. Their previously tight formation instantly stretched out and spreader slightly. Spell-spell replies were thrown by their Magic Casters and Magic Masters.
Interestingly, some Magic Caster created a walking ground wall. They and the Magic Knights darted forward over the wall. Knowing their leader who claimed to be the best [Earth Magic] user, it was no wonder some Magic Caster was able to create a hard wall that was not cracked by an average spell.
Less than five minutes later, the long-distance fight had already stopped. The movement of the 6th Division forces was forcibly halted about 25 meters from the temporary base wall. The Magic Knights from both sides had moved forward. The clinking of the sword and the shouts of self-excitement echoed filling the air. Same with the Magic Masters. They look even more domineering than the others.
What is called an attack the seizure of a place, a war never occurs at one point. The objective of the 6th Division was clear: capture the Imperial Army Temporary Base. The goal of the 4th, 7th, and 12th Division alliance was also clear: defending the Imperial Army Temporary Base. Each side tries as best as they can to fulfill their respective goals.
From his base at one of the spires, Xavier could clearly see that some of the 6th Division's forces had moved to the other side of the base. They deliberately did not move along with the main force and took a detour. Unfortunately, it's not effective. The difference in the number of 6th Division troops is clearly visible. If it's against an enemy with minimal intel, it might work. But not with Divisions 4, 7, and 12.
While other 6th Division forces were attacking from different sides, some 4th, 7th, and 12th Divisions were also preparing to respond.
“Unless they are also thinking of attacking from the air track, Division 6 will not win this exercise.” Muttering Xavier as he folded his arms around his chest, his eyes moved following the movements of his division squad.
...—Together Reinhart, Dermyus, and Hekiel—...
“That's a good place in my opinion. What do you think?” hekiel asked as he pointed at the arena of the field between the two green hills—their location was dozens of kilometers west of the Imperial Army Temporary Base.
Dermyus raised his right hand, and instantly a black lightning spark filled the sky above the area Hekiel pointed at. Then, right after the tenth second, a black lightning strike that was as wide as the Imperial Palace complex struck right at the area that Sixth Commander was referring to.
The sound of the strike was so deafening, and the resulting damage was heavy enough that when the plume of smoke and dust disappeared, the crater with a radius of a hundred meters and a depth of dozens of meters was clearly visible.
“That's pretty good,” comments Dermyus a dozen seconds later. “Ah, but you better deepen it, Hekiel. If necessary add the pillars that you can use later.”
“Dermyus..is this just my feeling, or are you really excited about the fight?” ask Reinhart. Hekiel also took an intense look at Dermyus after hearing Reinhart's question.
“Hm, that's not true.” Dermyus' expression still remained calm, his face calm. “After hearing of Xavier's achievements so far, I just felt the need to be earnest to have a chance of winning.”
“So? Well, whatever.” Reinhart flicked his shoulders and teleported his two comrades right into the middle of the crater. “I will hide the teleportation magic circle in various places, you guys do what you need to do. Xavier wants to get beat up. And we'll beat him up.”
...* * *...
As Xavier assumed, the 6th Division was successfully repulsed. Nearly two-thirds of them have been wounded, medical battalions moving quickly to heal them. Currently, they had already retreated to hundreds of meters. Resetting strategies and waiting for their injured colleagues to heal, that is what they do.
The soldiers in charge of protecting the base were certainly not without injuries. However, compared to what happened in Division 6, their numbers were not very significant. Be it Divisions 4, 7, and even 12 have both wounded soldiers. All they faced was fellow Imperial Army, it was no wonder that it happened.
Xavier did not know how many of his division soldiers were injured. But certainly, if after receiving the report later he found the number is greater than the number of wounded Division 4 and Division 7 soldiers, Xavier will ensure the soldiers get “learning”. Division 12 is the strongest division (claim Xavier himself). It is not normal for their members to be injured a lot.
Chiron Army.Xavier honestly preferred to lead those fighting maniacs. With them, he didn't need to stress much on them. They were strong, and they knew very well what to do in the midst of battle. They were the terelite army of the terelite, the best army in all the vast Islan.
“Perhaps after the war in Islan is over I will me—” Xavier spontaneously close his mouth and turn his face to the left. Less than a second later, Reinhart appeared where Xavier was looking.
“You feel my arrival?” reinhart asked, a serious expression coloring her face.
“No,” lie Xavier. “It just so happened that I was looking here, and you just happened to show up there. Seeing you come, means that our battle arena has been set up? Is it time I beat you?”
Reinhart grunted. “You may swallow back the words you have already issued,” he said, then envelop them with a teleportation magic circle.
As Xavier finished his gnawing, he found himself in a vast hole filled with tanh poles. Revealing his view, Xavier estimated that the hundred-meter-deep hole was one hundred meters deep, or more.
“It's a good arena. We also do not need to worry about the damage we caused.” Xavier said as he landed his eyes on the three commanders who had stood nearly twenty meters away from him. “I get excited,” he added with a black blaze that started to appear around him.
Responding to Xavier's black flames were black sparks that appeared enveloping Dermyus' body. Dozens of teleportation magic circles appeared in several places. At the same time, two-meter-high ground golems burst out from the land—they appeared in various places, numbering over a hundred.
“Majulah, we can start whenever you guys si—!” Xavier reflexively blocked Reinhart's punch that was already in front of him with his right arm, while his hand was forced to move to deal with Hekiel's blow. The two commanders combined attacked Xavier, and Xavier found his feet stepping back as his hands blocked the two commanders' blows.
Xavier's black flames moved, attempting to attack both Commander. But pieces of earth appeared and struck the black fire with great force. Hekiel showed his control over the wondrous earth magic; he attacked at the same time by creating chunks of earth.
Not wanting to continue to defend, Xavier decided to attack. But—
“Lightning Shock!”
—Suddenly Xavier is already at the center of a high-intensity black lightning spark.
