Against the World II: Transgression
Chapter 10: Hidden Hand, Part 3

And, that was how Xavier could walk alone with Lilithia out of the Imperial Palace. They were in Imperial Army uniforms complete with the robes of their respective commanders. Two adamantite swords with different-colored handles are embedded in Xavier's left waist. Meanwhile, Lilithia who walked to the right of the commander did not carry any weapons.

“I am your senior, and therefore you must follow me in our duty this time.” Lilithia said in a lively voice. His footsteps were also slightly colored. He did not look different from the academy students who were heart-colored. “And the first thing we have to do is to my house—I need to water my flowers. We go to Etharna when dusk arrives.”

“I have absolutely no problem following you on this task, Commander Lilithia, but first I have to go back to Verada to take care of important matters. I'll go straight to your residence before dusk arrives.” Xavier immediately shot high into the air without waiting for the commander's response, and he immediately shot in full speed to the west of the city's direction.

…If Xavier glanced for a moment down there, to the place where he had just left the First Commander, the commander was no longer in his place his position had been replaced by a black sphere the size of a pebble that warped space and time around him. Luckily for the place, the sphere first disappeared before its massive gravity pulled all the matter to be a part of it.

Lilithia came out from the mirror that was in the basement of her residence, a huge arena secret that Nueva gave her first when she first arrived in Nevada— when she was thirteen. However, Lilithia's true destination was not the arena, but a mirror that was in one corner of the arena.

It was not a mirror made manually, but rather a product processed mana by his [True Mirror] (a very troublesome magic, more troublesome than his [Absolute Gravity]; Lilithia can take over the world with just that magic). He has captured the form of many strong people with his mirror. Kanna, Nueva, Edward, Xavier, and even Undead Thevetat are in the mirror. If he was successfully cornered, he could take out their replicas as his soldiers.

The only individual he tried to capture but could not form was Fie Axellibra. He had tried it once from a very long distance, but still his figure was not caught in the mirror. Anti-Magic who dwells strongly in Fie blocks the power of his mirror to capture his figure.

As soon as Lilithia passed through the mirror, she was instantly in a world where time did not run. The world was filled with countless mirror after mirror. However, there is one whose size is so big—was deliberately made massive. And there Lilithia stepped, in front of which lay the lifeless body of a man—the body of an eleven-year-old.

Lilithia sat herself in the lotus position, her eyes closed, and she meditated.

When Lilithia was so angry that she wanted to make the world a singularity, this is where she went and this is what she did. Lilithia was just about to break out of this mirror world as her anger decreased to a level where she could control it. If not, he did not know what he would do; he did not know how many people would degenerate into dust and even particles.

...—Verada—...

When Xavier arrives in his room, he finds Monica sitting behind a desk doing her job. The staff regularly gives many reports every day. There are reports as simple as a destroyed weapon and the need for funds to replace it, there are also reports of a suspected assault or death of soldiers. Clearly, there's no day without a new sheet of documents on Monica's desk.

“Nothing has changed by looking at me like that, Commander Xavier.”

Kernyitan on the forehead shamelessly appeared on Xavier's face. Monica has started playing the role of “ajudan professional” in their relationship. The trigger was clear: Monica wouldn't have started it if she hadn't said what she said. He himself is to blame, indeed, but it will long be annoying. It would be better if Monica was as forthright as a brave man.

Well, doesn't he himself not dare to be frank? Well, ..an irony.

Regret was clearly on Monica's face. His lips moved wanting to open themselves spewing words, but suddenly fell silent with a slight expression of forgetfulness. Heh, Xavier sure the annoyance just made Monica forget that she was pretending to be “ajudan proffi”.

“As you wish, Sir!” exclaimed Monica, standing with a serious expression.

Xavier wanted to tease Monica by telling her to do things that would upset her, but that's not what she did because she didn't have much time here. He had to return to Nevada and then leave for Etharna with Lilithia.

“I still owe you some requests,” said Xavier seriously—dan with a slightly softened expression. “Kanna told me to go to Etharna, not knowing how long until I got back. Therefore, think of your request. Whatever it is, I'll grant it when I get back.” And Xavier instantly disappeared from the room right after the word “back” perfectly came out.

Xavier doesn't know if his attempt worked, but hopes it works.

Xavier's not worried about leaving Monica here. He had said long ago that when he was not with her Monica was in danger, he should immediately teleport to Kanna's place. In this world, Xavier believes only Kanna can protect Monica when she's not with him. Menez is certainly strong, but Kanna is in a different class. And Kanna is easier to reach; Menez has already joined the Chiron Army, it is unclear where he is at the time of when.

Xavier teleported from his study outside Verada, and now he sets up a magic circle to teleport to nearby Nevada— before flying to the city.

...—Prohibited Valley Ed—...

More than two hours had passed, and Neix was still so fixated on how great he was now ‒ he even felt that he was in a dream.

The main reason Neix admired him for incarnating this god was the destruction of the barrier protecting the ruins of the famous Heavenly Crystal—barier City created by the Legend of Blacksmith, a barrier that could not be penetrated even by Fie Axellibra.

“I could spend all day admiring myself, and I know I won't get bored.”

Neix chuckles. Oh, how narcissistic it is! Absolute power is indeed absolutely corrupt, it seduces its owner into being unusually arrogant, his inner being comforted.

Neix let go of his consolation and darted into the middle of the city, to the point where the former center of Lake Deus was located.
