Against the World II: Transgression
Chapter 7: Blood in the Forest, Part 3.5

The replica of the kurtalaegon manifested along with Kanna's right-hand swing, but that second Evillia was nowhere to be seen. Alforalis blocked the swing of the sword with his transparent energy ball, making the replica of the kurtalaegon eroded. It surprised Kanna. Although the sword in his hand was only a replica (it had no real kurtalagon abilities), it was still harder than adamantite.

“Interesting magic,” muttered Kanna while jumping backwards, throwing a replica of the kurtalaagon left half in origin— making it into mana splinters and disappearing.

“[Particle Magic], it's my magic.” Alforalis answers questions that Kanna doesn't voice. “Everything is composed of particles; this energy ball breaks matter into its smallest particles.”

Kanna had no time to comment any further, Evillia was already on top of him with a ball of wind whose insides were spinning in all directions. The ball of wind was as big as an elephant's head, no doubt if it hit someone's body then the inside of it would feel like it was ground up. However, Kanna is faster in jumping away—ia does not have to test what it feels like.

However, Evillia had expected it. Just before he was carried away by the momentum and hit the road marble, the ball of wind was pressed forward, making him flung towards Kanna. However, it was quite slow. Kanna can handle it easily—at least, it was before the roots sticking out of the ground with plasma balls at the ends. Not enough to get there, he was locked in a thick wooden dome. It happened in the blink of an eye as Evillia's palm touched the street marble.

A series of explosions filled the dome in succession; no normal individual could survive without a wound if confined within.

Unfortunately, by the time the first explosion occurred, Kanna's forehead and cheeks were covered in crescent-shaped black lines. This indicates that Kanna has activated the original kurtalaegon ability. The sword was no longer passive; kanna herself had become an extension of the kutalaagon. That is, his skin had been as hard as that sword; all the kurtalaegon abilities Kanna could use were as easy as thinking.

When fighting Undead Thevetat first, Kanna had not been able to make herself an extension of kurtalaecun. He was only able to do it while sparing seriously with his father. That was the reason why he finally won. By becoming the extension of the kurtalagon (the sword that had been refined in the more than 1000 years after its creation), even Nueva could not do much before him. He is the strongest individual in the empire—Sword of Empire in its perfect sense.

With Kanna using Kurtalaagon Mode, all of the consecutive explosions that occurred became meaningless. It was unable to penetrate the barrier that was trailing his body. And when the barrier that Kanna was spreading filled the dome, the roots along with the remaining plasma balls disappeared in the mana shale.

Kanna's feet then stepped, her right hand swinging horizontally from left to right. The thick wooden dome that had its inside cracked due to the series of explosions was split in half. The horizontal hand swing is followed by a vertical swing, before being followed by a continuous swing in all directions.

The dome shattered into pieces and fell like a dead leaf, Kanna appeared before her two opponents with a more serious expression.

“I don't want this war to last much longer. Therefore, for the last time I'll give you a chance to surrender, Queen Evillia. Otherwise, you'll regret this.”

Kanna's words received no verbal response.

Evillia and Alforalis shot along at their full speed. However, before they cut half the distance between them, Kanna was already between the two with both palms lodged in Evillia's chest and Alforalis' abdomen. The energy behind the punch was so strong, so strong that it also destroyed the path that was in harmony with the banging of the two elves.

They bounced far enough, then fell and were dragged in a rolling state. The distance with the fighting position of the soldiers was more than seven kilometers.

When Kanna got here in just one second, her eyes found Evillia already kneeling with a mouth that was bleeding. Meanwhile, Alforalis lay helpless. His shoulders bowed to an angled position. Kanna did not use all her strength, but she was sure it was enough to overcome them. But, who would have expected Evillia's body resilience more than she had imagined.

Kanna's forehead frowned at the sight of vampire wings sticking out on the elf's back. His body emitted smoke, regenerating rapidly. When the queen's face looked up, Kanna found her pupils vertical, fangs elongated. He seemed to be another race, and Kanna felt him absorbing the abundant energy in nature—which then made the queen's skin brownish.

Kanna's speech was cut off as her perception sensed something coming. And before he could turn his head, the sound of humming swelled invaded their sense of hearing. The marble that formed the road (which had previously been destroyed) was destroyed, and from the destruction Xavier came out with conditions that could not be said to be good.

“You survived that. Impressive, Commander Xavier.”

“El,” muttered Kanna, looking at the masker whose robe was tattered.

Previously, there was a small voice in him that said that Xavier was El—dia had been deceiving them all this time. However, looking at the two like this, it seemed like he was wrong. There was no resemblance at all between their auras. El's aura was more holy, as if he was an angel. Long ago, El's aura was a bit like Xavier's. Even he can say that Xavier is now weaker than when he fought Undead Thevetat.

[Division Magic]?—Think Kanna with frowning—But that doesn't explain why their auras are different. My worries seem wrong. Why is Xavier weaker? Before I couldn't say it clearly, but in this mode it feels so obvious.

“Don't mind him, Kanna, I'll handle it.”

Kanna looked at Xavier, and in the next moment she had already swung her hand towards El—exactly to the face of the masker. El, who did not expect that, did nothing. The mask was split in two, and it fell down slowly. Kanna's blue iris instantly found the same face as her commander's face.

A shocked expression lingered on El and Xavier's faces for a while, before then El's lips curved wide.

“You...” Xavier muttered with an overconfidence, he could not finish his words.

“I'm surprised you didn't recognize me, Xavier, when I was your twin brother. Looks like you really think I'm dead, huh?”

“Twin brothers?” Kanna squinted her eyes, focusing on Xavier. “What does that mean, Xavier? I didn't know you had a twin brother. Monica didn't say anything about it when she told me about your childhood.”

“I thought…. I-Mommy said you didn't survive..” Xavier fell down, his expression mixed.

For some reason, the explanation revealed before Kanna made perfect sense. That explains why it used to be in Desert Kingdom El hurting Xavier. That also explained why their auras in the Desert Kingdom were similar. Compared to El is Xavier, those twin brothers make more sense.

“In fact I'm still alive.” The view of El is cooling. “And you.you let our parents die.”

Kanna quickly approached Xavier. Evillia who had been a spectator, was now standing next to El. Kanna did not care about them, her gaze focused on Xavier. This was the first time he had seen Xavier like this.

“You okay, Xavier?”
