Against the World II: Transgression
Chapter 38: Lilithia vs. Neira, part 1

THERE were over twenty mirrors of door-like size lined up about half a kilometer south of Axellibra.

Soldier after soldier continued to emerge from the mirrors since then. He did not count how long it had passed since he brought up the mirror. Clearly, it would take another minute or two until all the soldiers arrived. Waiting was boring, moreover Lilithia had already lost her connection with all her mirror creations.

Fortunately, two minutes was not a long time; the commander did not have to think about leaving them. Lilithia instantly eliminated all her mirrors once the last soldier out reported that she was the last one.

“I will go directly there,” Lilithia said to her representative and Xavier— representativea mirror has appeared behind the commander. “From here onwards, you two take full responsibility for the team. Most likely Fie Axellibra will not appear here. In Axellibra there are also vampires who will help you. My job in this is to deal with Neira Claudian. What do I say clearly?”

Getting a nod from the two representatives of the two different divisions, Lilithia immediately turned to enter the mirror.

...* * *...

After Neira overcomes all Death Knights simultaneously with the combination of the three spells, she meets Lexata who joins her soldiers. He said nothing to the king but instructions not to make Axellibra a battlefield. “I will overcome First Commander,” he added after hearing the king's complaint. “She can't be left anywhere near, let alone inside the city.”

“How about Sir Lancelot? Did Miss see him? He was about to stop Emperor Nueva who had appeared all of a sudden. What happened in the south of town?”

Neira tilted her head. Nueva in Axellibra? It was more impossible than Vermyna who appeared suddenly here. Perhaps they mean the Nueva replica, as the Lancelot replica he has lost.

“Lancelot is in the middle of overcoming Valeria,” Neira replied as he turned around and started to step up. “Let him focus on overcoming that vampire. You're setting up all the troops to prepare for all the upcoming attacks. I can already feel the presence of enemy soldiers about half a kilometer from the south gate.”

A pair of dragon wings were sticking out on Neira's back, and in a single flap of wings he had already shot high into the air. Although he felt the presence of strong individuals with a considerable mana capacity (compared to the saints), Neira would not go there directly. Gravity is dangerous. He did not want to until there was destruction around Axellibra. Neira had already thought of the right location to address the commander.

All she needed to do now was wait until Lilithia brought up her mirror inside the city and then moved the mirror to where she had set out.

...* * *...

What greeted Lilithia so much out of the mirror was not the city of Axellibra to which she was intended. The commander found himself above the ferocious sea level. It was fortunate that he had perfect control over gravity which gave him the ability to levitate. Otherwise, he would have definitely fallen in the waves, hit a rock, or even attracted a fierce whirlpool. The waters north of Islan were never known to be friendly.

And of course, as it should be, Lilithia showed no surprise once her eyes caught the figure of a woman as tall as herself hovering with both wings stretching about twenty meters in front of the commander. Even raising an eyebrow, he did not. Just as the woman was looking at him intensely, Lilithia's eyes were also focused on the reptilian's eyes.

“Neira Claudian..how can I assume you own the name?”

“First Commander Lilithia von Sylphisky, let's finish this as soon as possible.” Neira brandishes his special sword to the commander. “I don't like violence, but you are the personification of destruction. Your power brings nothing but destruction. But if you're willing to get out of the battle, my sword doesn't have to slash your neck.”

“Hmph!” lilithia's grunt manifests seven mirrors: one super-massive mirror, positioned just below the commander's feet; six more normal-sized mirrors that he often uses to move. And simultaneously, six replicas came out of the normal size mirror: Edward, Lumeira, Herena, Elizabeth, Cleria, and Xavier. “That sentence should have been me saying.”

Lilithia flicked her right hand, and the six replicas quickly attacked the woman. If they were on land, Lilithia could bring out more replicas. However, since they were above the sea, he could only issue a replica that could fight in the air. But that's enough. The reason—

Lilithia's super massive mirror instantly broke into pieces as soon as the perfect super giant dragon came out.

—Lilithia has a replica of Undead Thevetat for her to muster. Indeed, his replica of Undead Thevetat was not as powerful as the original Undead Thevetat. However, Lilithia was convinced that her replica of Undead Thevetat had ninety percent of Undead Thevetat—'s strengthif nothing more.

The first commander landed between the eyes of Undead Thevetat and then instructed the dragon to fly high and stop in the perfect position to observe.

“...Only Xavier left...”.

Despite her surprise, Lilithia could not say she was surprised. Edward and Lumeira are strong, but Lilithia has yet to capture their full strength. Elizabeth and the others couldn't do much in front of Neira. Only replicas of Xavier and Undead Thevetat are really useful.

Seeing how Xavier's replica fights, Lilithia—though he prefers magic [Absolute Gravity]— must admit his [True Mirror] magic is very special. Black flames could not be imitated by [Copy Magic], but the Xavier replica could use black flames perfectly. From where she looked, Lilithia actually watched Neira Claudian's figure being overwhelmed.

“Maybe I don't need to intervene directly,” muttered Lilithia while giving the Undead Thevetat replica the command to release its Dragon Breath to Neira— at the same time demanding the Xavier replica stay away.

As Lilithia was flabbergasted to see an albino dragon firing its dragon breath in the former region of Ilamia, this time she was also stunned by the effects of her replica dragon breath. If the attack falls in the middle of Nevada, not Nevada alone will disappear. More than that. Fortunately, the northern part of Islan is mostly a towering cliff. Otherwise, the high waves caused by the burst of energy just now would have wiped out the northern part.

Between surprise and surprise, Neira Claudian was still floating in her place. He didn't crash a bit. Other than the incision marks that the replica Xavier caused, there was not the slightest injury to his body.

“So, that sword is really capable of controlling gravity?” asked Lilithia (on herself) when she saw the gravity wall that had deflected the attack of the replica of the Undead Thevetat earlier. “Like the sword of Kanna, the sword is not normal. But, yeah, no problem. Xavier's! Be a good boy and kill that thing for me!”

Of course it's just a replica of Xavier who has no will and no life, but who cares. Lilithia obviously wasn't.
