Chapter 7: Blood in the Forest, Part 5
Luciel could only stare wryly at the individual before him. He was not using the power of the seraphim, but he was stronger than that time. [Reverse Law] His does not work on the girl's body. Let alone stopping his mobilization, changing his course he could not. And most obviously, the eve of Edenia in Kanna is more thick than when he uses the power of the seraphim.
“Did you endow Edenia directly?” Luciel finally forced himself to ask. “Or, have you met Edenia?”
“You believe in the existence of Edenia.”
It's not a question, it's a statement. And Kanna did not give him an answer, she only said the fact that she believed in the existence of Edenia. Saying in a non-smoking word, Kanna ignored his question. It automatically gave him a conclusion.
“You don't like me?”
“That's a stupid question.” Kanna with both hands flashing into sword blades attacked again. “You will account for your mistake.”
Luciel has no interest in making any more mistakes. Kanna's empty hand was already sick, she didn't want to try to block the sharp blade. So, he teleported. At the same time, lightning in high intensity gathered on Luciel's right hand. The lightning then shot into the sky, and instantly dark clouds gathered up there.
“It's a bit embarrassing to use Mariel's spell, but what to do. Mariel Judgment!”
In a single roar, the dark cloud spewed out lightning in such great intensity. It was so massive, and so fast it came close to light. That impossible spell could have been avoided if it didn't have an impressive reactive speed. It's a spell that's sure to whip up those affected.
However, all the lightning that gathered into one blaring strike was absorbed by the tip of Kanna's sword blade. And before Luciel could ask what he was doing, Kanna's other sword blade shot out the lightning he had absorbed in a quantity that was twice as large.
Only the experience made Luciel able to dispel that lightning with [Reverse Law]. If he had no experience, he would have been too late in dealing with the attack. His hands were even slightly smoky from being touched by the tip of the lightning for several tens of microseconds.
And Luciel had no chance to do anything; just as the lightning dissipated, Kanna had already pointed both of her palms forward. Temperatures drop so drastically that air molecules are unable to move. Luciel's body couldn't move—and he could feel his body hardening to near the point of his destruction. He couldn't reach where to use [Reverse Law]. And he knows when Kanna's spell is done he'll—
“Full Release: Eternal Zero.”
—Luciel widened in shock as his body suddenly returned to normal. He already thought this [Division Magic] creation body would be gone and he would return to Xavier's body. However, he was still in this body, as if he had never been exposed to the effects of [Eternal Zero]. And the most attention-grabbing, the world where it is dominated by a blackish purple color.
“You owe me a huge debt, Luciel.”
The voice came right from behind Luciel, making him spontaneously turn his head. And his eyes instantly faced the individual he had not expected.
“Vermyna...Hellvarossa?”
Vermyna was instantly beside Luciel, her eyes looking intensely at Kanna who was beyond her dimension.
“Seeing that he can use the power of [Eternal Zero], it means that he has forced himself Nueva to be serious. Impressive. And more impressively, he could use the Kurtalaegon perfectly. The sword would store whatever magic spells it absorbed, and it could always use it with the Release Function at Kurtalaegon.” Vermyna paused, glancing at the silent Luciel. “You will die if you underestimate Kurtalaegon, Luciel. Even I do not know what kind of power Kurtalaegon has perfected.”
“Kurtalaegon?” Luciel has never heard of it. He has only been on the surface of this world since Xavier was born. And that's more than a thousand years after his last fight with Lucifer.
“Hernandez originally made the sword the strongest weapon in the universe, but later tried to make it the key to invading the Throne of Heaven. “Hernandez the legend of Blacksmith, huh?” Luciel doesn't expect any human being to be able to do that. Hernandez, he deserves his respect. “Keeping that aside (and also the rescue of me), what are you doing here?”
“To join New World Order, of course. We have the same enemy; Fie Axellibra is stronger than I imagined. And I also want to finish off the despicable Edenia.”

Elven Army cornered. The Imperial Army once again showed their might. Black Shadow was troublesome, but the captains of each battalion really showed why they were chosen as captains. Their views were sharp; they understood how to control the soldiers on the battlefield ‒ they understood that overcoming every captain of Black Shadow would make the Elven Army morale go down. The 9th squad of Black Shadow proved to be the most troublesome, but even they could eventually be repulsed.
Like the Elven Army, Menez and Atland encountered a dead end. Menez can't beat Kanna's kombat clone. The illusion did not work; the enemy seemed to be immune to illusions. Meanwhile, although the three Kanna clones were not combat specialists, their cooperation left Atland pinched. It was only a matter of time until they were defeated. It's only a matter of time until the Elven Army is conquered.
At least, it would not have been inevitable had Vermyna and her entourage not suddenly been present in the middle of the battlefield.

Ever since he sensed El's presence disappearing all of a sudden, Kanna has been feeling bad feelings ever since. And that proved to be true when all four of his clones disappeared—ia felt his connection and they disappeared. He did not know what was happening, but obviously his soldiers were facing a dangerous situation. Xavier confronts not only Evillia, but also two vampires.
“Vampire Kingdom help Elf Kingdom?” Kanna frowned, but her pain disappeared considering that Lumeira had already betrayed the empire. “They are hostile to his empire as well..”.
“That's as you assumed, Kanna el Vermillian.”
The voice came from the space portal that was created instantly in the place where El was previously. From inside came the figure of El and a woman, who had little resemblance to Nizivia.
“Today, Vampire Kingdom merged into a New World Order. As a proof of our earnestness, we will help the Elf Kingdom destroy the imperial army that is trying to invade our allied country.”
