Chapter 23: The Laugh of the King, part 3
Xavier tilted his head to the left avoiding Alice's light spear thrust, then he spun in place with both swords swinging. Alice blocked one of Xavier's lightning swords with her sword of light, while the other struck the spear shaft of light. Xavier adds to his power, creating cracks to appear on both of Alice's light weapons.
Not wanting to take a risk, Alice jumped away while rejuvenating both weapons so that they came back solid.
Xavier chases Alice, this time swinging his sword more aggressively. Alice's eyeballs moved agilely, anticipating all of Xavier's movements so she could block him perfectly. So far the masked girl managed to block every Xavier attack well. And just as he had, he had always distanced himself to rejuvenate both of his weapons as the spear and sword of light cracked.

Xavier's amused response ignited the anger in Alice, evident from her wild and aggressive movements. However, the girl was not able to corner Xavier—hal that made him even more upset.
