Chapter 16: After, Part 3

Nueva did not show any expression when Xavier von Hernandez just appeared a few meters in front of his stop in a room with little light. He expected the young man to come. It was just that, he did not exploit teleportation magic. Edward did not give him any information about Xavier's teleportation magic. However, he did not comment on the magic that was deliberately presented before him.
“I have expected your presence,” said Nueva while resting her cheek on the right fist. “You can go, but come back quickly. Your energy is required.”
“This is not surprising,” Xavier said as he stepped forward—ia did not show the slightest respect in the face. “Pun is so with your reaction,” he added just as he stopped a step in front of the throne with eyes looking down on the emperor. “Lantas, what are your assumptions regarding the perpetrator?”
It's ridiculous, and now it's clear why this kid showed him that he could teleportation magic. I'm stronger than you. I can come at any time and finish you off if I want. At the very least, that was what Xavier wanted to convey indirectly. Totally ridiculous.
For a moment Nueva was tempted to give up her full power just to knock this human ego down, but it would not. He was once young. Not in his past life, indeed, but still he was once quite as arrogant as Xavier. He still remembered how he stood before the vampire palace and made it es—, although in the end he knew that the palace was fake.

As he came, Xavier simply disappeared—no teleportation magic circle appeared.
“...” Nueva did not say a word; her eyes closed exactly three seconds after the commander disappeared.

An hour after their talks began, a mutual agreement had been reached. Favilfina Kingdom will cooperate with Vermillion Empire on all fronts, from economy to military. There is no time in their cooperation. However, if at any time the ruler of one country changes, it is likely that the new ruler will again sit down to match the agreement of cooperation with their vision.
However, even though the two rulers changed, the initial agreement remained in effect: The Favilifna Kingdom still provided ten percent of net income as tribute to the empire.
“We hope that with this cooperation can further improve the quality of life of the two countries,” Kanna said while greeting the queen, then they again sat quietly. “Lantas, have you thought about Favilifna's next move? Knowing the Holy Kingdom, they would not just stop. I will allocate five battalions of soldiers at the northwestern border of Favilifna, but we need effective action.”
“I've thought of that,” honest Elmira. “Favilifna will pretend as if the Knights Templar were not involved in the attack last night. I would also say that the empire was moving on its own; the Favilifna Kingdom saved the Vermillion Empire from the clutches of Eternity—the organization that the Knight Templars were supposed to overcome. Indirectly Favilfna Kingdom will blame the Holy Kingdom for all the problems.”
Elmira nodded in agreement, then her expression became very serious. “Vermillion Empire antagonizes Emiliel Holy Kingdom and New World Order. Emiliel the Holy Kingdom is hostile to the Vermillion Empire and the New World Order. The New World Order is hostile to Emiliel the Holy Kingdom and the Vermillion Empire. It was a relationship that made each one worried about starting a war. The Empire also does not want to be the first in attacking, am I wrong?”
Kanna shakes. “Not at all,” added. “If we have to fight, each wants to drag everything into war. The empire is too. If we have to attack the Holy Kingdom, we must also attack the New World Order. There is no compromise in that. So, your idea will definitely stop the Holy Kingdom in doing drastic things—they will be forced to shut up.”

Kanna nodded quickly. “Holy Kingdom may seek to worsen the relationship of the New World Order and the empire. Our relationship from the beginning had been bad; the only reason why the empire had not taken such drastic measures after the defeat we had achieved was the concern for the action of the Holy Kingdom. Actions of the Holy Kingdom 99 percent will succeed, and this war is completely inevitable.”
“I do not like war, but the situation in Iceland is currently too tense.except Kazarsia Kingdom.”.

“Aren't you supposed to investigate how strong he really is? Or make sure they won't side with anyone?” Elmira did not wait for an answer. “Removing that, Favilifna Kingdom will corner Ekralina Kingdom. They've tried to invade Favilifna, we have the right to act. I want the empire to make sure the Holy Kingdom doesn't interfere.”
“The empire will do it; absolute self-defense is allowed.”
“Good. Then let's end this meeting. I need to get back to Etharna immediately and send a warning letter to King Mortana.”
Kanna stood up from her chair and once again shook the queen's hand. “Vermillion Empire wishes the best for the well-being of Favilifna Kingdom.”
“So much as Favilifna Kingdom.”
Thus, the two leaders separated. Elmira left the room with a positive result.
But, of course, it's only temporary. After all, the Vermillion Empire's ultimate goal was the total liberation of Islan. When the New World Order and the Holy Kingdom were successfully overcome, there would be nothing standing between them and the Islan.
And, of course, Kanna would do so without breaking the agreement they had agreed to. History has proven: it is impossible to subdue a country without brandishing weapons on them.
