Against the World II: Transgression
Chapter 7: Blood in the Forest, Part 2

Xavier looked intensely at the man, staring at his obvious goal. Then he realized that he and the average elf were indeed quite similar. He felt he had seen it.

Xavier nodded his head not at the elf's words, but at his own assumptions.

“Good if you remember, I don't need to introduce myself twice.”

Xavier doesn't remember, but it doesn't matter. Anyway, it's been a long time. Five years have passed since then. There was no way he could remember anything unimportant.

“Do not talk much, forward all of you.” Xavier clapped both palms. “Fire Magic: Dragon Breath!”

A blue burst of flames shot out fiercely and widened to reach a large area, targeting all the enemies that were in front. The fire burned the ground and the trees that passed through it, giving no mercy to the few.

“El, you don't have to interfere. We'll take out that rotten traitor. I, Yelloza, will erase the mistake Miss Evillia made—she shouldn't have taught you magic!” Yelloza took a deep breath. “Water Magic: Water Propulsion!”

A huge burst of high-pressure, high-volume water shot out from Yelloza's mouth, splitting Xavier's flame into two. At the same time, a dozen other elves also used water magic against Xavier's fire magic. Meanwhile, the rest of the elves instantly broke through following the spell-spells that their comrades had latched onto.

Thick fog created by the impact of the two opposing elements, Xavier quickly jumped away—just in time avoiding the barrage of round iron bullets that came.

Xavier was not allowed to lethargic, some elves had surrounded him. A few sharp slashing sword swings, earnestly splitting their targets. Xavier doesn't feel cornered. He tilted his head avoiding the swing of the sword, at the same time he gripped the hand of an elf and directed his pedagogue to block the attacks of several other elves.

Sensing the danger behind him, Xavier kicked the elf whose hand he was clutching. Then his elbow he pushed back as his head bent forward, elven elf's chest behind him and snatched the sword he held for his own.—Xavier forgot to bring his own sword. Then Xavier swung the sword, striking two slashes from above.

“Lightning Magic: Screaming Beast!”

“Water Magic: Water Bullet!”

“Wind Magic: Wind Bullet!”

“Earth Magic: Gigantic Stone!”

Xavier darted into the air dodging the barrage of spells, but Yelloza was already there with both palms open forward.

“...Water Pri—”

Xavier did not let Yelloza finish, in an instant his knees had hit the chest of the elf— face made him thrown diagonally down strongly, even the sound of crutches sounded loud.

“You are weak, don't talk much,” Xavier muttered softly, his free-moving left hand catching the blade of the sword trying to slash it with his thumb, index finger and middle finger.

“You...!”

“Your performance is lacking, you are less fast, and you also need to thicken the flow of mana on your sword. If it's only this way, you can't break through my enhancement.” Xavier shook his head slowly, as if showing disappointment.

“Nationaat!” the elf shouted, tugging his sword forcefully from Xavier's finger grip, but failed.

“And you need to control your emotions even better,” continued Xavier while hitting the elf's chest with his legs, forcing the elf to throw down with a sword that was released from his hands, fortunately he was saved by another elf.

“Xaaaavieeeer!” yelloza's wrathful cries filled the forest, his face littered with blood seeping out from his mouth and broken nose. “I'll kill and tear you apart, bajingaaan!”

Once again Xavier let out a long sigh. “Such empty threat...” He shook his head slowly. “This time I will be serious,” he said, “not one of you will stand up in two minutes. Prepare yourselves. I'm forward.”

...* * *...

Emily spontaneously instructed her soldiers to stop, her eyes glancing there and there looking for the owner of the voice. However, he did not find it. It was as if it had just come without an origin source.

“You go, I'll handle them all. Use their tactics on themselves. Let it be a lesson for them as it has been quite arrogant to attack the Elf Kingdom.”

Emily scrunched her forehead. He does not feel in an illusion, but still he tries to free himself from it. However, nil. He still could not find the owner of the voice. Even the soldier behind him had a failure like that.

"Get out if you dare, damn it!" the exclaims of the soldiers, resentment and anger were clearly plastered on their faces.

“Alright, I'm here.”

Emily and the soldiers spontaneously turned their heads up, and at once they found a beautiful-looking young man sitting on a tree branch with one leg bent and the other dangling—and he was clad in a Deus Chaperon robe.

“You...” Emily watched the final of the Grand Magic Tournament last year. The young man purposely relented against the participants from the Emiliel Holy Kingdom, even though he had clearly won. She's powerful. Emily does not remember her name.

“Commander Emily and the soldiers, I give you a chance to surrender. I don't like killing enemies who can't fight. But, if you guys insist...”.

“Cannot fight..he said..”.

It wasn't Emily who muttered that word of disbelief, it was the people behind it. However, he felt the same way as them. Hearing a young man younger than him say so to him, a commander behind him lined up thousands of soldiers….

Unbelievable. Emily clenched her hands tightly, teeth grinding as if shivering.

“Commander, let's finish at—arghhhh!”

Emily's eyes immediately widened as if to get out of place. Fear began to grip his soul firmly. The sound of slash after slash was heard behind him. The screams of pain screamed loudly. Blood splashed, reddening the soil overgrown with green grass with fishy red. Even Emily felt a splash of blood splashing down her neck.

It happened so fast. Very quickly, when Emily turned around, none of her soldiers stood up. Everything has been frozen in blood with a limb that is no longer complete. A look at horror that must have traumatized someone. In fact, Emily's legs felt shaky. Mouth open close, but no word wants out ‒ no word can come out.

“I..It...how bi—”.

The shock that appeared on Emily's face was enough to make anyone who saw her think that the commander had just seen something worse than hell—and that thought was true.

Emily, who had just witnessed all her troops being killed in an instant without being able to do anything about it, now her ears heard the grimace behind her. Nor was he looking back, but still centered on the Deus Chaperon. And only one second passed.

“Illusions..”.

Emily should not be surprised, the illusion is indeed very impressive ‒ Grand Magic Tournament finals have shown it clearly. But he was surprised that it was not a play. If the young man wanted to finish her off while she was in the illusion earlier, Emily was already dead.

“I won't wait long: in ten seconds I will attack if you don't give up.”

Emily grinds her teeth ‒ she doesn't know what to do. That young man was not someone they could deal with. He could put it into an illusion without being able to notice, nothing could stop him from doing the same to his soldiers. Attacking is like choosing to die, but giving up….

“I challenge you one on one!” exclaim Emily out loud. Then he whispered back, “You join Princess Kanna; that person is strong not to play. You will only die in vain if you fight it.”

Emily did not wait for the response of her three captains, her legs stepped forward slashing her distance with the young man. “One-on-one to death!” resolute again.

This was the only solution he could think of without tarnishing the imperial honor by giving up.
