Chapter 8: Defeat in Victory, Part 6
Kanna reflexively ejects her body into the air, thinly avoiding Vermyna's dangerous hand prick. When his body was in a horizontal position in the air (a little above Vermyna), his right hand was covered in light and swung sharply trying to split the enemy. To her surprise, Vermyna suddenly twisted her body in the air; her right leg hit Kanna's hand swing.
Kanna crashed higher into the air, but the stretch of her wings made Vermyna's kick momentum decrease drastically. In the air Kanna linked her two hands together, her eight pairs of angel wings shone brightly at the same time.
Vermyna's great radiance of energy felt from Kanna, making her put the horses below with a slightly upturned face. A single blow Fie could split the ocean, Vermyna intended to produce an equally massive punch force. However, his intention had to be stopped when Xavier was already right in his right.
“You slowed down,” Vermyna commented while holding Xavier's fist with the right arm. “Ah, your lightning armor is off. Save where?”
Xavier ignored the question. He teleported to the back of Vermyna, his knees flitting up trying to hit the back of the vampire's head. However, Vermyna bowed her body in time, making Xavier hit the empty air. And Xavier instantly teleported away before a kick over Vermyna managed to hit his right shoulder.
“Seraphim Justice!”
A light laser of considerable diameter struck Vermyna's body without permission. The pressure it exerts is great. The heat that it produces is very high. Arena until flushed out. Even Vermyna's own body emitted smoke. However, Vermyna remained in place with only her left hand raised to resist the attack, while her right fist was positioned at her right waist.

Xavier fell to his knees on one leg, his breathing slightly gasping. The energy ball was an imitation version of the Turn Null. And that was the last amount of his mana; his Enchanted Flame Armor had worn off, so dying was the amount of mana Xavier. It was all because of that useless Grand Order.
“Xavier, are you okay?” kanna asked, landing right on Xavier—eight pairs of angel wings are gone.
Xavier nodded slowly, standing up slowly. “I need time to say—what happened? You lost your wings.”
“Vermyna destroyed all my wings, forcing all three of my rune formulas to fade away. I've tried using other formulas, but I can't. It will take at least a few minutes until I can use another formula.” Kanna cringing. “Vermyna has accidentally exposed the weakness of my Rune Magic Manifestation.”
“We are no longer in a favoured position, huh?” Xavier's rhetorical question came out along with Vermyna's darting from the puff of Xavier's spell blast effect. And he did not look well: his body was covered with blood here and there, his left shoulder was regenerating, and his footwear had disappeared.
“Xavier,” Vermyna landed dozens of meters in front of Kanna and Xavier. “You touched my chest fourteen times. That's sexual harassment. Now I can no longer marry; you must take responsibility.”

Xavier's mouth closed, but no words came out of his mouth.

“Kanna,” cut Xavier out of the blue, his shock had already managed to overcome quickly. “Don't you make this space anti-magic, Vermyna can't use magic?”
Kanna did not like her serious speech being cut, but she still nodded. “True. Why are you asking? I thought it was obvious; vermyna had not used her magic once. We've landed attacks on him many times.”
The question succeeded in making Kanna speechless. His eyes widened at what Xavier was looking at. Vermyna regenerated, even though this space was anti-magic other than for himself and Xavier. Kanna did not hide her confusion.
“Kanna..[Rune Magic].you made an anti-magic space by tinkering with the laws in this room, didn't you?”
Kanna nodded. “It was what I did; it was the basis of [Rune Magic]. This space is made so that it is different from the outside, it is done by changing the rules that apply in it.”
“My magic is related to those rules, and my magic doesn't work on Vermyna...”.
“Don't say...”
“Vermyna Hellvarossa.you have a high degree of resistance to the laws of the universe.” Xavier concluded, and now he completely understood why the Grand Order didn't work. “More precisely, you cannot be influenced by any rules.”
“If so...you deliberately did not use magic and manamu?” Kanna looked at Vermyna with great pain.
“I already said it, didn't I? It's going to be good practice before I face Fie. It won't be a practice if I use magic.” Vermyna sighed softly, where in great intensity flooded the arena. “And I think this exercise is enough.”
“Kanna, we have no other choice.”
“...” Kanna could not deny; he immediately eliminated the barrier that locked the arena. They had to get out of this place—although that meant escaping the fight.
“Dimensions Prison.” Vermyna inserted the arena into another dimension, and that dimension was in another dimension, and so on. “You guys will not get out of this place. Kanna made another magic circle, but it disappeared again before it was created perfectly.
At the same time, a black spear clad in purple aura manifested in the air. The spear was so big. So large, the dimensions that surround the arena until it meljong upwards. The spear was like the peak of the Amerlesia Mountains which was turned in its direction and made to float in the air. If it falls in Nevada, there will be nothing left there. The curvature of the space surrounding the spear promised nothing but masslessness.

Life energy—energy that keeps a person alive, energy that capacitates life. The total amount of energy indicates the total age of a person. Using life energy is the same as shortening life. If likened to games, life energy can be matched with HP.
When a person is injured, this energy is reduced. When a person is sick, this energy decreases. Every second this energy is reduced. And in contrast to which continues to grow in accordance with age, the energy of a person's life remains (and even decreases)— can only increase in certain ways (the change of race from humans to vampires, for example).
Life energy could not be used as easily as using mana. One had to force his physique to cross the body's boundary to be able to hope to use that energy. Life energy is stronger than mana, but not more flexible. Controlling it is much harder than controlling mana.
