The super massive energy spear descended slowly and dramatically. If it was in the sky of a city, naturally the people who saw it would subconsciously hold their breath. It was like someone was dealing directly with an unavoidable natural disaster. They can only be silent resigned, in praying to the divine that their deaths be made as tender as possible—and so that they can be accepted in the eternal paradise full of favors.
Fortunately, the spear did not fall on top of any city. It fell right above where Xavier and Kanna were standing. The spear targeted them, wanting to destroy them. Spear of Infinity—so Vermyna called it—desperate to see the absence of the two of them, their total destruction.
Xavier frowned as he failed in trying to eliminate that spell with his [Reverse Law]—mana was still not enough to do that. Also teleportation can not take him out of dimension—teleportation belonging to Xavier is not in the level of Reinhart or Catherine. Xavier is in a situation where the word “bean” can be pinned to him.
“Xavier, you better focus on filling your man.” Kanna gave the instructions, she no longer tried to teleport. “I will overcome Vermyna and her attack until you have enough mana.”
Xavier can't say no to Kanna. He nodded and sat in meditation. It would be best if he could use the same energy that Vermyna used, but Xavier never bothered to ask Nizivia about it. Therefore, he had no knowledge of how to use that energy.
Kanna who was no longer trying to make a teleportation magic circle made her body float into the air. Such a high-level attack would be a pity if he were to block; kanna would use Kurtalaegon's ability to absorb it. From the size, it won't be easy, but Kanna has no choice. That's the best solution.
The tip of the super massive spear finally approached Kanna's head. Without a second thought, Kanna's hands were raised. Like hitting an invisible wall, the black spear clad in purple aura stopped speeding. A few seconds later, his energy was slowly absorbed into Kanna's two hands.
Vermyna expected that. Both of his palms just fused together. A row of dimensional bubbles appeared before him like bubbles slowly blowing from his maker. The bubbles stick together to each other forming a large cluster. More than twenty in number, and it keeps growing.
“—Cluster Dimensions Beams.”
In a blinding speed, that cluster of dimensional bubbles spewed out dark purple lasers in high intensity. Because of the large and rapid energy spewed in the form of a laser, Vermyna's view of both targets until lost. And a series of explosions suddenly erupted filled the arena. The explosion also triggered a black spear that Kanna was absorbing to explode.
The arena shook, before it was then smashed into pieces. The same thing happened to all the dimensions that encased the arena. It showed just how great the destructive power that the Spear of Infinity explosion caused. Even Vermyna's own body would have been destroyed if he had not wrapped himself in a powerful dimensional sphere.
However, before the effect of the explosion spread further and engulfed the other dimensional bubbles that permeated this dimension, Vermyna flicked her fingers—and a space distortion appeared and sucked out all the effects of the explosion so quickly and perfectly.
Vermyna's lips curled thinly as he found no where Xavier and Kanna were.
“Menez can turn reality into illusion,” muttered Vermyna commenting on what she felt just before her Spear of Infinity exploded. “Quite interesting.” Vermyna then turned the face toward the dimensional bubble the spectators were— and Menez was no longer there. “And I thought he would barge in to be able to take Kanna and Xavier away, but it turns out he could do that remotely.”
Xavier?
That doesn't need to be asked. Although Xavier has no memory of their past, Vermyna cannot forget it. His nature might change, but his blood was still the same. He was the same Xavier as his Xavier. And Vermyna would definitely get what belonged to her, be it forcibly or voluntarily.
…But I will wait while looking for a way to restore her memory, Vermyna continued while teleporting to the front of the dimensional bubble that Evillia and the others were inside.
“You guys didn't stop Menez,” said Vermyna with eyes sharpened—pretending displeasure. “What are you thinking of opposing me, Evillia? You want information about yourself that killed Evana to the ears of the elves?”
Evillia did not refrain from snorting. He did not hide his displeasure. He really looked at Vermyna with a murderous look. Unfortunately, the eyes have no power to kill. Otherwise, Vermyna would have already vanished from the realm of existence.
“You want to test the limits of my patience?”
Evillia spontaneously gritted her teeth. “I didn't expect Menez to be able to do that,” his hiss. And Evillia's not lying. Although he does believe Menez will never be on the side of the fight with Xavier, but he does not imagine he can do that with illusions. He can erase reality by making it an illusion—something that is not real.
“So? Alright. I accept that explanation.” Vermyna nodded to herself. “Come. Now we are back in the Elf Kingdom. You will glorify the Vampire Kingdom as the savior of the Elf Kingdom. You will also clarify that your former accusation is a mere misunderstanding. You will tell me that the Vampire Kingdom has never done anything bad; it was the Elf King before him who had deceived and made use of the Elf Kingdom.”
Evillia glared sharply, both of her hands clenched tightly. He wants to throw a Supernova in the face of this fucking vampire and see if he can save himself or not. However, suppressing her fury forcefully, Evillia sighed softly and managed to nod. “I'll do what I have to do.”
Technically, the Vermillion Empire lost the war they started. The Elf Kingdom defeated them with a little help from the Vampire Kingdom. However, despite the Vermillion Empire being knocked back in this war, Evillia could not say that the Elf Kingdom was victorious. They lost the victory; a victory that tasted bitter, a sweet speck was not felt. Perhaps, it was the right conclusion to explain the state of the Elf Kingdom.
“I'll do what I have to do,” Vermyna's return as she strides to follow the others into the dimensional portal Vermyna created.
