Clashes between the two armies of different races continued even though their leader was no longer in place. Although the elves were more in number, but the Imperial Army soldiers were not cornered. Xavier would definitely not let this information get to Monica's ears. He must convince Kanna not to tell Nueva and Edward about the incident. He had to make sure the lies that Luciel— designed were ironic, the archangels lied seamlessly—only reached the ears of the four of them.
“You sure? Even after finding out she's your twin sister who you thought was dead?”
“...I have to do what I have to do,” Xavier looked intensely at Kanna, her facial expression she made as serious as possible. Kanna also looked intensely at herself. Xavier put on a faint smile, before then looking at El and stepping forward. However, his steps were held back by Kanna's hand.
“I'll take care of El, I leave Queen Evillia to you.”
“No pe—” Xavier did not finish his speech; Kanna did not listen, she already threw her fist at Luciel.
Luciel crossed both hands, blocking Kanna's fist. However, the power behind Kanna's punch was unusually strong, even Luciel had to bounce. And Kanna, following Luciel's stumbling, had no intention of forgiving.
“Is he getting stronger?” xavier asked himself, Kanna's aura felt different—he felt stronger than when using the power of the three seraphim. “How can he keep getting stronger?”
Xavier's smile received no reply; it was just the flat, cold look he gave her.
“Evillia..ini..aku...I can explain.”.
“Nothing to explain.” Evillia's words were sharp, the cold was piercing. “You've made everything clear. Twelve Commander Xavier von Hernandez, you are an enemy of the Elf Kingdom. Despite knowing that El is your twin brother, you are still siding with the empire. Unforgivable.”
“Wait, wait, Evillia, we both know what really happened. I didn't kill any elves. El was a witness. No need to put on such an expression.”
“El...you mean your twin brother?”
Xavier now believes Evillia is upset with him. More than that, the beautiful woman was angry.
