Against the World II: Transgression
Chapter 36: The Stronger Saints, part 5

At this moment, there was no precise phrase to describe the state of Axellibra other than the great chaos. Death Knights are everywhere. The Knights Templar soldiers worked hard to overcome them. Even King Lexata IX moved the sword. However, the Death Knight seemed endless. Moreover, they were inside the city, Lexata IX and his soldiers were forced to refrain from taking out a wide-scale spell.

Meanwhile, Lancelot—, who tried to attack two abnormal women who were on one of the roofs of the building—, was forced to postpone the intention due to the appearance of a mirror that issued a replica of him. Lancelot could feel her strong from just looking at her. And when their swords clashed, what Lancelot felt was truly beyond doubt. He was actually facing himself; his eyes were actually looking at his own strength.

Lancelot had no other option but to destroy his replica if he wanted to attack the two women. And that's what he's gonna do. Without the slightest doubt he swung the sword at full force.

Not far from the location of Lancelot's battle with a replica of himself, precisely on the roof of the building that the saint wanted to go to, Valeria sighed at Lilithia's rejection. The commander refused to accept the offer of the vampire queen. Unquestionably it was shocking, Lilithia was not the only person who appreciated and obeyed the agreement.

“Lantas, what if Nueva gets killed? Will you accept Miss Vermyna's offer?” ask Valeria again.

Lilithia's eyes did not budge from looking at Lancelot's battle with her replica, but she kept hearing the vampire's question.

What if Nueva gets killed?

Lilithia never thought of the possibility, but she understood that Nueva was not the strongest. To be exact, he was not yet the strongest. To die for Nueva is not something that makes no sense. Lilithia had no doubt that Xavier was now stronger than Nueva. And if Nueva dies, her wish will never be fulfilled.

“Come to me again if Nueva to death,” response Lilithia after a while. “If I have to be a vampire and work under it for my wishes to be fulfilled, let it be.” Lilithia paused for a moment and turned to the vampire. “Do you know of my wish from the traitorous Lumeira?”

“Since the beginning Lumeira was never loyal, you can't brand her a traitor. But thank you for your answer. Miss Vermyna desperately needed a strong fighter to attack the source of all misery.”

“I still can't believe Edenia's real. If he was real, there was no way he would let the people who wanted to kill him plot his death. Except.that was exactly what he wanted. Maybe he wants to create an era of the gods.or maybe he is bored and needs a challenge.”.

Lilithia raised her shoulders and stood up.

“You want to go?”

“My representative just reported that Division 12 is already at the location of Division 1 resting. I'll bring them here. You can do anything in this city, but if Neira Claudian comes before I come back, tell her I challenged her to a one-on-one duel.”

“You sure? Neira Claudian has a gravitational sword; your pride magic may not be effective against her.”

Lilithia glanced at Valeria as if she had just said the stupidest thing in the world. “Nobody is better than me in gravity,” she insisted before disappearing into the mirror.

Valeria flicked her shoulders, but her lips curved thinly. Then his gaze again anchored on Lancelot who had difficulty facing his own replica.

“Bothering Lancelot and making him die at the hands of his replicas would be interesting. Ah, but before that I have to wipe out all of Genea—'s body stock just in case Crow fails to lock up his soul.”

...— — — — —...

Lancelot growled with anger. He could not believe what the replica showed. Not only could he use all of his sword techniques, he could also use Lancelot's combined spell. Worse than that, the replica creature has just used the magic of nothingness on a sword technique that he combined with one of his flagship spells.

And of course, just as the Replica Nueva cannot communicate, so can the replica itself. Lancelot could not hope to get an answer. If he really wanted an answer, all Lancelot had to do was finish off the replica and make the maker battered.

However, Lancelot was not an idiot. He can use his brain well. His replica only used some of his spells after he used them. Even so with [Nullification Magic]—magic that can negate all attacks as long as it can be seen. Lancelot used the magic after Lancelot used it.

Does that mean he can copy anything I can do?

If that's the secret, Lancelot should be careful not to use more spells. Unless he was sure the spell he was using would be able to kill him. If not, Lancelot is worried he could sa—

His replicas suddenly forced Lancelot to ignore his thoughts. He fended off the replica's sword with his sword. Both swords are covered in fire. Lancelot tried to suppress it, but the replica did the same. As before, they could not outperform each other. And just like before, the two simultaneously jumped backwards widening the distance.

How do you deal with yourself? Lancelot wondered as he attacked again. The more he realized the action actually strengthened the replica, the more he hesitated to exert his full strength. However, if he lowers his strength, the replica doll will freely destroy the saint. I wasn't sure I could finish him off with my remaining spell. I should have realized his abilities earlier. What am I supposed to do now?

Lancelot let out a long sigh, between being annoyed at himself and being angry over the situation. What can I do, inwardly, I will use the supreme power of [Nulfication Magic]. Although I had to lose all my magic, but no pi—

“Lancelot.”

—lihan la‒Lancelot spontaneously turned to the source of the voice that had just called him. “...Miss Neira?”

A woman with a posture similar to the nephilim was already standing a dozen meters to her left, precisely on the building that the replica destroyed. Her hair was a long wavy blue, freely stroked to the back. Her clothes were what a princess used to wear, but more to a knight than an ordinary princess.

Lancelot could not continue his voice because the replica had attacked. He has been said to be a veteran, should not make mistakes such as being distracted from the enemy. The replicant really benefits from it. Lancelot cursed in his heart.

“Go to church.” The voice came from behind, but Neira herself was already behind the Lancelot Replica (which had been frozen without Lancelot noticing) with a sword in hand. “Valeria is there. Business here let me handle.”

Neira Claudian immediately stepped foot without waiting for the response of the saint. At the same time, the city sky was filled with three super massive white circles that intersected with each other.

“Holy Magic: Light of Purification, Holy Sanctuary, Holy Disintegration.”

And soon the city was filled with holy light. The frozen replica of Lancelot vanished like a paper dropped in a pool of fire. And so was the fate of all the Death Knights that filled the capital.

…The only one who was better at [Holy Magic] surpassing Saint Petra was none other than that blue-eyed lady.

Lancelot thanked in silence, then darted towards the church as instructed.
