The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 120 - Main Round II

"Say Miss Ren Yuan who is honorable, I apologize for looking for trouble with you." Zhuan Ang practiced while folding both his hands arrogantly.

"Well, that's my apology already represented by him. The tournament will begin soon. I have to go."

Xin Fai walked leisurely past the three people, she deliberately nudged Gong Li's shoulder while smiling obliquely.

Gong Li cursed out loud, he couldn't calm down to get such obnoxious treatment. No one has ever treated Miss Ren and herself this badly.

Xin Fai turned her head for a while before continuing her path. "Hm? Just being nudged you're already angry, really disgusting." He turned Ren Yuan's words to them then chuckled until it disappeared from the crowd.

Li Yong was stunned to see the crazy behavior of this child, he was speechlessly confused like a statue. His face paled like a corpse when he realized Ho Shing was already standing before them. "Is there a problem?"

Immediately Li Yong panicked, he tried to think of an excuse to defend himself but Ren Yuan first refuted.

"Nothing, Teacher. We were just talking."

Although Ren Yuan's surprise did not concern the nature of Xin Fai earlier, Li Yong could still feel the irritation from the girl's gaze.

"Thank God. Pastor Li, it's good to see you again. And you are also disciples of the Lotus Temple," Ho Shing looked at Shen Xuemei and also Huang Kun kindly.

The three of them replied awkwardly, the person who was looking for trouble with Ren Yuan had already escaped and was not seen again. Li Yong could only patiently look at Xin Fai's behavior, he intended to punish the child after arriving at the residence later.

Somewhat long into pleasantries finally Li Yong was able to break away from Ho Shing, the man immediately went to deliver his disciple to prepare himself in the main round of the tournament.

"Xin Fai it... It's so strange that he. Looking for trouble with the nobles." Huang Kun grumbled in annoyance as his eyes swept all over and did not find the person he was talking about.

Shen Xuemei gave a small snort, while Li Yong stopped walking when he found something.

"That's Xin Fai? What's he doing?"

They approached Xin Fai who was walking towards somewhere, as Li Yong patted her shoulder he turned his head for a while.

Xin Fai looked forward again but the person she had followed had disappeared from the crowd.

"What are you looking for, Faifai?" Huang Kun took a look at Xin Fai's gaze but found no irregularities there.

Xin Fai breathed an irritated sigh as his target managed to escape, he was annoyed at Li Yong but did not dare to say so.

"Nothing, I'm just taking a walk."

After saying that Li Yong said they should focus on the tournament today, Xin Fai looked around and tried to think optimistically. The security guards that the White Mist Valley deployed were numerous, among them even some had already entered the stage of great warriors.

Seeing the tight security and the presence of many white-neutral flow heroes in this tournament made Xin Fai a little relieved, after all Imperial Pillars like Yong Tao, after all, Yang Guifei and the other three were present plus the number of sect elders who had arrived, the strength of the white-neutral sect master in the White Mist Valley was enormous.

And if you look around again the situation should run safely and smoothly. But Xin Fai's premonition did not improve from last night, he could only hope that nothing bad would happen during the course of this tournament.

Yang Guifei was now advancing before the audience, he spoke out loud so that it could be heard by everyone in the stadium.

"Welcome to the Young Swordsman Tournament! Today we will witness the main round which has been filled by selected young warriors from all over the Shang Empire. All the participants who entered this round could be certain to have a high potential to win each other the seat of the Imperial Pillar, let's give appreciation and support to all of them!"

The enthusiasm of the audience watching the candidates for the Imperial Pillar was enormous. The sound of gongs also trumpeted the atmosphere of the Young Swordsman Tournament of this period.

Some time was spent with a word of welcome from Qin Gaozu, after which Yang Guifei again rose to the top of the arena and declared the main round to officially begin.

Yang Guifei paused for a moment until the audience started to calm down, next he called out the number of participants who were about to perform.

Ren Yuan advanced along with a young man named Huang Kun, the young man seemed to be inexhaustible today he had to deal with a girl who was a noble family.

Of course Huang Kun who often relied on physicality in fighting must be able to refrain from injuring Ren Yuan considering that the girl was a member of a noble family.

Huang Kun's worry made Yang Guifei speak up.

"In this match there are no exceptions on opponents who come from noble families. The opponent is free to attack and of course must know the limits. Remember, this is a friendly match. Fight as fair as possible."

Finished giving directions finally his second match began, Huang Kun pulled his sword hesitantly. He did not have the confidence as in the preliminary round yesterday making every move he made more rigid even tend to be stifled.

Though Huang Kun was among the most awaited participants of his fight by the audience, but in the presence of Ren Yuan he became a dead louse because he continued to focus carefully in order not to hurt the girl.

Xin Fai patted the eel in place, she laughed wryly and her eyes were lazy to look at Huang Kun.

"Don't say he didn't dare to hurt the girl for liking her," Xin Fai's rant could be heard by Shen Xuemei. The young man frowned for a while then turned his face to the arena of the match.

"Just bother. I'd like to tell him he won't listen."

"Hem. That's how it is, Senior Huang is a fool."

Huang Kun brushed off Ren Yuan's attack but some managed to hit him, while himself did not put up any resistance to avenge Ren Yuan.

The tempo of the attack that was intensified faster until finally Huang Kun was able to handle it all.

With the ease with which the sword in Huang Kun's hand was thrown as he tried to fend off the attack, Ren Yuan was not an amateur in playing a weapon. Since childhood he has practiced swords, which is what makes him famous for being a genius and always proud of the noble families.

Ren Yuan put his hair back together with his signature haughty style.

"Huh! Such a weak opponent!"

"I'm sorry..." Huang Kun stammered, he looked at the extremely beautiful face of Ren Yuan. Without realizing it, Ren Yuan's two best friends squinted at Huang Kun. They felt troubled by Huang Kun's gaze on Ren Yuan.

"Then why don't you just give up?"

"I don't want to give up, at least if you want to defeat me you have to use all your abilities."

Ren Yuan was annoyed. "Using all my abilities against commoners like you? Don't dream!"

After saying that Huang Kun moved quickly to attack Ren Yuan, he continuously drained the girl and intended to win without hurting her. But it seemed like it was very difficult to do considering that Ren Yuan was a formidable opponent.
