"Chairman Xin, what's up!?" The others clearly panicked when they saw the look on the young man's face, it was simply not good to say.
"Let the screen! We should get there faster!"
"Ready, Chief!" another exclaimed immediately obeying orders, the smoke of the fire from the housing began to thicken above the air. It is increasingly clear that the state of the city is now not much different from the White Fog Valley.
In order to speed up the ship some others rowed, they arrived at the bridge and immediately descended pulling the sword. Prepare to fight for the next time. The leader of the Sacred Sword Alliance stepped first from the others, leading their way from the front. Lan An was by his side while keeping watch.
But long enough around the entire city that was visible was only the corpse of the black swordsmen who had rotted in the face of flies, Xin Fai squatted to make sure the state of one of the corpses. Not finding any incision wounds, but blood splattered on the ground where it was splashed.
Xin Fai propped her hands up in thought. "What actually happened? That Zhu Yue, where did she bring the alliance members?"
"Chairman, may they all be dead..." One of the members let out a worried voice.
"Don't think the no-no first" refutes the others. Meanwhile Lan An took turns observing the body of the corpse. "He's poisoned. I memorized the poison made by the Ming Clan, one of the most powerful poison mixers in our Empire, come to think of it later they also started making moves against the Blood Devil Man after one of their families killed them."
Lan An told, a glance of the wind blew the dry foliage along the city road.
"If this had anything to do with them it was likely that half the alliance members still had hope of surviving."
"Hopefully it is like that."
Xin Fai looked for a seat for a while, she sat cross-legged in the shade then closed her eyes. Lan An moved towards her curiously but Xin Fai first held her back with a hand gesture, telling them all to be quiet for some time.
Inaudible to any sounds, they compactly shut their mouths waiting for Xin Fai to respond. The young man's eyes opened slowly, his eyes slowly heading towards the south where the voices of dozens of people sounded faintly from a distance.
Lan An scanned the direction of her gaze and could see a mountain there, she began to be able to guess Xin Fai's thoughts. Then the troops were moved to follow the direction of the departure, through the thick and deep forests until arriving at the foot of the mountain to find dozens of bodies lying lifeless there.
They walked in vigilantly, suspecting that there was still an enemy controlling this place. Xin Fai could hear a bowstring now being pulled strong, he turned his head quickly towards the front where a pile of oil barrels had been waiting for them.
"Everything! Back off!" he shouted loudly, the troops immediately ran away from the oil barrels at the right time. No one was seriously injured because they realized it first.
"Chairman Xin?" The bow puller dropped his weapon from the hand, he stood between a high cliff together with two other people.
"Hold attack! Those Sacred Sword Alliance have returned!" One of them shouted out loud, a few minutes later about five people came to greet them. Hands filled with burns and cuts, looking desperately to survive in the city.
"You guys... What the hell's going on? Where is Vice Zhu?"
"Vice Zhu, he..." The man did not continue his words, his friend at the side nudged for him to tell immediately.
"He's dying now, it's been a few hours. Ever since the Chairman left the city, the other Blood Devil Humans have come to surround us."
"Damn it, my hunch really happened." He grumbled a little, scratching the back of his head uncomfortably.
The Sacred Sword Alliance simultaneously walked towards the surrounding mountain surrounded by the high seas, they moved behind the mountain towards a place that was extremely hard to reach until they found a gap the size of an adult body.
"Through here, Chief." One by one the warriors entered through the gap and were able to find local residents evacuated inside the large cave, seen some of the alliance members who had sustained injuries before. Either their numbers were still the same or not Xin Fai could not be certain.
The young man approached the body of Zhu Yue who was now being treated by a woman in her 50s, his facial burns were clearly visible and his eyes were torn in a sharp knife incision.
"I shouldn't have left all of you here." he murmured softly, but had he brought the alliance members fully, it was certain that there would not be a single city resident left and that this city would be the next enemy territory. Xin Fai shook her head weakly, hoping that Zhu Yue could still survive even longer.
"What happened while I was gone?" tanyakanya.
One of the members replied, he started telling a long story. "I was at the residence taking care of the injured members, not knowing that suddenly the enemy had come to besiege. Ho Xiuhan directly told us to immediately leave the residence and sure enough the house was burnt down by them."
"What about Zhu Yue?"
"He along with the villagers cut down trees to build the fort, during the attack no one fought according to Vice Zhu, the Chairman. So we can only escape here with the remaining residents... But..."
"But why?"
"But the enemy followed us from behind, making the evacuation site tracked by them. Vice Zhu insisted on returning to the city alone, no one could stop him. While we are trying to defend this place to protect the residents inside. Just know that after that Zhu Yue brought back the oil barrels using the cart, he said as a defense of all of us. And his condition is as the Chairman sees it now."
Xin Fai smiled miserably, not expecting Zhu Yue to go that far in order to save everyone's lives. He became a little amazed, having a partner like Zhu Yue was a fortune. He can be relied upon in difficult times like this.
"Some leave it to us." Just that was what sounded from his mouth, Xin Fai helped heal Zhu Yue's body with her inner strength. It did take quite a long time but slowly the man's body improved, his breathing roar more regularly than before.
During that time the members of the Sacred Sword Alliance who were carrying medicine and resources from the White Mist Valley handed them over to the injured. They were shoulder to shoulder, some went hunting and some were looking for firewood.
At nightfall, Lan An drew closer to the campfire and sat down next to Xin Fai.
"Your fellow alians are so compact, I am speechless to see them all."
"Yes, that's it. I think the decision that day was right."
"What are you talking about?"
"No, forget it. Tonight we sleep here waiting for tomorrow morning, I think we should move from here as soon as possible to reach our ultimate goal."
"Well, fine, Chairman Xin." Lan An chuckled after saying that. Small tents were set up across the stone wall and he entered one of them to rest.
While Xin Fai went outside looking for fresh air while keeping watch for the arrival of the enemy.
