Ch. 81 - Massacre Village
The streets were muddled by the heavy rain last night, it was still early morning but Li Yong's entourage hurried away from the inn.
Huang Kun looked at the Xin Fai from earlier like he was unwilling to talk to her, his face looking sad.
"Fai'er, I won't hate you just because you killed the Blood Devil Man."
Xin Fai looked back at Huang Kun whose running was slower, she did not expect her senior to know what was on her mind.
"Senior, i..."
Since Li Yong was starting to feel bad about mediating, he did not blame Xin Fai because the child was completely innocent. However seeing a minor seem to kill five adults certainly made Xin Fai have a bad impression in the eyes of the people.
"Sometimes, you two will do the same as Fai'er did last night..." Li Yong said calmly. "Either to protect your loved ones, or to uphold justice. Therefore you are trained to have the power to be able to protect everyone."
Li Yong's slight words made the awkwardness around them start to dissipate, Huang Kun smiled kindly as usual at his junior.
"You hear that? Ah, actually last night I wanted to intervene too. But since seeing them is not comparable to me, then I think your strength is enough to stop them!" Those confident words invited laughter.
They all laughed cheerfully except for Shen Xuemei who, no matter the circumstances surrounding him, was more focused on looking ahead.
Seeing Shen Xuemei's expression change, Li Yong tried to look for the oddities around him and sure enough his nose could smell something very fishy.
Xin Fai already knew it, he could even hear the sound of swords clashing within four hundred meters ahead. Li Yong sped up his pace making Huang Kun again overwhelmed by the balance.
While Xin Fai no longer cared about the surroundings, he chose to run faster than Li Yong and saw the situation in a small village.
Smoke billowed over the sky, there were many screams in front of him as well as the smell of fresh blood. Xin Fai slashed the twigs and leaves that blocked his path, when he encountered the road directly facing the village he was faced with two Blood Demon Man who possessed strength equivalent to a stage 1 great warrior.
The Demonic Blood Man Sword they possessed was also much more special. There are four gems scattered at each point, as well as a line of reddish indentations that make it look violent.
One of them went to the waist. "Ch, look at us one boy's arrival. He's not really afraid of dying." The man spat as if making fun of Xin Fai.
Xin Fai stole a backward glance and saw dozens of residents gathered at one place. They were seen begging for mercy on the members of the Blood Demon Man who took their lives one by one.
"You-you!?"
"Hey boy, I'll spare your life if you leave now."
Xin Fai's teeth clasped loudly, her hands clenched tightly together. "You really are vile humans! What's the point of you killing innocent people like them?!"
The two men laughed so hard that they even let out tears.
"You won't understand, boy. The world is so hard. Let me tell you a little bit," the man threw. "To be able to become the feared person in our group, we only need to kill as many as possible. And our Master will give us strength again and again! That's what we want, hahaha!!"
The two men laughed.
The two men did not reply, Xin Fai thought that scraping through the information of these two men was futile. He chose to speed up the pace, and save the residents within the village who might be able to survive.
"Lang!"
"Grooaah!"
A golden light appeared in an instant, the two great warriors were shocked to see that a boy like Xin Fai had the infamous wolf demon.
"Golden-Hairy Wolf?! He's no ordinary boy!"
"Is he from the Empire?!" One of them guessed panic.
"Lang, you take care of the one here let me take care of it inside!"
"Easy it." Lang scratched his ears with his feet, like getting a new toy the wolf put on his happy face.
Despite having a grand swordsman level, they both felt small when faced with Lang. Lang gave no room for them to chase after Xin Fai nor escape. The wolf spoke briefly.
"I haven't played games in a long time."
With the Lightning Steps not taking long to arrive in the middle of the village, the Demon Blood Man army here had weaker strength. The average was only a stage 3 intermediate swordsman level and some were close to entering the great swordsman but to Xin Fai they were not a threat at all.
Previously, Xin Fai had already killed nearly thirty lives of the Blood Devil army that was the level of a great swordsman. Even though he was using the Five Eyes Centipede poison to weaken them.
There were about twenty adult men who each held weapons, as their levels were still low hence their weapons were still commonly used by people.
No one was aware of his existence even until Xin Fai stopped right near the man who was standing at the very end.
"Hi," Xin Fai greeted with her best smile. The man had just realized his presence, had not had time to fully turn his head suddenly had already fallen on the ground.
The women screamed when they saw it, although Xin Fai was certainly on their side yet the sight of a little boy killing like that was not a natural thing.
While killing the person Xin Fai felt that something had been snatched from him, sometimes by itself his body emitted a murderous aura from the mouse stealth gem.
The other Demonic Blood Humans began to put up a standby attitude, they took up their respective weapons even though they did not understand the situation very well. Xin Fai's sudden presence and the death of one of their friends made the atmosphere instantly rowdy.
A man looked back when he heard the clattering of legs, he could see for a moment someone was jumping at him.
"I'll kill you all!"
The man's neck spurted blood, everything happened so fast that no one could even follow Xin Fai's movements with the naked eye.
