The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 192 - The Alliance of the Moving Sacred Swords

They immediately followed the man's steps until they arrived at a house with many human statues on display facing the side of the road, the dry clay filled the place in such a way that it appeared to be a simple, crowded house.

Xin Fai seemed to be aware of what this shabby man wanted but was still curious as to who told him to do this all.

"Decutor Yong Tao said the first Imperial Pillar candidate is still alive and told me to make a Pillar statue for you."

The man showed a statue that had not been carved into his face but at least the body of the statue was not a child anymore and used a large robe that was so beautiful, the man said. "Let me see your face for a minute."

Xin Fai let his face be held in such a way by the old man, it didn't take long before he stopped and turned around to pick up his sculpting tools.

"You can go now."

"Thank you."

Xin Fai left the place feeling that there was nothing to say anymore because the man was already busy with his work of sculpting statues, to be honest he could tell when the man was holding his face he was measuring the extent of his abilities. Swordsman who switched professions to sculptor statue at least has some privileges that are not owned by others.

Zhu Yue who was still resting on her ground was intending to leave before she heard the man chuckle.

"Truly an interesting kid, that number one wasn't lying to me."

***

Days of travel to the base that the Blood Devil Man established in the abandoned village walked, in fact there were many obstacles when they passed through the area that had been controlled by the enemy. Bloody battles were constantly going on, even several times they found the village that was now a sea of wrestling corpses.

Swordsman who were in the entourage of course disgusted by this, they chose to continue the journey while occasionally glancing briefly behind the place where the village full of corpses was located.

Presumably it had even been ten days of travel passed on by relying on the map that Xin Fai had obtained, actually, they can travel without using horses, but nevertheless among them there are still warriors whose running speed is still at the level of light.

"Chairman, we've reached our destination!" Zhu Yue exclaimed loudly, she approached Xin Fai's horse.

Xin Fai descended from his horse slowly while throwing a glance at the Blood Demon Man base that had been left behind, he squeezed his finger full of annoyance. If he only moved by himself it is not impossible that the humans who previously lived in this place have become carcasses but want how else everything has happened.

The news of the massacre in Sanmin City became a terror of its own for the black stream warriors especially the Blood Demon Man. It seems that they are starting to be wary of responding to this and continue to move places from where he stopped.

"Dam... They had already fled," the young man regretted turning his gaze to the Sacred Sword Alliance. "We continue our journey as soon as possible, from the circumstances this place has only been abandoned one day."

Horses were driven quickly to destroy the poles and also the rest of the tents there, the troops moved at high speed following the enemy but unfortunately the rain that flooded the village last night had wiped out their footprints.

When the sun began to sink leaving a tinge of red at the western end, they arrived at a village directly opposite the sea. In the village it was quiet so felt without anyone intending to get out of the house.

The Holy Sword Alliance moving in the square gave off quite a large sound from the clattering of horse legs, some of the girls peeked behind the curtains in a cautious manner as the men prepared with weapons.

Zhu Yue knocked on the door of one of the houses and came out a woman with a thin body that was not contained, under her feet a little child hanging down crying.

"I'm sorry, sir... We have nothing more to give you," the woman cried. He took out his empty rice basket. "Please don't kill us, sir. I can give you–"

"Enough," cut Xin Fai down from his horse. He looked around and found residents peering out from behind the crack of his house. "We're not black warriors, we're here to pursue them."

"Master, both black and white in this messy era, it's meaningless..."

"You mean?"

The woman stroked her son's head dearly, it seemed that she was being struck by a great hunger but she tried to hide it. "This war resulted in reduced farming and food production, many foodstuffs were no longer sold in various places and those who could not get it chose to steal it from the citizens..."

Zhu Yue muttered in disbelief, she still thought this woman might not be able to tell the difference between a white and black swordsman.

"Do you know where they came from? If I may know what their characteristics are?"

The woman's lips trembled slightly in fear as she wanted to say, she was worried that this group she was referring to had suddenly appeared and killed her in the blink of an eye. However when she saw Xin Fai eyes somehow her feelings became safer.

"They came from a neutral stream, one of them using a crushing axe with a snake emblem."

"It's not the Ghost Desert sect? Recently their movements had become very suspicious, who knew they were plotting with the enemy," Zhu Yue said in a serious manner. This means that massive chaos has occurred in a number of villages but has not yet reached a safe city like Renwu City. This state of affairs had of course been realized by Yong Tao first but the man never said it.

"Vice Zhu, please take out half our food supply."

Zhu Yue scrunched her forehead until she understood the meaning of the words. "But Chairman–"

"We can buy it somewhere else later."

"As this woman said, Chief. Elsewhere also the difficulty of getting rice even though we have a lot of gold not necessarily they want to sell it is to eat their own distress, it is not impossible we lack food supplies when on the way later."

"Wherever we can buy food, their lives cannot be bought."

The woman before Xin Fai began to tear up at the words, not knowing how long she had not found a warrior like him.

Not so long after half the supplies were transported in front of the woman's house, some residents came out of their homes to receive the food and flocked to receive it.

Behind the happiness of those residents was only Zhu Yue and the members of the Sacred Sword Alliance who seemed to be in distress, in fact Xin Fai still had a large supply of electric eels inside his space ring and one eel itself could withstand being hungry for at least a day. Yet he did not want to say it straight away unless the situation was really desperate.

The little folk in the starving village stared at the departure of the Sacred Sword Alliance a little unwillingly, had they been willing to stay with them it felt like the fear of the threat of leaving home was no longer needed. A woman walking in the middle of the road slightly dragged, she looked at the group until it disappeared from her sight.
