The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 219 - Return to the Lotus Temple

"They put the blood in people's drinks! That's why they're getting more and more! Whether it's an official member or not..." Xin Fai tightened her fist. "They keep moving on that murderous desire, following the devil..."

"This dirty deed is truly unforgivable!" Zhuan Ang flicked his hand at the table causing a bang, Gong Li tried to calm down but the young man was already in a state of flutter.

Everyone's thoughts were certainly the same as what Zhuan Ang felt, no one wanted to refute because indeed his words were true. The meeting resumed, those who are more experienced to submit proposals that can help deal with this problem.

"We must prepare tens of thousands of troops to face this greatest enemy, that way, I will do whatever I can and you," the old granny pointed at Xin Fai. "I know you have the strength to face this, whatever the way, you have to lead this war!"

With so many questions coming out of their mouths, of course, the advisor had a strong reputation and rarely had his decisions wrong. She unhesitatingly pointed at Xin Fai.

Xin Fai stood up showing her respect. "I'm willing, once I'm officially appointed to the Imperial Pillar we'll instantly welcome them in its enclosure."

The sailcloth fluttered with the strong south wind, the sea moving with the sound of seagulls in the afternoon. The city harbor was bustling in the blink of an eye and the journey towards the Lotus Temple became quite difficult to do since no ships were moving towards their destination.

Shen Xuemei sighed many times, how long had she waited for Xin Fai to return but judging from a distance alone she already knew no one was willing to take them. Waiting for the young man to think of something. The decision of the closed meeting this morning was a big plan and involved many parties, there would definitely be pros and cons throughout the Shang Empire later.

In addition, the East Wind Mountain sect directly supported a major war that would probably take place in a few more years, depending on how long the preparations took. Gathering tens of thousands of warriors certainly takes a long time, even many are likely to oppose this decision.

Want to how else, the East Wind Mountain sect had a powerful influence. It was not impossible for them to invite the other big sects to join. Moreover, the Ren clan had a great influence in the Empire's politics, sooner or later the sea of blood would come back to happen again before his eyes.

"Oi, Senior Shen!" Xin Fai shook hands a few times before Shen Xuemei's eyes but the young man was not conscious at all. Moments he finally blinked and was shocked when he saw Xin Fai standing in front of him.

"I found a ship that's in line with our destination, now, let's go." Xin Fai ran over while wearing a hand gesture telling her to come with him.

Zhu Yue forced her smile as Shen Xuemei hesitated to stare. I don't know what had happened while he was busy daydreaming until the vice of the Sacred Sword Alliance trembled in fear. Seen the owner of the ship half-running into entering his ship, he immediately waved his hand telling them to enter.

The afternoon breeze that looked peaceful while on land turned into a gripping cloud scroll upon arriving in the middle of the sea. Waves began to rise lifting the hull, the wind blew away some of the goods and plunged them into the sea at high speed.

This situation had already been expected by the owner of the ship before, but because Xin Fai insisted and said he had to go to the destination immediately the man had no choice.

Again a large wave came and hit the wall of the ship very strong, making the ship move as if it would be bowed. The mast began to break and then was blown back by the wind, the wood stuck on the shoulder of one of the alliance members unwittingly.

Lightning continued under the dark cloud, in a precarious state they remained until finally an hour later the condition began to stabilize. Some people vomited their guts on the edge of the ship, grumbled and shook their heads. The violent waves were so terrible.

"Lately the weather is getting worse." said the ship owner turned his head up in the sky.

"Isn't that natural?" Xin Fai followed towards him. There was a look of fear on the man's face.

"Oh, I heard that recently on the high seas opposite Renwu town there was a Demon Lord of the Earth who appeared. Even if you look at it from the seafront, it will be visible."

"You mean the water dragon?"

"Who else if not the Water Ruler Demon, just hearing his voice I would have wanted to jump."

The news left Xin Fai speechless for a long time until not far from their sight there appeared to be a small port and several cargo ships stopped there. The sounds of the crowd began to be heard until finally the ship was tendered.

The Sacred Sword Alliance descended in unison in an orderly manner, some of them still deathly pale from seasickness. Ho Xiuhan who was tied up to be unconscious as well, Xin Fai carried the man's body and climbed onto the horse that Zhu Yue had bought.

While Shen Xuemei was escorted by Zhu Yue himself because his condition was also not exactly fine. They walked hand in hand through the small village and entered through the endless dense forests.

The location of the Lotus Temple is very hidden, the building of these temples was erected right in front of the mountain with a vast expanse of lake in front of it.

The fragrance from the wildflowers began to be felt, the old atmosphere that Shen Xuemei and Xin Fai were longing for began to look in plain sight. Leaves and flowers fell on the bridge that connected directly with the gate of the sect. The flag of the Lotus Temple and also the huge bell seemed to welcome the arrival of all of them. Yet strangely there was no one in this place, it made the Sacred Sword Alliance stop when it arrived at the gate.

Faintly airing someone's existence began to feel, Xin Fai raised his face then pulled the sword in response to the sudden attack behind without turning his head.

The figure that was intending to attack them was fixated in a few seconds, he choked his own breath when he saw Shen Xuemei. His eyeballs that were once full of hope are now starting to grow turbid due to the relentless fatigue that comes to hit. That man was Li Yong, the Lotus Temple priest who was still standing firmly defending his sect.

"Shen Xuemei's..." The man's tone trembled, he let go of the stick in his grasp and moved closer to his beloved disciple.

"You're alive, thank goodness."

Shen Xuemei got off the horse, hugging her teacher whom she had long yearned for. Somehow he felt something was lacking, the young man turned to look for someone's whereabouts but could not find them.
