The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 150 - Painful New Sheets

The sound of water droplets echoing in an unfamiliar place, sturdy rocks curved above the ceiling filled by pointed limestone form cones downward.

The river flow inside this place flowed slowly along with the sound of the incoming wind, beside the small stream lay a person who had been unconscious for approximately four days.

The sound of water droplets repeatedly heard made him blink his eyes and try to get up from that place.

Xin Fai twisted the view of still gathering lives, she did not remember too much what happened before. But when he realized his eyes could not see anything at all at a glance the memory of the war when the Young Swordsman Tournament reminded him of something.

The boy's hand clenched tightly, he clenched his teeth furiously trying to shed his frustration but it was completely useless. When his memory was immediately on Lang, he tried to feel the air around him and could find nothing but darkness and silence.

"Ah... So you know what, it's like to be blind?" Xin Fai breathed heavily into reality, although she could not accept it completely yet but she had to live a life without eyesight again after this.

The sound of splashing water and the sound of his footsteps that echoed made Xin Fai sure he was now in a cave, the sound of bat squeals was heard on the roofs of caves filled with sharp rocks, and the sound of bats was heard, he still felt around him until he finally stumbled and splashed into the river.

"Agh! This is fucking shit!" He tried to get out of the stream before something strange stung him down there.

A slippery animal with a body filled with electricity, sharp teeth and a face resembling the shape of a dragon roamed at the bottom of the water that was only a hundred meters deep attacked him. Their numbers were overwhelming and exceeded even by hundreds, Xin Fai hurriedly came out of the river and realized his feet were in deep trouble.

If if the skin was the same as an ordinary person, Xin Fai was sure that his feet were now burned with blood due to the sting. He who still did not really understand where he was at this moment was shocked by an extremely powerful demon aura.

The demon aura was the same as the aura of the Water Ruler Demon, Xin Fai was very certain of that. He gulped his gulp violently trying not to retreat even though he was eager to run as far as possible because the pressure of the aura released by the creature was very inhumane.

"Hurry to sleep, boy."

Xin Fai asked hesitantly. "How many days have I been unconscious?"

"Hm? One more year." The voice of the creature was very relaxed as he said it, he was standing on a huge rock. Above it was a hole illuminated by the morning sunlight, although it could not see it but the creature in front of Xin Fai this time was a Lightning Fox of the Sky Ruler Demon.

"One year?! You serious?!"

"Hey boy, lower your voice a little. I was just kidding." The fox snorted in annoyance, he again closed his eyes enjoying the morning sunlight.

"Huh?"

The Lightning Fox turned her silver eyeballs lazily, she simply did not understand why this human she saved four days ago had absolutely no idea what the word joking meant. Choosing not to waste any more time, the Lightning Fox went straight to the point.

"You've been unconscious for four days, I thought you'd wake up in the next month. Apparently my guess is wrong."

This time the tone of the Lightning Fox seemed ordinary, if you think about it the demon seemed harmless. If she was intending to harm Xin Fai she should have been able to do it when she fainted.

Xin Fai checked his body with a palpable hand, there were some wounds that were still gaping wide but seemed to start to dry up thanks to the rapid regeneration of his body. One more question remained unanswered, Xin Fai now had absolutely no idea where Lang was.

"You want to ask where your serigalam is? If so, you don't have to look for it anymore. He was dead when I brought him here."

That stealthy word was like a broad daylight lightning striking him, Xin Fai widened his eyes so wide that his throat was blocked. All his words were on the tip of his lips.

"What-what!? You're.... Ahahahah, I won't be fooled again like that, don't joke with me. Quickly tell where the wandering wolf is, we have to return to– immediately"

"Do you see now that I look like I'm joking?" he said coldly, there was no deception like that. Xin Fai gulped his saliva in cold sweat. He could not think clearly other than to feel his eye pellets begin to warm up.

Feeling the fox was lying Xin Fai tried to confirm it herself.

"Langs... Lang! Wolf chatty!? Where are you going!?"

The loud cry echoed for a few seconds, Xin Fai twisted his body while listening carefully but it was certain that inside the cave there was now only himself and the fox demon. "Lang can't die! He's a demon belonging to the Celestial Emperor and can't possibly be that weak!"

"Hm? You doubt my words?" The Lightning Fox woke up feeling offended, she came down from the boulder and walked over to Xin Fai who was busy looking for Lang despite not being able to see.

Xin Fai could feel the Thunder Fox demon approaching him, the river current vibrating as it even the electric eel inside moved quietly not as much as it was. They seemed to pay respect to the Sky Ruler Demon.

"Blow up."

A body emerged from the void, Xin Fai could immediately feel Lang beside him. He crouched down slowly and when his hands could touch that body, he seemed shaken to be unable to accept reality.

Xin Fai's hands clenched tightly, despite trying not to cry, but for several months this adventure with the chatty wandering wolf made him rise again when in a state of slump, when he loses his entire family and gets the curse of becoming a Devil Man.

"This is impossible..." Xin Fai stroked the wolf's tail, his body stiff as well as cold. No more spicy words came out of his mouth that were now silent forever. Xin Fai tried to feel the wolf's stomach, there were many traces of arrow stabs and also a wide gaping burning wound due to the stealth fire from the Blood Devil Man's arrow that pierced through his internal organs.

"I thought you knew how bad things were before you got here. Being able to run all the way to this place I think is a miracle with its terrible condition." The Lightning Fox continued, "A single stealth fire arrow can burn an ordinary human body within thirty seconds. While the wolf can still survive by running half-dead to get to this place."

Xin Fai lowered her head, unwilling to cry as she used to. But the Lightning Fox continued to offend things that now became very painful in his ears.

"I've never seen a demon so loyal to its master like this, even the Cat Master would think twice about risking his life for the sake of a human being..."

"Master Cat?"

"You don't know? That cat demon even made up the organization you call the Warrior."
