Ch. 247 - A Long Debate
"You have a sister? Why didn't you ever tell me?" Yong Tao said enthusiastically, his tense face started to soften upon hearing this but his smile slowly loosened upon seeing his interlocutor moody. Something is wrong with his words.
Xin Fai looked up at the lush foliage of the tree she was leaning against, trying to recall the past about her sister Xin Xia. While at the village house Peiyu used to do many things together but when his village was destroyed he could not protect his sister.
"Xin Xia's... He's a submissive boy. I know him very well, he's not gonna do anything that's gonna hurt the people closest to him."
"Admirable sister," responded Yong Tao gently.
"It is precisely because he does not want to hurt others that he will sacrifice himself to make up for it."
Lan An scrunched her forehead. "you mean? Sacrificing yourself? Do you know anything about this?"
There was no response after that, only the sound of small bird squeaks could be heard around the village lake.
"Senior Yong, what do you think if one of your enemies is the one you want to protect?"
Raising next to his eyebrows in wonder as well as wondering Yong Tao could not answer anything. The man looked at Xin Fai like he was looking for something, he began to understand the meaning of the words that had just come out of the young man's mouth.
"Why suddenly discuss the enemy? Wasn't that talking about your sister?"
"The two are related, Senior Yong."
Yong Tao rounded his eyeballs in disbelief of his conjecture, but he himself could not deny the reality because he did not know anything about Xin Fai's younger brother. All he knew was that the young man had come from the Lotus Temple sect with Shen Xuemei, Huang Kun and Li Yong. Seizing the position of the first candidate of the Imperial Pillar and returning from the Mist Forest after disappearing for several years.

His fist became even tighter upon hearing the truth, Xin Fai really wanted to know the reason Xin Xia joined the Blood Devil Man. As far as she was familiar, Xin Xia would not do such a bad thing in her life.
"Senior, if you were in my position what would you do? Killing your own sister and saving everyone or becoming everyone's enemy to save her?"
"Your brother is now in the enemy's restraint, as the leader of the Sacred Sword Alliance you should know what to do." Yong Tao patted his shoulder steeled.
Now that Lan An was coming out with her voice, she patted Xin Fai's back rather loudly.
"Destroying the prison that was holding him back, little brother I know only you can do it."
"Oh, yeah. Thanks though. I know what I have to do from now on."
While leaning back on the trunk of the Yong Tao tree voiced out, he crossed both hands in front of his chest. "Then can we hear your plan? Maybe it can help?"
Lan An responded first, she could feel that the young man was planning something that threatened her life. At the very least Lan An understood how Xin Fai's character was, she always moved freely as she wished no matter what it was to endanger her own life.
"I will search for the Demonic Human Sword and the Celestial Emperor Sword in the Qing Empire."
"What?!" Yong Tao choked on his own breath, he coughed for a few seconds before observing Xin Fai from top to bottom.
"You're serious about what you say? You're going to take dozens of lives of the Sacred Sword Alliance away to the Qing Empire? Not necessarily they can accept our presence let alone the last few years of conflict in our Empire with them."
"I will think of a way to enter their Empire tomorrow," he said. Suddenly Lan An held her arm, still trying to ascertain her own hearing.
"You're going there? Why should it be there? Besides, the sword you've been looking for has disappeared for thousands of years without anyone knowing where it has been since Qiang Jun died."
"You yourself know where Qiang Jun died from? Have you ever seen his body?"
Lan An wanted to retaliate but simply did not have enough arguments to stop Xin Fai.
"All we see now is just the statue, no one knows where the real tomb is."
This time Yong Tao gave him advice, feeling that searching for the two legendary swords was an impossibility. Plus the time searching for it will take decades and not necessarily really going to find it.
"Xin Fai, you mustn't go to the Empire of people. There their science is much higher above ours, many cheating people live there. You won't know the real Qing Empire, it's like a hell land. You and the alliance's lives are in danger if they find out you're from the Shang Empire."

Lan An mediated the two in order not to have a feud for longer, she held onto Yong Tao's chest making the man gradually clear his mind.

"I told you to kill the enemies, not to risk your life for those two useless swords! What do you need? Strength? We can provide resources for you."
"Nine months, or even faster than that."
Both Lan An and Yong Tao were both speechless, Xin Fai turned his body towards the two people with facial expressions that were hard to decipher.
"The devil in my body will rise again, without the two swords maybe this body will be seized by the demon king and there is no need to worry far about the enemy, what you should be paying more attention to is the enemy before your eyes."
The situation became more and more severe after Xin Fai said that, Yong Tao still stared at him sharply until he finally exhaled heavily. Feeling like he would not win against Xin Fai in terms of arguing, the man showed a face of caving in.
