The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 130 - Lan An vs Yuwen

"Preparation is almost complete, just waiting for our leader's orders to move." His friend whispered softly.

The young man in the black hood drew an extremely wide smile, the jagged sword in his hand ready to take its toll. "Today will be the greatest feast of the Blood Demon Humans as well as those, the serial killers."

The young man turned his face in the other direction, where the notorious black-flow group in the massacre was preparing in their respective positions.

With this each of the 4 participants who escaped were Xin Fai, Yu Yuwen, Xiu Juan and Lan An. Two of them, Yu Yuwen and Xiu Juan, are participants who have been expected to enter this round by everyone but who would have thought the remaining two were truly unexpected.

Lan An and Xin Fai were the ones who had just shone in the martial world making their names a warm conversation in the seats of noble families as well as important people like Yong Tao.

The thirty-minute pause was filled with several sword dances and other entertainment, the offerings from the White Fog Valley in organizing the Young Swordsman Tournament were enormous, and the, indeed funds are not a problem for them but all of their things are calculated very maturely. Starting from the comfort of the audience seats, the attributes and sword dances displayed could really be enjoyed by the audience.

Thirty minutes walk for a while, did not feel the game time will start soon. The four Imperial Pillar candidates were allowed to go up on stage respectfully by Yong Tao. Each of them will be given a nickname that will forever be their big name in the martial world.

Starting from Lan An, now as his appreciation for successfully entering the round of 4 he got the nickname White Sword. This title was given directly by Yong Tao after thinking of a suitable name for him, while Xiu Juan got the title of Moon Goddess considering the beauty and beauty of her face.

Yu Yuwen was nicknamed the Fog Tiger, he received that nickname with great respect. Afterwards Yong Tao turned to look towards Xin Fai who was waiting for his turn.

One second, two seconds later three seconds were missed. Xin Fai felt Yong Tao staring at him for so long.

"And the right nickname for you... Demon Sword. This terrible power will lead you to the top of the martial world someday. I hope so."

Xin Fai was silent for a long time, she pondered over the name of this title she had just held. The name Demon Sword itself sounded even more sinister than the Mist Tiger or White Sword, yet he chose not to mind it.

After that the game resumed in order to win each other. Yang Guifei called Yuwen and Lan An to take the stage, he announced the first fight was about to begin.

The cheers and applause of the audience burned the spirit of these two finalists, they put their respective positions while looking at the opponent. In the previous fight at least Lan An slightly gained an idea of Yu Yuwen's skill in playing the sword.

Indeed, since childhood Yu Yuwen has been trained to play the sword, the weapon is always faithful to be in the grasp of his hand every time. By experiencing a lot of fighting and very heavy training now he has found the nickname Mist Tiger.

Lan An drew the sword while taking a slow breath, she did not want to rush this time considering that her opponent was one of the strongest young swordsmen in the Shang Empire, her strength should not be underestimated at all. Just by using a sword alone, he could slash through trees in a single move.

In order to keep his promise to his mother, Lan An entered this tournament and intended to become the number one person in the Shang Empire, with this maybe his father will find out that he is still alive and regret his actions.

Although it was simple, but this goal of his life had always been an encouragement for Lan An to continue forward.

Yu Yuwen relied on his sword at full speed, balanced with the science of lightening his body he blazed the weapon very quickly.

Yu Yuwen's sword tip gleamed as he was about to hit Lan An, but his opponent had already dodged until only a gust of wind could hit his body. There was no pause for a second without a swing of the sword, even the spectators themselves had trouble following their swift movements.

"Young Swordsman of this generation is great, this is an advance for the white-neutral flow in our Empire."

"With this it is not difficult for them to destroy the black conspirators out there, considering the recent increase in massacres and assassinations in our Empire."

Their movements came to a halt as the two swords fought against each other, Lan An tilted the sword until it deflected the direction of Yu Yuwen's weapon and then attacked with full force. Yu Yuwen who was not ready to accept it inevitably had to prepare for the impact.

Yu Yuwen who was still in an unbalanced condition became an easy target for Lan An, he took out the Crescent Moon Kick style with a powerful deep flow of power.

As a result Yu Yuwen was pushed back to the back until he finally bounced, Lan An's attack power was indeed very deadly if he seriously did it. That thing Yu Yuwen had just known after feeling it for himself.

'Shit! It was only fitting that the disciple from the White Mist Valley had previously been rendered non-rigged by this young man!' inner Yu Yuwen could only cuss in annoyance.

This extremely fierce battle was even difficult to follow, every second was precious because just one second of it could turn around. The difference in strength between the two was extremely thin, Lan An had never reduced his concentration whereas Yu Yuwen had been seriously fighting him from the start.

In the audience seats Li Yong was still faithfully waiting for one participant from the Lotus Temple to perform, having previously seen Shen Xuemei lose to Li Yong completely resting his hopes on Xin Fai. The nervousness of attacking him as the fight was about to end, it could now be seen Lan An had managed to master the fight when Yu Yuwen again made a gap without him noticing.

Not wasting any chance Lan An pulled his sword up high, within a split second his sword had lodged on Yu Yuwen's shoulder making the young man scream.

Yang Guifei stopped the fight, yet Yu Yuwen stubbornly wanted to continue rising from the fall. The tear on his shoulder drained blood profusely, he did not care at all and forced himself to fight.

Lan An stared flatly. "I admit your efforts, but at least look at your body's condition now."

Yu Yuwen was silent for a while when he recalled that he had said that line to Shen Xuemei, it seemed that Lan An had indeed deliberately avenged Shen Xuemei's defeat to him.

"You-you?! It's noisy!"

"Pooring others, when you are being patronized, you rebel. Indeed, human nature is mostly so."

Yu Yuwen was about to come forward to attack because he could not accept those words, but he fell down right then and there. Yang Guifei immediately caught his body and instantly stopped the match. He announced Lan An as the winner.

Of course many of the spectators were shocked because their estimation of Yu Yuwen who was going to be the next Imperial Pillar was wrong, this was really far from their estimation.

Debate also occurred in the guests' seats, however they had no reason to blame anyone for the fight running fair and indeed Lan An was superior to Yu Yuwen, though, he was not only good at playing the sword but clever at organizing attacking strategies.

Had Yu Yuwen been a little more clever in fighting the situation might not have been this way. The young man could only cuss in disappointment, he clucked in annoyance and his gaze never met again with Lan An.

This was of course a shock to those from the big sects, Lan An who was from a middle sect alone could win this match then the same might be possible for Xin Fai to do. While the only disciple of the great sect was only Xiu Juan, this reality became a harsh slap for the representatives of the great sects.
