The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 44 - Trapped in a Mysterious Forest

In the middle of Xin Fai's trip was made astonished by Lang, the wolf insisted on wearing a bag draped on his back when Xin Fai asked to remove the bag when in the village. Seeing that response the village chief's wife said there was no need to force Lang if he did like the bag.

Lang was furious when he was put on a bag and called himself a donkey. That made Xin Fai heartless, but now Lang was so proud to wear the bag.

Perhaps the nickname wandering wolf made him very happy with his current appearance. The luggage contained in the bag is also not too important such as pepper, pepper, onions and some other kitchen ingredients. Feeling that it had already brought him Xin Fai planned to use the ingredients if they could hunt animals.

Every now and then Lang stopped when he saw the river flow, they would rest for a while while filling the stomach while quenching thirst. Although they still have enough food but as long as they can hunt then there is no harm in saving food supplies.

The journey continues without finding any more difficulty, this time they enter a forest that looks creepy. The trees in that place are very haunted because the trunk of the tree looks withered, the leaves fall out. Upon entering the forest, Xin Fai was made to be shocked half-dead by the sound of the flapping of wings and the sound of crows on it.

"Coak! A koak! A yaw!"

Xin Fai was about to scream because shortly after that a snake jumped from a tree branch up on her thigh.

"What the fuck is this forest?!"

Lang also felt the same air, although the sky was still bright but the atmosphere was very gripping. Killer Eve feels everywhere without them knowing whose direction it is from.

When looking around Xin Fai felt this forest like a cemetery, the atmosphere was so gripping that it made her hair creeps.

The sound of crows is getting heard, they are flying above with a storm as if finding a new human carcass. Xin Fai smelled a foul smell and tried to look for him.

"Lang, do you know what this place is?"

"Grrrhmm. This place is so weird, I've never been here." Lang squinted his eyes out, he rolled his eyes in all directions in search of the source of the murderous air that was so concentrated.

As Xin Fai advanced deeper and deeper, Lang could not prevent it because staying in the place was also very dangerous. Whereas if they retreat there is no other way but to have to pass through this place.

The more it entered the deepest area of the forest the more unpleasant the stench was released, Xin Fai almost vomited with watery eyes restraining the smell. Smells more stinging than the slaughter village he once passed through.

Not far from where he stood, Xin Fai finally found the source of the smell. The mountains of human corpses were seen at one point and surrounded by thousands of rats.

"Damn! Let's run, Lang!" Xin Fai climbed up the wolf, they intended to get out of this forest. But the strange thing happened again, instead they just circled around and returned trapped to the same place. A human carcass is being torn apart by thousands of rats.

Xin Fai had thought of counterattacking the rats with Lang but the idea was like a suicide when he saw thousands of them passing through a corpse. And in a short time the corpse was only the skeleton of the bone.

Xin Fai had no other choice but to suggest that the place they had been through was marked with Lang's claw. But they run in a labyrinth. They found no way out of the forest.

Lang's breathing began to fall apart, his running began to slow down while the sea of rats continued to chase after them.

Running fast for a few hours certainly affects Lang's stamina, the wolf is sometimes mermaid but thought to keep running when he saw the sea of rats getting closer.

Xin Fai thought hard in a state of panic, if the rat managed to catch them a very bad thing would happen. In a minute they will instantly become bones eaten by the starving rat.

Misadventures like never getting tired of following them, made Xin Fai curse out loud inwardly. He also felt sorry for Lang, if relying on his own running speed of course Xin Fai would be overtaken quickly.

As for fighting thousands of rats is not easy, while being focused on finding a way out Lang increasingly lost control.

Lang's body dug up and smashed into the tree beside him, Xin Fai bouncing a few meters away causing some abrasions in his hand.

"Damn!"

Xin Fai widened her eyes as she watched the mountain of rats draw closer, she felt death approaching as she looked at Lang who was already unconscious.

"What am I supposed to do?!"

The sound of rat squeaks echoed more and more, at the same time the rat king appeared with the same size as Lang. The rat's eyes were red with slovenly black fur, his running was indeed much slower than the others yet Xin Fai was sure his strength was at least on par with Lang's.

Xin Fai held her breath. He could not think anymore, the rat king demon let out a huge sound and instantly the rats from all over headed towards him.

"Why is today so unlucky?!!"
