Ch. 52 - The Arrogant Merchant
During the trip Lian Kaili continued to whine making Xin Fai overwhelmed by the night. Five days after that they arrived at a city bustling with residents, Xin Fai noticed the surroundings were filled with noble families.
He asked one of the residents and the resident said that the city was in the presence of many nobles for a reason. But not many people know the cause, causing strange rumors spread along the way.
The horse-drawn carriage passed by just like that in front of Xin Fai, he pulled over following the others to give space to the passing cavalry. Whispers occurred around it, that afternoon the state of the city was very crowded and rowdy because how many times the horse carriage like this passed.
Xin Fai did not bother with the state of this foreign city, he asked people and they said that he was in Houbi city. The city with a high level of welfare, no wonder why when he wanted to book a room the price offered was very high.
The sky was still scorching with the residents who continued to flock throughout the city, after Xin Fai put Lian Kaili to sleep he went to buy milk and baby equipment.
Many neatly lined items are offered by a merchant, ranging from stones that are considered to improve the ability, fans of stealth leather and other expensive trinkets.
Xin Fai scrutinized the items and held onto them, but the merchant brusquely brushed his hand away.
"Go you!"
"Well?!" Xin Fai's face was shocked by her making, she was so offended to be treated so. However Xin Fai was the supposed buyer the merchant gave her face.
"A boy like you would want to steal my merchandise, right?! If you don't have money, you better go back to your house there!" The man's thunderous voice was able to attract all the attention there.
People stared at Xin Fai miris, making the child annoyed. He did not carry anything but gold coins in his pocket, sword and bag he left at the inn because of the weight of carrying the item everywhere especially with his small body.
Xin Fai's clothes were simple. So of course people will consider him a thief boy considering the items the merchant bought were about dozens of gold pieces.
"I didn't come here to steal as long as you know," angered Xin Fai swooped his eyebrows. He turned his gaze around and was still being watched by people curiously.
"If it's not stealing, you'll be be begging, never mind! I'm sick of feeling sorry for a bad boy like you! Get the hell out of my place immediately!"
The man dragged Xin Fai's body roughly, until it made him almost fall. Xin Fai protested loudly.
"I told you I'm not a thief, do your ears stay at home?!"
"How dare your mouth, boy!"

The slap landed smoothly on Xin Fai's cheek, gradually her white cheeks flushed red from the slap. Xin Fai held her cheeks with a cruel look.
"Only with such a treasure are you arrogant?!"
Xin Fai rode apitam, her unstable soul eagerly rummaging through the merchandise in front of her. He has memorized, people with a lot of money like this merchant often do arbitrarily and consider the poor as garbage.
"Other thing you're waiting for, huh?! Oh, I know." The man showed off the contents of the bag containing hundreds of gold pieces. He enjoyed the astonished gazes of the surrounding people because they thought that number was overwhelming.
The man threw two gold pieces right in the face of Xin Fai.
"You must be waiting for me to give you a gold coin, right? I already know this tactic of yours, don't put on such an angry face. A lowly person like you only thinks about money for sure, hahahaha!"
Hearing the lowly word further burned Xin Fai's emotions, the man's words were like oil ready to burn fire. The few rich merchants beside the man also laughed making Xin Fai feel humiliated.
But their laughter paused for a moment as they felt the wind gust, the wind coming from before them.
As he raised his face to see Xin Fai more clearly the merchant was made frightened, the people who had previously stood beside Xin Fai took a few steps back trying to dodge because the boy seemed to want to run amok.
The glowing golden blade moving at high speed throughout Xin Fai's body stirred up a strong wind, a hint of red aura from the mouse's stealth gem came out along with the blade of light.
Everyone gulped in fear, the merchant who insulted Xin Fai earlier flooded with cold sweat. His eyes bulged, his body limp as if boneless again.
The red aura that came out from Xin Fai's body became a deadly murderous air, anyone who was nearby would instantly be frightened for no reason. Even a little child to the point of crying when feeling that aura.
"Who did you say was that lowly?"
Xin Fai voiced out softly but threatened, he should at least teach this merchant a lesson so as not to arbitrarily to the poor.
"Ma-ma-forgive me Master Swordsman! I've misjudged you!" The merchant knelt down and begged for forgiveness. He did not care anymore the person before him was a boy or not, his life was immediately threatened when he felt that red aura.
"Take your word again." Xin Fai looked down coldly, under which the merchant kept apologizing to her.
"I'm pulling my words! I'm sorry, you can slap me right now but please don't take my life," the man asked as if he was about to cry.
Actually Xin Fai did not care much about the slap of the man, but a lowly word came to be that made him very angry. Those words reminded him of a noble who used to insult his father in front of everyone.
Xin Fai took out ten pieces of gold with ease. An amount that would certainly make anyone would definitely shake their head in amazement.
"With that money you should be able to keep your mouth open so as not to arbitrarily with the poor. If one day I see you're still like this, maybe I'll kill your wife and kids right away."
The threat and the dozens of gold pieces made the merchant afraid. When it was about to reject the dozens of gold pieces it turned out that Xin Fai had already left and disappeared among the crowd.
The merchant was sitting limp on the ground, he still could not believe it. Losing his words, not even his arrogance was left in his face.
