The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 183 - May Lian

Slowly dozens of possibilities flashed fiercely on his head, Yong Tao who was racing the horse beside him could not stay silent at the strangeness.

"What's bothering you?"

"No, forget it."

Let it be easy but Xin Fai kept thinking badly of this, he was sure Xin Xia could not possibly want to kill the crowd even if she had great strength.

If it is true that his sister has been possessed by demonic power, maybe he will not have time to save. Hoping for enough time until they could be reunited, Xin Fai spurred on his horse as he watched in the distance as rays from the small house where Xu Ming and his adopted son lived.

Xin Fai was a little relieved when she looked at the man outside the house looking at the black cloudy night sky, he opened the umbrella about to exit the house but he immediately undoed his intention when he saw in front of it a young man and some swordsmen behind him following.

"That's Xin Fai? Is he back?" The man muttered softly, a gentle smile rising from his lips.

Xin Fai stood right in front of him, Xu Ming looked at the young man twinkling. "Did you get it?"

"That's how." Actually he wanted to say that he got more treasures with Yong Tao, but it felt that it was not necessary.

Xu Ming brought them in, the horses tied up in the shade while some of the girls inside the house cooked a warm meal. Xu Ming offered wine to celebrate his arrival. Little wonder also did he see Xin Fai coming along with the troops, when he saw the familiar figure in his eyes, Xu Ming only realized that among the troops there was one of the greatest heroes in the Shang Empire.

"Okay, how is this our arrival of the number one hero. I'm sorry Mr. Swordsman, this house is too simple to welcome your arrival..." Xu Ming felt a little guilty, he lowered his head deeply.

"There's no need to hesitate, I'm just delivering this kid to you. I think he has one thing to do."

Yong Tao and his troops sat down while drinking wine, while Xin Fai and Xu Ming turned to a quieter place. For a moment there was not a single word that came out of the young man's mouth until Xu Ming finally spoke up.

"Is there anything you should talk to me about?"

"Yes, so it's like this." Xin Fai scratched his non-itchy head, he was not sure this question could be answered by Xu Ming.

"I'll give you a thousand gold pieces if you can give me the answer to this" he said slowly. Xu Ming turned more serious hearing that, the amount Xin Fai offered was not the least bit enough to support himself and the children here for 3 years.

"Are you able to give me information about a little boy named Xin Xia? He was now in the Blood Demon group."

Two seconds did not get an answer the atmosphere was slowly silent, the roar of wind that hit the window suddenly silent. Moments after trying to remember, Xu Ming finally broke the silence. "I'm sorry, for that I don't know. I think that one information is very closed and it's hard to get... Except..."

Xin Fai brought her face closer in curiosity. "Except?"

Xu Ming's eyes turned withered, he took a heavy breath as he could not answer this question. The chance of getting a thousand gold pieces floated already.

"Only the higher-ups know that information, you can get it from them. But I guess even their higher-ups don't want to tell you."

As if immersed in his own thoughts Xin Fai was silent for quite a while, his gaze blankly gazed at the wooden floor. Xu Ming let her think while sipping hot tea on the table.

"Well! I know!"

Xu Ming was startled to cough at the sudden reaction.

'Oh, I think this child is happy to surprise people.' Xu Ming's inner self.

"I just need to get paid enough for that information, right?"

"But I don't know what I can give," he said stopping the flow of conversation for a moment, Xu Ming came up with a solution.

"Why not use all the treasure you got? Black people kill for satisfaction and treasure, I think that's enough to pay."

That glimmer of hope made him very enthusiastic, he shook Xu Ming's hand strongly. "Thank you for helping me this far, uncle."

Xin Fai's hand bulldozed through the air letting out a pile of gold that if counted over a thousand, Xu Ming held his breath reflexively looking at the treasure, on the other hand he also wanted it.

"Duh, this is too much... I can't take it."

"I can bring out more if you refuse this, uncle."

Xu Ming raised his face to see the mischievous smile of this young man, Xin Fai's character was especially memorable in his head. The man patted her shoulders gently. "I'm sure you'll be the greatest figure in our Empire someday, until then don't ever change your attitude."

"Hm? I don't understand."

"I can see the good in your eyes, the path of being a warrior is still far ahead. One day, whatever happens, don't ever be a bloodthirsty killer like the black swordsmen."

Despite not fully understanding the words Xin Fai chose to nod in understanding, he got up from his seat and said he had to leave immediately to continue the journey.

When he turned his body Xin Fai could catch a glimpse of the shadow of the girl behind the door, a voice Xu Ming heard behind him.

"May'er, there's no need to be afraid. You're gonna want to talk to him, right?"

Before long the figure of a beautiful girl appeared in front there, she looked timid and still lowered her head. His outstretched hand gave a necklace in the shape of a shell, he remembered the object and took it slowly.

"This is the necklace my mother gave me, but you still have it?"

The girl nodded. "I thought I was wrong, it turns out that this is you." He said a little amazed, the young man's body became taller and also his mature face looked more handsome than the young men he had met.

Xin Fai wore the necklace, she said again. "So I've kept my promise, haven't I?"

Xu Ming looked at Mei Lian's face from earlier, the girl's gaze could not be separated from Xin Fai's face since earlier. She believes one of her adopted children is in love with the young man, feeling no need to interfere with her intention of leaving.

"That day I promised to see you again, and you gave me this necklace. So the promise of that day was kept."

Mei Lian gave a small nod, she was intending to speak but her lips stopped moving as Xin Fai was sidetracked at something else. "Uncle, don't go yet." Hold the young man to Xu Ming.

"You want me to watch you two meet?"

Mei Lian became a little misbehaved, whereas Xin Fai only smiled wryly.

"I want to go to the front room as well to talk to Senior Yong," he said. He turned his body facing Mei Lian. "Thank you for keeping this necklace for me."

Not a single word came out of her mouth until Xin Fai actually left, Mei Lian regretted it for a while when there was no one else in the room.

"Are we still able to meet after this?" ask him to yourself.
