The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 51 - Wolves of the Wanderer

The sky grew even more cloudy when they arrived home, the wind blowing fiercely made Lian Kaili who was in Qiong Lin's sling whine loudly. She hugged the baby tightly trying to calm him down.

Qiong Lin brought some of her husband's belongings home as a memento. While the two children again said they wanted to cook a meal considering their mother must be very sad after meeting Qiao Guan's corpse, she just smiled as usual and agreed.

In the living room now there was only Qiong Lin and Xin Fai left, they were sitting opposite each other. Xin Fai opened her mouth about to speak.

"May I ask you something?"

Qiong Lin's eyeballs gradually on him, the woman nodded slowly.

"Is your husband a Blood Devil Man?"

Qiong Lin had already guessed that question that would come out of Xin Fai's mouth, she confirmed the position while telling the truth about her husband so that Xin Fai would not misunderstand.

"My husband is a white swordsman, he is so respected by society. He was eager to destroy all the evil that was happening on this earth, until one day..." Qiong Lin's face slowly but surely turned sad, his shady gaze filled with sorrow.

"There was an auction in a town, and my husband was about to sell the valuables he found so we could all eat, but something bad happened after that."

Xin Fai guessed this swordsman's story was the same as Zhang Bingjie's, at a glance he clenched his hands tightly.

"When I returned home, my husband had a red scorpion tattoo on his chest, and it was no longer the same... He killed everyone who harassed him even his own friends. My son, Qiao Feng was almost killed by him back then."

Qiong Lin continued her story, after her husband changed a lot of bad things happened. People started to hate him, no one cared about them anymore. Even the village chief chased them away, and Qiong Lin decided to look for a new home. This place is his choice because it is rarely inhabited.

Her husband had been wandering around for years without returning, and one of Qiong Lin's friends said that her husband had died in the Cursed Forest. Despite not believing the news yet Qiao Guan's absence for many years had already answered all of them. Her husband has died.

Xin Fai grumbled his teeth, his jaw hardened withstanding the outpouring of emotions. Because the swordsman named Qiao Guan was once a white swordsman who was so respected by the community and all changed after the Blood Man Devil came. He couldn't let the group out for too long, the more sadness people like Qiong Lin experienced because of them.

"I promise to avenge the death of swordsman Qiao Guan for you." Xin Fai's eyes lit up, grudge burning his heart again. He did not care how long it would take him to kill them all while his feet could still walk Xin Fai swore to heaven and earth would avenge the deeds of the Blood Demon Man.

After saying he had to hurry to go to Zhu City, Xin Fai intended to leave the house. He gave out dozens of gold pieces even though Qiong Lin tried to resist them.

Qiao He thrust out a food box while turning his face, his hands trembling.

"It's an apology from me for being rude to you yesterday." A moment after saying that Qiao He's cheeks met red.

"Be careful during your journey, the three of us will always wish you all the best." Qiong Lin said in front of the door with Qiao Feng.

His son hesitated to say something but he forced himself.

"Xin Fai's... If there's time you can stay here again." Of course Qiao Feng said it bashfully just like his sister, he hurriedly walked into the house after realizing his cheeks were getting hot. Qiong Lin laughed as he shut his mouth seeing his two girls so nervous in front of Xin Fai.

Xin Fai was still in big question.

"Are my faces so horrible that they're so scared?" He put on a worried look. A hint of awkward smile was imprinted on his face after staring at Qiong Lin once again.

Somewhat far away from the house Qiong Lin new Lang came out of his body. The wolf came straight towards Xin Fai who was watching his face in the reflection of the water. While the baby he carried was placed under a shady tree and coated with a warm cloth so as not to get cold.

Lang stared at his reflection with all his satisfaction.

"Now the wandering wolf suits me very well."

Lang's sudden words made Xin Fai choke on his own saliva, he coughed violently making his eyes water. Lang looked at him not like to feel offended.

"Is your cough to make fun of me?"

"No, uhuk! Uhuk!" Xin Fai shook her head trying not to laugh, yet what kind of laughter broke after that. He still did not expect a savage beast like Lang to have such a great narcissistic side. That one excess of Lang made Xin Fai's stomach dance around wanting to laugh at him.

"I can't stop laughing! That's funny, you weird wolf! Huhah!" Xin Fai laughed holding onto her cramped stomach. Even his eyes let out water from laughing.

"You're really mocking me? What's wrong with my nickname?!"

"There's nothing wrong, but the funny thing is you hahahah!" Lang stared at the reflection of the water in confusion. Not finding the wolf's answer began to be irritated.

His hind legs scavenging the ground were about to lash at Xin Fai who was busy laughing.

Xin Fai's buttocks were dragged from behind making the child go into the river. Xin Fai cursed with a mouth filled with water.

This time Lang who could laugh was satisfied.
