By the next morning it turned out Marcos had already woken up, he did not expect on this early day Xin Fai had woken up. He was peering behind the window, watching the blizzard early this morning. The weather can not be said to be good to go hunting plus strong winds that increasingly make the air cold.
"You're awake, yeah. Then wash your face quickly we should go hunt."
After preparing all the items that would have been needed they left the house, breaking through a very thick blizzard. It was fortunate that this time Xin Fai had been wearing thick clothes, at least she did not feel too cold.
"What are we going to hunt?"
When Marcos cut down the trees in front of him, the young man finally made a sound, he turned around and found no animal like a deer that could be hunted. Only a few wolves were seen from a distance.
Marcos pointed to the wolf pack. "We're going to hunt them."
Xin Fai was astonished to see it, they ate wolves to survive.
"So the meat I ate last night..."
"Wolf meat."
He almost coughed at it, imagining brother Lang eating last night already making his stomach go round and round. Had he known it was wolf meat it was better he had eaten the dried bread from his space ring storage.
Xin Fai shook his head slowly, he walked up to the wolf pack to hunt. As he was about to pull out his sword, Marcos restrained his arm.
"Don't approach them, too dangerous! We have to use clever means to hunt them all down." Marcos said, "You must have come to the North Pole for the first time, right? Then will I teach you how to survive in this place?"
Xin Fai listened to Marcos' speech afterwards without much protest.
Marcos ransacked a knife with the blood of his hunted bear yesterday, and stuck it on the ground to some fruit. After doing so he asked Xin Fai to retreat far away and hide in a safe place, his eyes starting to be wary as the 2 wolves approached the bloody blade.
The two wolves who came to bite the sharp knife because of hunger, they continued to do so until they ran out of blood. Marcos explained proudly the hunting.
"These extremely cold temperatures made the wolves feel no pain when they ate the knife, and behold they were running out of blood. When they're powerless we have to take them before another beast comes."
"Is there no other way to kill them?"
"It's too dangerous if you want to kill directly, they will cover you like flies. Your bones won't be left if they eat them."
A moment after it was true that the two wolves were killed, they were drooping on the blood-red snow. Marcos ran towards the two wolves were excited, at least two of these wolves can survive during extreme snowstorms later.
When Marcos was busy with the two wolf bodies Xin Fai was attracted to a big bear, he looked for a long time at the ferocious beast. Marcos noticed it and immediately pulled the young man's arm tight.
"Run! We have to run!"
"Wait a minute, let me finish."
"Recover what? Your life will be finished! Come onl... You don't know how dangerous that bear is, he's killed five of our friends!"
Marcos' eyes were wide open when a weapon suddenly appeared in the young man's palm, he did not understand where it came from or indeed his eyes were wrong to see. In three movements that did not take a second the polar bear's body released blood very much, he screamed thrashing realizing all over his body was injured and intended to escape.
But one final slash had already lodged in his neck, dead polar bears bleeding heavily.
Marcos began to guess in his heart, indeed he had heard the silat sciences as he saw now but as an ordinary man he could only be silent not much comment, except one thing. Marcos.
"If you knew you could kill them so easily why still let me play with those knives?"
"I just don't want to disturb your pleasure."
Marcos almost wanted to curse, soon waiting for the man to drag the body of the big bear with a rope he had prepared from home.
Xin Fai held him back. "No need to pull it."
The polar bear and the two wolf corpses disappeared in the blink of an eye, "Let me save them. When I get home, I'll give it back to you."
Marcos gawked in wonder, unable to say anything more, he began to believe in magic in this world. It was really unexpected that there was a magician like Xin Fai, even now he believed fairies really existed. A little confused as well as himself when distinguishing the Xin Fai elf or the witch, the man started to get dizzy.
"We're hunting more, maybe around here there are edible plants?"
Marcos nodded in agreement, he pointed to places that would have been overgrown with plants. In the heavy snowfall that has continued to fall since then they managed to gather a lot of food supplies, one by one the game was collected.
They returned five hours later, entering the house to warm themselves.
Marcos is quite happy to see the results of their hunt both and intend to share it with residents who also live in this place. At least this year they had preparations to face a ferocious winter.
Xin Fai sat quietly in her place, when she heard that someone was sitting next to her she opened her eyes and found that Palma was already sitting next to her with food.
"Thank you for the hunt, you don't mind us sharing it with the others, do you?"
"Why should I be angry? That meat is yours, I have no right to be angry."
Palma flashed a gentle smile, looking very charming. "I suggest for the next week you don't go outside first, the weather outside will be unusually cold. Our clothes won't be able to withstand the cold air that can freeze the heart."
"Can you freeze the heart?"
Xin Fai twisted her brain, she began to think that this matter had something to do with the Ice Dragon she was after. The young man confirmed the sitting position, looking more serious than before. "Can you tell me about the unusual weather? Or whatever information you have, tell me everything."
Palma recalled for a while, after a few seconds the woman looked outside the window. Seeing the blizzard that is raging, even for just a way out their legs will surely sink.
