Ch. 66 - The Resurrection of the Demon Monsters
During the journey, Li Yong–the priest of the Lotus Temple was overwhelmed by Xin Fai who continued to help people during the journey.
Until they arrive in a village that is experiencing drought Xin Fai then intervened to help make the flow of water from the lake to flow in the rice fields of farmers. This made Xin Fai even more famous among the poor, thanks to which also their journey became longer.
Li Yong who was just preparing to continue the journey could only snort after seeing Xin Fai hand out a number of gold coins to an elderly man who lived a long time ago.
"With this grandma don't have to worry anymore what to eat tomorrow, a little gold coin from me might be able to help you."
"Thank you, you're a really good kid. I promise I won't forget your kindness."
Lang snorted violently several times because of impatience, they had been held in this village for two days because Xin Fai insisted on helping.
Li Yong himself was correcting his words a few days ago when he first met them. Xin Fai was indeed not a dangerous person, even she was too kind to help others while herself was also in a more dire situation.
"Hey boy, we better move fast. Look at your eyes on the right, they're going to be red."
Xin Fai felt her eyes and did not feel any strange, she sighed and said goodbye to her grandmother.
Finally Li Yong could be a little relieved because the journey resumed, considering that their journey was always delayed because Xin Fai could not help himself to help others, while he himself actually had to be helped as well.
Li Yong decided to take out a piece of black cloth and cover Xin Fai's eyes, then he lifted the child up like a sack of rice.
"Hey what's going on? Why are you hauling me like this?"
Li Yong. "Your eyes are already completely red now, otherwise being covered will cause new problems."
"Why should I carry everything?" Xin Fai wanted to rebel again, Li Yong's running speed was very fast and seemed to be in a hurry.
"Indeed with that blindfold you can see the road?"
After convincing the boy a few times Xin Fai finally complied, he could only resignedly be treated as such.
Actually, Li Yong's purpose in closing Xin Fai's eyes was so that he did not know anything that happened during the trip. Given these days the Blood Demon Man making movements everywhere was definitely a lot of trouble posed like in the small village they had gone through before.
To reach the Lotus Temple sect it took about ten days of travel while Xin Fai started to cause strange symptoms such as talking to himself or not being able to sleep because he kept on imagining demonic monsters while closing his eyes. He also lost consciousness for hours.
Li Yong realized the body of Demon Man Xin Fai had entered the third stage which was soul adjustment. The priest's face now more often looks wrinkled, never again a friendly smile is seen on his lips.
Lang himself frowned when he realized the demon lion demon gem he had stored had disappeared, and Xin Fai simply did not claim to have taken the jewel.
Though clearly Lang could feel the power of the demon lion demon gem was now on Xin Fai.
The next night another serious thing started to happen, Xin Fai started to lose consciousness and then there was the laughter of the demon monster from his mouth, even though it was only a few seconds it made Li Yong even faster his footsteps to get to the temple immediately.
The next day while running fast suddenly Xin Fai's body released a deadly concentrated aura making Li Yong immediately release the child from his sling.
"Xin Fai?" Li Yong wanted to make sure that the child still had his consciousness, Xin Fai's face gradually changed. The cheerful face that usually radiated from him was completely invisible.
Lang immediately put on an alert attitude as the aura Xin Fai was releasing was not his own. In a forest with many bamboo trees growing, Xin Fai suddenly laughed out loud.
"Do you think I'm this pathetic boy?" Xin Fai's voice was heavy and impressed like the voice of a monster.
"You-you?! There's no way you're waking up this fast!" Li Yong looked frightened, it should be in a few more hours that they could reach the Lotus Temple.
"Indeed you think after hearing you want to take this kid to that shitty place, I'll just shut up?"
Lang growled behind, however strong he was he remained frightened by the demon monster that had now possessed Xin Fai. Meanwhile Li Yong stood up with trembling hands without daring to answer.
"And so, you think I'll weaken with just that pathetic seal of yours?" Sounding mocking laughs, Li Yong took a few steps back as a killing aura attacked him sharply. He knew that the monster was very upset with him because Li Yong had recently sealed the demon so as not to progress any further.
Xin Fai's body floated in the air making the two startled, at the same time a stream of blood-red energy moved wildly around him. The wind instantly blew and lightning echoed throughout.
According to Li Yong himself to take over Xin Fai's body required at least ten percent of Xin Fai's consciousness. And in order to get it, the devil must get stronger.
"Wind Daan Village!"
Xin Fai who had been possessed shook hands just like that and instantly a tremendous force came out and hundreds of wind blades toppled the bamboo trees that were behind them.
Li Yong jumped back with Lang, they jumped again as Xin Fai unleashed another, more deadly attack.
Without using a sword or weapon whatever the situation had been destroyed by the monster, on the palm of the monster appeared a fire vortex formed from the change of fire energy.
Li Yong realized the fire was no ordinary fire, he shouted at Lang. "Don't let you get hit by the Devil God Fire!"
The bulldozing monster hands released black bursts of flames that had an extremely high level of heat. Within a hundred meter radius the heat felt like it was burning skin.
Lang and Li Yong reduced the impact of the fire using deep power, although not too impactful as before still the heat did not disappear at all.
The fire of the Demon God itself did not spread at all, when it hit the target the fire would never be extinguished forever unless extinguished using knowledge that was at the level of the fire.
In a matter of seconds the bamboo tree that was hit by the fire was not just burning, even the ashes were completely unscathed. The huge stone that was around them was devoured in just a matter of seconds before it finally disappeared.
Li Yong took out his staff without thinking of having to sustain another life. "There is no choice but to face it!"
While sending a signal to his sect by relying on a bird, Li Yong came forward to play his staff.
"You're just a stupid human being, stop making me laugh." The monster put on a dislike face, he again released a wind blade that was so sharp even when Li Yong tried to brush it off, it turned out that the blade emitted exactly the same sound as fending off the sword.
Li Yong was startled for a few seconds before the wind blades finally targeted his body in an overwhelming amount.
Despite trying to fend him off some wind blades managed to tear off his skin, Li Yong tried to fight against the current from the wind blades about to approach Xin Fai's body which was now possessed by demons.
"Xin Fai! I know you're inside! You must have heard me!"
Li Yong no matter how many more wind blades managed to pierce through his skin, his blue robe was now drenched in blood.
While Lang pounced forward from behind, the golden circle he released at high speed towards the monster.
But unexpected things happened, Li Yong's body that was originally in front of him now moved behind him.
Lang's golden circle moved quickly and hit Li Yong hard.
Li Yong spat out fresh blood, he did not understand why his body had moved.
"Dimension Room Science?" Lang growled, he released more golden circles.
"His strength is on par with that of a god. How can we beat him?" anxious that Li Yong was now holding his chest in pain, some of the injuries he healed were using deep energy. In less than a minute, he was seriously injured. Though Li Yong had already entered the grand swordsman level during this year.
Lang sharpened his vision. "We have to take out two demon gems from his body." The wolf continued.
"The two demon gems came from the mouse demon and the lion demon that were most likely the incarnations of the devil."
"Why didn't you say it from yesterday?" Li Yong started to feel annoyed, the two demon gems should not be worn by humans. Not only did it seize the human side of its users but it also strengthened the Heart Devil that was within the human body.
"Xin Fai needs strength to deal with all life and death battles, after all he must obtain all 33 stealth gems to perfect his Human Demon body."
Li Yong did not answer anymore because he thought the important thing now was to restore Xin Fai's consciousness, life or death he should be able to do it.
The devil does not yet have a complete soul, so the real power has not come out. Perhaps his goal was to forcibly seize Xin Fai's consciousness so that he would not be sealed away by the Priestess of the Lotus Temple. At least that was what the priest could think.
