The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 229 - Destiny

Many question marks appeared on the heads of the members of the Sacred Sword Alliance, they exchanged glances for a moment when they saw Xin Fai standing not far away from them, staring at the mysterious spirit figure that made them scream a few seconds ago.

"The devil is back..."

That was all that could be heard from the spirit, its form that came from smoke began to solidify into a real tangible figure. Kaibo tapped his wand on the ground and made smoke billow around him. The wilderness where they had come in was instantly filled with white smoke, spirits coming after.

The dozens of men retreated in fear, they pulled the sword quickly wary of all sorts of bad possibilities. Xin Fai herself did not dwell in her place, she still looked at the gathering of spirits flying above and entered her body without her permission.

The Book of Seven Keys under his cloak also shone greenish, apparently it was a sign that spirit energy was felt around him. Before long Kaibo walked closer, with a real form that he treaded on the ground like a human.

The warriors marginalized themselves letting Kaibo pass by, they were still too frightened to see the mysterious figure that emerged from the puff of smoke and regarded him as a ghost.

"You... It should be that day..." Xin Fai did not know what to say let alone remember the events of 7 years ago, where during the attack at the Young Swordsman Tournament he expended all spirit power to stop his enemies but unfortunately Liu Fengying turned things around and was forced to make him leave all those spirits there.

"I and these spirits returned to Daan Village to wait for you but unfortunately there the Blood Devil Man came to destroy the place and as you can see, we went to escape."

These spirits were indeed originally from Daan Village, that truth was almost forgotten just now.

"I thought that day you were really gone, sorry I thought badly of you." Kaibo said regretfully, the atmosphere that night became so quiet because Xin Fai never opened his voice.

Just the gestures that were seen a little later, this made the Sacred Sword Alliance even more suspicious of Kaibo's relationship with Xin Fai but none of them intended to say.

A moment later Xin Fai waved at Kaibo telling him to speak alone, the Sacred Sword Alliance was ordered to wait until he returned.

As their distance was already some distance away from the location of the campfire Xin Fai spoke up, he turned his head to his side. "Thank God you're still there, we've been reunited like this. It's not a coincidence."

"Haha..." Kaibo laughs. "If you don't call it a coincidence you can take this as fate."

"Destiny, huh?" mumbling slowly. Kaibo did not know he had to reply, he immediately switched the subject.

"Look there's a foreign energy in your body right now, can you explain what it is?" As usual Kaibo who was so meticulous asked suspiciously, from the beginning he had realized there was a great power growing within Xin Fai.

That power is so alien but dangerous. With his eyes now inside Xin Fai's bloodstream having been affected by the power, this made him put on a little worry.

"It's demonic-power, I started to be able to control it recently." Xin Fai held back the words he was about to put out again, he fell silent and thought not to say anything about the Red Devil.

"controlling it? Isn't that like digging your own grave?"

"meaning?"

"The more you use that power, the more the demon seal will open up. Slowly your soul will be swallowed by the demon monster. If that time comes, where you have absolutely no power to control your own body, I'll make sure the world is destroyed in the blink of an eye."

Of course Kaibo said it in a threatening tone, he did not really agree with this decision. The man still intends to add. "I'm telling you, now that the array of gems on your spine is almost perfect, it's very likely that the demon will rise when you successfully perfect it. Have you prepared yourself for the second resurrection?"

"I've been thinking about that for a long time and training with every effort to become stronger."

Kaibo hit Xin Fai's calf with his staff firmly, his angry face was exactly like an old geezer who was being pinned down by a lot of debt. The man rebuked, his white mustache soaring up. "Stupid!"

"Ouch! Why did you hit me?" The young man rubbed his fractured leg bone on the iron-strength wooden stick. If only Kaibo had hit him harder, he was sure that his calf bones had been fractured into pieces.

"Yes–aduh!"

Again the stick snatched his calf strongly, much more annoyed it seemed to Kaibo this time.

"Don't say nonsense!"

"The older the more fierce also you're this–aduhh!"

Kaibo showed no signs of stopping hitting, which made Xin Fai try not to defy. He just remembered that when arguing with these three things he was very amateurish. The first one was against Lang's mouth, the second the girls and the third the old geezer named Kaibo.

"You're not serious about training your body and just killing your vengeance!"

"Is there something wrong with that?" xin Fai asked, he moved away as the wooden stick again swung about to attack him.

"It's clearly wrong!"

"What's wrong with talking without hitting so.." his grunts scratched his ears, a little annoyed treated like a child. But how else would Kaibo not listen, so forced Xin Fai to refrain from facing this spirit.

"The power you get from revenge isn't great, you must have realized it, right?"

Xin Fai lowered her head deeply, it seemed that she felt those words were true. When he saw the statue of Qiang Jun this morning he felt very amazed, even just looking at his statue already felt the heroic soul of the figure of the man and Xin Fai simply could not find it in him.

"You want to become a person like the previous successor of the Demon Man?"

"I don't know, all I thought about was killing my enemies before my life ran out."

Kaibo screeched in disbelief, he held back a step for a moment and managed to make Xin Fai look at him. The two exchanged looks with serious faces.

Suddenly the sword on his back moved, out of place and raining down on the ground making Xin Fai wary. Of course it was Kaibo who did it. The man folded his hands behind his back.

"I'm gonna teach you a little lesson so you understand what you're here for."

"I understand."

Right in the middle of the vast prairie the two stood facing each other, that night a firefly appeared illuminating the shade of the night. Xin Fai pulled the sword that stuck in front of him, then quibbled to look at Kaibo.

Kaibo asked a question. "In that case, first of all I want to ask, what are you swinging that sword for?"

"To kill my enemies."

"WRONG!"
