The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 254 - Tone of the Death Flute

Lan An suddenly turned his head back, moving his head in all directions until behind the worn out closet was a black shadow figure formed from the darkness of the night. It was not clear what creature was standing there.

Xin Fai was about to approach him but not long after a flute was heard, his tone making anyone worried when he heard it. Lan An's thoughts were muddled in a few seconds, Xin Fai felt the same way. He told Lan An to concentrate so as not to be affected by the attack from this form of sound, in fact the effect that Lan An felt was much greater than him. Because the gemstones inside Xin Fai's body can withstand this sound by as much as fifty percent. The gem itself was obtained first when it was in a bat stealth cave called Fu Shi.

Lan An fell over with bleeding ears, she held a scream at the end of the throat in great pain. Having no other way Xin Fai tried to find the source of the voice, she could see the shadowy figure behind the closet had moved away. Go outside the window and disappear leaving the rest of the noise still heard everywhere.

"It seems like it's just the beginning..."

Lan An tried to get up after hearing that sentence, accompanied by the downward arch of her eyebrows showing fear. Suddenly I heard a very slow knock.

Both of them were silent. Trying to guess who did it at the front door. The tiger standing beside them was not even willing to move a single step, he could also feel a great danger of being surrounded by them.

The door rattled until it slipped out of place, a huge thumping sound followed after. Strange noises drowned in front of him while Lan An and Xin Fai were still petrified. This terrifying atmosphere made their bodies completely numb.

Xin Fai was starting to be able to control himself from the heavy pressure that was squeezing his chest, the air seemed to thin out gradually and it all must have had a reason. He pulled the sword from its sheath then pointed it parallel to the shoulder while taking a deep breath.

Back then, he seemed to go back in time, surviving alone in the dark forest even in a state of not being able to see anything. Xin Fai smiled at a glance, she made a sound afterwards.

"If we can hold out until tomorrow morning I think this will be quite a bit of news. Two young men survived Guangfu's death village, isn't that cool?"

Lan An laughed mockingly, barely believing what she had just listened to. "survive? They're just scary, not that good to kill us both."

"You sure?"

Strong winds along with lightning make the roof of the house immediately open, making heavy rain enter into without stopping. The floor trembled for a while and at the same time the sound of flutes was heard all around them. Lan An drew his sword while pecking in annoyance, strangely the flute user was completely untraceable. The sounds they heard rang out in all directions, it was difficult to determine where the enemy was.

While something else had happened, currently hundreds of skulls that they had previously seen lying on the ground rose up. Red rays of light surround the skeleton as controllers, they walk hand in hand into the shop house following the music flute

Forced or not they had to face this horde of bone corpses both, even though they were only composed of bones but their strength could be comparable to medium warriors, even though more were of the strength of a class of warriors. The tiger did the same, the beast roared and gore at whatever was in front of him.

Lan An gasped as he managed to cut off a single bone skeleton before him, the creature stood back up even though its bones had been broken. The evil energy surrounding his body was endlessly giving off power, making him completely indestructible.

"Congratulations... It's like writing on water!"

"Killing them is useless," Xin Fai added pulling his sword. He looked up at the roof of the house hoping that the body controller would be there but he himself could not feel anyone there.

"It's only fitting that everyone who enters this village dies, there's someone protecting it and I'm sure it's not human..."

"Not human? The flute user?"

"He's like a spirit, I can feel spirit energy like a Kaibo. But what distinguished him was that the power he possessed was more inclined to a heretical flow."

"Right as well, the Qing Empire was famous for its great black magic. Resurrecting a corpse like this is not surprising anymore."

As he continued to finish off the undead Lan An glanced towards the tiger, he was fixated at one point for quite some time. Xin Fai was interested to see what Lan An was looking at, she turned to find the tiger pouncing on the corpse on the ground and smashed the red stone that was behind their ribs. Make his red light go out unnoticed.

Xin Fai and Lan An looked at each other. Feel like you have a way to get rid of these undead.

"The challenge of surviving until morning, isn't it interesting?"

"That's fascinating. Let's see who's asphyxiated tomorrow morning" Lan An retorted back to channeling the inner energy on her sword, making the weapon glow in the dark of the night.

The long battle had been going on for five hours without stopping making almost a hundred undead lying in the tavern house, Lan An started to not focus as in the beginning earlier. His body was heavy and getting heavier, the tempo of the tone that sounded from the flute could no longer be tolerated by his ears that continued to bleed thickly.

Xin Fai first learned of this, he jumped onto the rooftop looking for where this undead controller was but did not find it at all. Beneath Lan An was really close to collapsing, fortunately the tiger immediately protected him. The tiger did not seem to be entirely a savage beast, but a demon that had not reached the age of hundreds of years.

While from above Xin Fai was shocked when he saw the sea of undead walking towards them, he sharpened his vision to see in the darkness of night. The sword in his grip rang as it swiped the roof, from up there the young man could see a black shadow figure blowing a flute over the chimney of another house.

Immediately without wasting any time Xin Fai approached the shadow, he hurried off to try to approach through the residential roofs as the undead had taken control of the village road. That barely noticeable speed of running made the shadow of darkness alert when Xin Fai was only two meters away from him.

Xin Fai swung his sword directly, making the flute he was playing with cut off and then fade with the shadow. The voices of crows were heard around him but Xin Fai was completely unaffected, he was sure the shadow figure was still nearby. For that form of the Forbidden Book he began to use, the Illusion of Blood Rain made the rainy night filled with darkness now turn into a blood red sky.
