The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 188 - Met Emperor Qin

Rather than having to argue any longer Xin Fai chose to go inside the inn leaving Lan An, her body actually felt tired because lately it rarely rested. After seven years of desperately surviving within the Mist Forest then fighting against the Lightning Fox, Xin Fai also directly slaughtered the Blood Demon Man in Sanmin city making him have no time to breathe calmly.

After closing the door of Xin Fai's room immediately broke down while closing his eyes. Low spirits in front of the inn were ignored by him again until he fell asleep in a dream.

When he had just woken up, Xin Fai could see a man with his arm wrapped in the middle facing towards him while hailing. He was Yong Tao, apparently from earlier he was exhausted just for the sake of waking up the young man.

"Finally get up too you, too" grumbled Yong Tao shaking his head slowly. The man sat quietly trying to catch his breath.

"Hows it? Are you ready to meet Emperor Qin?"

"From yesterday I prepared myself," Xin Fai replied directly, she woke up in a sitting position.

"Well, get ready I'll wait for you outside."

The rainy season in Renwu City lasts for almost a month, the land is filled with water while the sky is still moody as usual.

Yong Tao smiled faintly as the locals greeted him warmly, he glanced right and left at the streets to find the people here began to move as usual. The man felt a little awkward and realized he had been waiting for Xin Fai who had not come out of the inn for a long time.

Just as Yong Tao was about to re-enter the inn he was shocked by Lan An and his troops who had just exited from there.

"Did you see Xin Fai?"

"I thought she was with you, when I went to her room she wasn't there."

It seemed obvious Yong Tao frowned in astonishment after that, he passed before them in a hurry. The floor he was on even rang out loud as he passed by, feeling that something was wrong Lan An was following behind hoping that nothing strange happened.

The door of the room opened just like that without anyone in it as Lan An said, they immediately searched all over. A few moments later a guard shouted.

"Hey, Young Swordsman! What are you doing there?"

Yong Tao and Lan An stared at each other and moved towards the large window, where Xin Fai was meditating under a large tree alone. The place was located behind an inn that was rarely visited by people.

When he realized their arrival Xin Fai hurriedly hid his Forbidden Book into the space ring, he was too focused on training to forget about the surroundings.

As Yong Tao approached the man could feel a strange energy radiating from the young man's body, he wanted to ask but was reluctant to speak of it considering that Xin Fai did indeed have a special power contested by many black-flow swordsmen.

"What are you doing here?"

"A little while practicing, Senior Yong."

"Don't I tell you to get ready? Why are you suddenly practicing?"

Xin Fai could not answer the question, just moments before the Red Devil had appeared again and said something new.

By using demonic-power, his soul could train inside some mysterious place. It was said that an hour in that place was equal to a day in the real world, Xin Fai initially did not believe in it and tried to meditate for a while.

Actually, Xin Fai had been curious about the reason the Red Devils had helped her train for the sake of facing the resurrection of the 10-month-old Demon Monsters, but the creature said it was not the time to tell it all.

A little dizzy as well Xin Fai thought about all these things especially now that he had to give Yong Tao a proper reason, the young man grinned awkwardly in response to the man's question.

"I'm training and recovering my inner strength, just forget we have to hurry."

Xin Fai moved with no regard for Yong Tao who became confused himself, he took a heavy breath and followed the young man's footsteps with a heavy heart.

Less than half an hour into the journey they finally arrived at the Qin Emperor's residence, the servants and soldiers passed by in the beautiful and luxurious place, the flower garden filling the grounds with a fountain flowing in front of him.

When the soldiers saw the arrival of Yong Tao they immediately ducked in salute and opened the gate letting them pass. Xin Fai was somewhat amazed to see this most luxurious building he had ever seen, if in retrospect with all the treasures within his spatial ring it was not impossible that he could make a palace this big but the thought was undone because he felt unnecessary.

Emperor Qin welcomed their arrival happily, he looked at Xin Fai for a long time with great probation but not the slightest threatened expression appeared there. Perhaps the man considered Yong Tao's arrival to this place as a manifestation of his success persuading this mysterious swordsman to join them.

"Look, who I brought to this place." Yong Tao said.

"Lady hero, huh? From the Qing Empire? Or a great wanderer and hiding his powers?"

"He's our first Imperial Pillar."

Emperor Qin stopped smiling slowly, he doubted that the words were still very shocked and only responded in silence. The man scrunched his forehead up to triple and then turned his gaze towards Xin Fai.

"You...?"

"Yes, I'm Xin–"

"You're Lian Sheng's adopted son!"

Xin Fai coughed small and could only hold her smile stiff, she just remembered the young brunette man. Somehow it is now after seven years of not meeting even more so his little child Princess Kaili must have grown up.

Emperor Qin called out to the servant and whispered something to him before he finally smiled broadly at his two guests, the man led them into the living room which was a very large size. Just then also a beautiful woman Emperor Qin's wife came, her clothes were so gracefully attached to her body.

The woman sat before them while watching Yong Tao and Xin Fai alternately. His gaze fell on Xin Fai for quite a while before his red lips spoke.

"May I know who this handsome warrior is?"

"My wife, she's our first Imperial Pillar. He was the mysterious person who was famous for destroying one of the Blood Devil Man's biggest headquarters by himself."

The woman turned her head towards him slowly, her gentle gaze reminding Xin Fai of her own mother. "Ah, so you... Actually I'm sure, our Imperial Pillars won't be that easy to die. It doesn't matter how you survive, as long as you stay here I'm sure the people of our Empire will survive."

What Emperor Qin's wife said was true, the presence of the Imperial Pillar greatly influenced the movement of the black-flow army. The blanking of the second seat over the past few years resulted in drastic movements by the Demonic Blood Man and the other black flow groups.
