The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 29 - Meet Lan An

Two days later Xin Fai was already able to move freely after consuming potions and medicines, his strength was increasing by a lot. At least Xin Fai could feel herself having more inner power circles, naturally it made her happy.

"Lang, I'm going around town for a bit. You wanna come?" Xin Fai asked in pleasantries despite not wanting to take the wolf along. His presence can attract attention.

"Grrhhh..."

Xin Fai smiled awkwardly, don't tell me the wolf really wants to come along.

"Buy me food."

Finally the boy could breathe a sigh of relief, "Haha yes of course. You sleep well here, wait for me to come home."

"I think I'm a cat now."

"You are like a cat! Just do your job until the end, hahahah!"

Xin Fai's laughter broke out, he intended to exit the room before a killing aura came out from the demon.

"What did you say?!"

"Ah... No, I mean the weather today is very sunny."

He hurriedly exited the room and hoped that Lang would not tear down this inn. Along the way Xin Fai could see the density of the population in Anguo city, he was a little stunned because the arrangement of this city was quite magnificent.

Unlike the Peiyu village which is generally filled with fishermen because of its location on the seafront, this city is so beautiful. Among them no one was wearing such simple clothes.

Xin Fai continued on, he was so interested in a shop that sold various weapons to warriors. When his gaze was diverted elsewhere he was struck by a boy his age who was running in an uncertain direction. Their bodies collided yet Xin Fai was trying to balance his body.

"What happened to him?" Xin Fai decided to follow the boy who was chased by a burly man.

The two men stopped at a dead end alley, the boy was visibly bored while putting up horses about to attack.

The man in front of him advanced unarmed, he clenched his hands tightly while cursing. "Give us back the jewels you stole from us!"

"No will! This is my mother's jewelry you stole!" The voice of the 10-year-old boy sounded like a male duck.

"So your mouth, little boy! You can't do anything here. I'm gonna kill you!"

"Well, wait a minute can I hear your arrogance later?"

After saying that the boy ran to the wall and jumped with his body twisted 180 degrees, the burly man gaped before a kick landed smoothly on his head.

"The Crescent Kick!"

"Arghhh! Bad boy!" the man shouted furiously.

Xin Fai responded in awe, despite not having any inner strength but the martial arts of the child were fairly decent. He can fight very agilely.

"Are you not willing to help at all?"

Xin Fai was stunned for a few seconds when she realized the boy was talking to her, without a second thought she came forward with a deep focus in her hand.

Bugh!

"Include me, I'm Lan An. Thanks for helping me out earlier."

"I'm Xin Fai, there's no need to point at me." Xin Fai drew a smile. "I'm sorry, I heard a little bit of your talk. Did they really steal that thing from you?"

Lan An observed a mustika in his hand.

"Yes, lately the city of Anguo has the arrival of mysterious people like them. Many have lost their valuables all of a sudden."

While walking Lan An told about a group called the Five Leaves Basil who came to their place, this cult group sells high-value goods for sale but in 6 not later there are strange things that happen.

Some residents have lost some of their valuables and suddenly their goods are already in the hands of others who claim to buy them from the Five Leaf Basil.

Xin Fai propped up her chin while thinking hard, she felt like she didn't have to interfere actually. Because it has nothing to do with the Blood Devil Man.

"Because I helped you, may I repay your kindness? Maybe my mom can cook good food at home, I hope you don't turn down my offer."

"By pleasure, uh... But can I ask you something?"

Lan An stopped walking, he frowned while squeezing the mustika in his hand. Mustika belonged to her mother, seeing that Xin Fai scratched her neck awkwardly.

"Relax, I didn't ask for that mustika. I just wanted to learn from you about martial arts, you know, your moves were so cool!" Xin Fai excited, in fact Lan An had inspired him a little to become stronger.

"Ahaha I misunderstood, I'm sorry..."

Lan An put on her trademark smile, she led Xin Fai to a narrower street. There was a simple house where Lan An lived.

Lan An chuckled. "Even though my house is not big I hope you can be happy here. The most important thing is to be sincere, right? Haha." Lan An tried to melt the atmosphere as Xin Fai looked at her home.

"No, your house is even nicer than my house was."

"really?" Lan An looked in disbelief. "Little you're from the descendants of rich people like them."

Xin Fai shook her head. "Although from a poor family I never regret being raised by my parents. They're very good, from them I learned many things."

"Well, we can be happy from simplicity. Unlike the people outside there who are dizzy day and night fighting over property and the throne."

The more chatter between them made the two so familiar, Xin Fai never expected Lan An to have the same thoughts as him about the nobles.

For those who are in the lowest social status it is not strange if there are many injustices that they feel. Until Lan An started to open up about himself.

"You must hate me after you know this."

"What?" Xin Fai tried as calmly as possible. Lan An shook his head about to speak.

"Actually I come from a noble family as well." For a moment Xin Fai tried to digest the child's words.

"Then why are you so isolated?"

"It's a long story..."
