Ch. 251 - Rou Han Treaty
The man was about to answer not wanting to lose the debate but his mouth was held back because he did not have an answer that could have denied the young man's words. He could only gulp with emotion while engaging in rough hands.
"We from the Sacred Sword Alliance, only briefly stopped here. Once the business is done I'll take them away."
"No way, back off or I'll call your boss to rebuke you!"
"Hm... It's hard as well," he muttered while propping up his chin to think even longer but he knew the person he was waiting for had arrived. The man approached the main gate charismatically, his gait slow but definitely like a great nobleman. He looked at the border guards after that, a bit long mixed with annoyed gazes.
"Brother Xin, can you tell me how they welcomed your arrival?"
Xin Fai snickered ignorantly making the dozens of guards in front of him put on an unusually panicked face. Who did not know this man in front of him, he was one of the heads of the noble families in the Qing Empire. Political power and shrewdness in market control can no longer be doubted. So no wonder he had many acquaintances to develop the influence of his noble family, one of them Lian Sheng. They are two close friends.
Before leaving the White Fog Valley, Lian Sheng had already known in advance of Xin Fai's plan from Yong Tao's mouth and immediately offered his help. He was confident Rou Han could help Xin Fai enter the Qing Empire safely given his reputation was already famous everywhere. Asking him to do that was not difficult for Lian Sheng.
Rou Han glanced at the Sacred Sword Alliance meticulously, not wasting any longer he immediately introduced himself. "Welcome to the Qing Empire, Gentlemen Swordsman of the Sacred Sword Alliance. We warmly welcome you all, I Rou Han gladly welcome all of you." He developed his formal smile as usual. His hands moved to let in while not many people had arrived.
Rou Han turned to look at the guards beside him. "And after this my men will give you all the calculations."
They gulped with difficulty, had Xin Fai said that Rou Han would have come to this place they would not have dared to say that. Everything lowered its head in until Rou Han and the Sacred Sword Alliance left the place.

Rou Han stopped at an inn that was arguably quite luxurious, the rent may be three times higher than the usual price but the thin-moustached man told them that the inn was his and they did not have to pay a penny to stay there.
Previously Rou Han already knew for himself what the Holy Sword Alliance wanted to look for in the Qing Empire and decided to help. It was all he had done to avenge the services of the Lian Sheng family who had helped him several times in political matters.
Footsteps sounded throughout the inn hallway. The rooms are pretty much prepared. Rou Han seemed to be about to convey something, he slightly smiled.
"I've heard your name from Lian Sheng, when the incident that killed his wife in the Cursed Forest first, you saved his son."
"So, it turns out that Uncle Sheng told you."
"Uncle? Aren't you already his adopted son?" Rou Han sounded like he was muttering in surprise. Xin Fai was small stunned then immediately shook her hand. "Lian's big family doesn't deserve me."
"You are too humble, seeing at this young age already leading the group commanded directly by the Shang Empire. No doubt you are very talented," praised Rou Han again.
"Senior was too complimentary." After saying so they arrived at a room that had been prepared for him, Xin Fai lowered his head. "We'll rest until tomorrow after a long journey, but... Can I ask you something?"
"May, just tell me don't hesitate."
"Do you know anything about Guangfu Hill? And the village that was nearby?"
Then they entered the room, Xin Fai became even more confused as Rou Han looked uneasy. The Guangfu Village he was talking about was Lan An's birth village, somehow Rou Han thought of it as something taboo to talk about.
"May you explain what happened to that village?"
Rou Han was seen gulping his saliva before speaking, he ventured. "There is a restricted area. Since ten years ago there was a deadly plague there, I don't know why so many people were slowly dying in their own homes. There's a terrible force sitting there."
'Could it be Qiang Jun's strength? But he should have been gone.' Xin Fai's inner voice reasoned.
"What caused the plague? From rats? Or something?"
"You don't understand," Rou Han began to break out in a cold sweat. "It was a curse, they died but still opened their eyes. Can't be closed!" firmly ensure. After saying that he spit so that bad luck did not come to him after mentioning the village.
"The "Holy Sword Alliance came for that place. I heard because there is a restricted area people are not allowed to enter if they do not have a permit. I really need Master's help for this."
Rou Han was dumbfounded between shock and disbelief, on the other hand he understood that since Xin Fai was not a person of the Qing Empire he did not know the horror of the legendary Guangfu Village. The death toll that died after entering the village was already countless, not a single one of them survived. Making news about this village has not been completely true because it only sounds by word of mouth.
But Rou Han himself believed one hundred percent in the story because he had passed through the village gate and felt a terrible force that made all the feathers stand up.
"You're going to bring those eighty men there? Xin Fai, that's too risky. You don't understand why the gate is always guarded by priests, because the evil spirits there are so powerful. That village land alone can absorb your spiritual awareness!" Rou Han said in a hurry to make his breathing fall apart.
"If you have a calamity in that village and come back lifeless how would I tell Lian Sheng later?" said it.
"It's very important to me, if I don't get what I'm looking for my life is under a much greater threat."
"I can't understand why you're so brave like this, you probably know so much more about the village than I do, why so stubborn?"
"I'm sorry. This time I really hope you can help me. Upon arriving at Guangfu village later the Holy Sword Alliance would wait in front of the gate, me and Lan An would enter there. If anything new happens the troops will be moved."
"How can I guarantee your life is safe or not while thousands have died in that place?"
"Believe it or not I've already passed two deaths, there's nothing more to fear for that."
Rou Han held his head in pain, he felt regret for ignoring the contents of Lian Sheng's letter. Yes, the young man was indeed firm and absolutely difficult to shake. Not so long Rou Han nodded signaling approval.
"Alright I'll take care of it for you, promise to take care of your life."
"I promise."
