The Devil Sword Swordsman

The Devil Sword Swordsman
Ch. 223 - Zhu Yue's Story

A clap on his shoulder made Xin Fai aware, he raised his face realizing Huang Kun was doing. Looking from his face alone Huang Kun as if pointing towards the front where the Lotus Temple Elder was sitting, the young man's expression signaled anxiety.

"Xin Fai, I know you're the head of the Sacred Sword Alliance but wouldn't it be bad for your ethics to not hear the words of someone older than you?"

Horrible eve came upon them both, the man's gaze greatly changed. From the beginning like a compassionate old man now like a hungry lion demon.

"I heard it, Elder."

"You listening? When Huang Kun woke you up just now you were shocked."

Not wanting to prolong the matter of Xin Fai choosing to silence her mouth, she had to carefully choose a word or else this man before her would definitely be gravely offended.

"This attitude of yours I will tell Li Yong, even if you have a high position with such an attitude you are still unreliable."

His fist tightened, the elder clearly saw the reaction and drew a slanted smile. "Why? You feel you don't accept it?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Huang Kun widened his eyes as big as possible, in the past few years in the Lotus Temple no one had ever dared to oppose the elder who served in this Discipline Hall. His charismatic and cruelty were already well-known one sect and made the old man the most feared by disciples. No one would break the rules to not meet him.

"Then can you repeat what I said from the beginning?"

Xin Fai nodded slowly, she began to make a sound repeating back what she remembered from the words of the Elder. Although it is in the subconscious but the sense of hearing is still functioning, so that when his soul is elsewhere he can still track the dangers around him.

Whatever came out of Xin Fai's mouth was almost exactly the same as what the elder had said just now, it was just that the language was slightly different. Huang Kun smiled faintly, he just found out Xin Fai is a bit of a dissident. He does not want to be afraid and will fight if he feels he is right.

A little envy Huang Kun felt. All along he had not dared to defend himself if it was dealing with a person he considered older. Though age has not determined the level of maturity of a person, not necessarily what he says is true.

Finally because the guardians themselves let the Lotus Temple Elders go, he said nothing afterwards and simply looked away unwillingly. Xin Fai lowered his head giving him some respect along with Huang Kun. After that, the two of them went and walked to draw air in the courtyard of the hall.

Huang Kun stretched his stiff muscles, he was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief as well. Indeed, often the Elders in the Hall of Discipline became the material of his plumbing. He said the man's ugly deeds to Xin Fai throughout the journey.

"That day I did nothing and the old man told Senior Li to punish me!"

"That's because indeed your fate is already unlucky, Senior Huang."

"Heh... Indeed you are," grumbled Huang Kun limp. He glanced towards the bench in the yard and immediately sat down to unwind it there. Xin Fai followed the young man, she leaned her head against the wooden sliver.

"I heard you're leaving after this, take good care of your life." Huang Kun suddenly said that, he directed a look at Xin Fai worriedly. "Over there the wars start to happen, we don't know what's going to happen in the future. As long as it survives. You can come back here whenever you want, we'll always be waiting for you."

"Senior, you don't have to worry. I've even passed two deaths before."

"Huh? You kidding?" Huang Kun straightened his back in disbelief.

"When I was a kid I was almost stabbed to death by a knife, and the second one when I arrived in the Fog Forest was supposed to be the day I died."

"So you're the one who's just his spirit right now?"

"Graffees? Oh, you mean Lang?" asked Huang Kun. Xin Fai was silent for a few seconds and felt no need to say anything about Lang's death to Huang Kun. "The smile was–"

"Chairman Xin!"

Zhu Yue shouted as she waved her hands towards them, she half ran up following then sat down near Xin Fai.

"I've done my job, Chief."

"Well, great. Sit down first," he said letting Zhu Yue sit down after running around from the other end. A little while passed finally Zhu Yue was able to stabilize her breathing, the man asked.

"It looks like we can't follow that map anymore, Chief. Most likely they had already left the initial headquarters and gone elsewhere," Zhu Yue said.

"That's also what I think, after this we'll move while looking for information from local people. Their movements can still be overtaken."

Huang Kun felt that this conversation was only for the two of them, the young man said he had a little business. Xin Fai agreed with a heavy heart, actually he did not intend to make Huang Kun leave but how else he had also left the two of them first.

His eyes turned to look at Zhu Yue. "After this we will pass Daan Village, as well as filling food and other supplies."

"Daan Village?" Zhu Yue developed her smile. "That's the village I was born in!"

"He? Did ya? Why didn't you ever say?"

"Aish, where there was a time I told you such trivial things Chairman." The man added a little. "There the Zhu clan settled, my only sister stayed there with grandma, I never thought I would be able to meet them so soon..."

Zhu Yue looked even more excited than before, she folded her hands together to support her head on the bench. Longing for her family to be cured after two years of service to the Empire, Zhu Yue could not wait to see her only sister in the village.

"You're from there?"

"Ah, here's the story. I used to be a Warrior and thanks to my persistence in maintaining the security of the village, the people of the city advised me to serve the Empire and promised my family a happy life by giving me shopping money every month." Zhu Yue was silent for a long time, she spoke again.

"I will do anything for my little brother, I have taken care of him as best I can from childhood and he is a submissive child. I didn't let any of the enemies touch her."

Those words were painful in Xin Fai's ears, he closed his eyes in Xin Xia's recollection. It should have been at that time that he forced his sister to go with him leaving the Blood Devil Man.

Zhu Yue felt that Xin Fai's silence felt strange, she had an awkward expression. "Chairman Xin, why?" The man watched his interlocutor wipe his face.

"If you want to take care of your sister, then I will take care of your village."

"Thank you, Chairman Xin!" Zhu Yue exclaimed in spirit. He did not stop smiling from earlier, he could not wait to meet his beloved sister.

"Then we don't have to buy any more time, we have to leave with others and go to the destination. Give this to the others."

"Ready, Chief!"
