Ch. 149 - End of Unexpected Assault
Up ahead a forest began to be seen, Lang accelerated his speed before a group of black-flow swordsmen who were just about to come to the stadium of the Young Swordsman Tournament blocked. Seeing their prey had escaped the leader of the group shouted out loud.
"He's the Devil-Man boy the Chief said! Catch her!"
Xin Fai could feel the murderous aura emanating from the five great warriors, they were from one of the groups within the Demon Blood Man, the Holy Blood Devils consisting of 12 high-powered higher-ups.
These five warriors were preparing to fight but Lang seemed to ignore them, instead he broke through without noticing whether his body would be attacked or not. That was because behind him they were almost overtaken by a group of bird stealth troops and in front of him now five higher-ups also appeared and if put together their strength was almost balanced with Liu Fengying.
"Strong grip, boy!"
"Without you telling me to keep doing it, you chatty wolf!"
The two barged in the opposite direction towards the five, one of the attacks almost slashing Lang's head if Xin Fai didn't notice it and flipped the man's sword.
Xin Fai began to feel that her body could re-absorb natural energy, she did so as quickly as possible until her state improved but not with Lang. The wolf had a fatal hemorrhage that would be very difficult to cure if it only relied on deep manpower.
The five high-ranking Blood Demon Man chased after them even faster, even one of them carrying a huge spear caught up. He swung the spear with all his might, while Xin Fai retaliated against the attack but his estimation was wrong for relying only on his sense of hearing. As a result the spear missed to scratch his face deep.
"Because of you!"
Three arrows with burning ends of the fire shot so fast that one of them almost hit Xin Fai. Not yet able to feel relieved, Xin Fai felt something strange.
Lang's run grew weaker and the wolf's voice began to hiss, he continued to force himself as he had done back in the Cursed Forest but the situation this time was much worse. The wolf risked its life to reach the mysterious forest that Yong Tao said.
Apparently one of the fiery arrows managed to stick in Lang's body, Xin Fai listened carefully to where the fire came from and tried to extinguish it but unfortunately it was not an ordinary fire.
That fire was the fire that the Blood Devil Man used to burn Peiyu village first. The fire came from a demon demon that had lived for thousands of years and was difficult to extinguish except using high-level science.
Lang was no longer able to run as fast as he had, he started to run out of breath to reach the forest in front of him.
"Lorser..."
Xin Fai listened carefully to the wolf talk.
"After this you must continue to survive, do not think of your presence in this world as a burden. With that power you should be able to eradicate the claws from the black stream..." Lang said without looking at him, he had felt this precarious situation repeatedly but it could be said that this time was the worst in his life.
"Don't talk like that, Lang! We should go to the place Senior Yong said to be."
Lang already knew for sure how his fate would be in the future, he did not care if he had to bet his life for Xin Fai. During this time he had always served his master including Qiang Jun. Had he died later at least he did not want Xin Fai to be in the hands of the Blood Devil Man.
"Hold that boy! Don't let him enter the Mist Forest or we won't be able to chase him at all!"
As the human waves moved faster and faster after Lang's progressively weaker steps, they continued to unleash attacks that hit Lang and Xin Fai.
Lang collapsed to the ground with blood pouring, his left leg still burning with demonic flames. Xin Fai could not understand the surroundings that felt so threatening, he raised the sword hilt high preparing to receive the incoming attack.
It was true that it had not been a minute before they arrived within the Mist Forest three demons came at them with a murderous aura. While out there the black stream warriors chasing after them stopped when a mysterious voice sounded to split the sky. They had just retreated in order before the Earth Ruling Demon who had stopped there in that place went on a rampage.
The Mist Forest which now gives off a demonic aura so powerful it is no longer just a fairy tale, even this place is very legendary in the entire martial world. The news of his life as a demon with the same power as a god is not proven true.
Once even told thousands of troops had entered this forest simultaneously but a few days later none of them managed to survive after entering the forest.
The earth trembled as Xin Fai felt something huge coming, he could not breathe because fear was pressing down on him.
While Lang was still breathing intermittently, the wolf was now dying on the ground.
Xin Fai had done everything possible to remove the fire that burned the wolf's legs but the result was nil. While the three demons were preparing to stab them from various directions.
A moment before the three demons pounced on him something that dariadi walked towards them had arrived and came out from behind the trees. Xin Fai could sense the same stealth aura as the water dragon in the sea of Fanlu City. The boundless power of the creature that was now standing before him was terrifying even the three demons that were about to attack him ran away in a hurry to avoid the creature.
The Heaven Ruling Demon stood looking ahead, he had the arrival of two uninvited guests. One demon belonged to the Celestial Emperor and another one was a brat with extremely unusual strength. Their condition was very bad, with the body covered with incision wounds and also without any energy left there was no way they could fight again.
When he felt the demon was about to attack him, Xin Fai took three steps back. His heart could not work normally, his body temperature dropped very drastically.
"I think I've got an uninvited guest."
Xin Fai gulped his saliva roughly, he was about to reveal the intent of his arrival before suddenly a thunderbolt struck the surface of the earth. The sky began to darken with lightning scorching, howling like something was screaming up there.
An overwhelming panic filled Xin Fai's head, he could feel the creature approaching him.
"Now, sleep."
