Arriving at the cottage by late afternoon. They soon started a regular routine. Luckily Marianne had prepared bread dough while Widuri and Nastiti were at the market. They'll just grill it later.
At dinner, the talk at the table was not far from planning for a sale tomorrow morning. Widuri and Nastiti were very enthusiastic. There were still very many fruits waiting to be picked in the forest tomorrow morning.
"If there is still wine there. We can make grape juice and sell it too" Marianne suggested.
"You're right. If it is sold in finished form, then the price will be higher." Nastiti agrees.
"You can look for fruit juice squeezers and thin fabrics to filter them in the market" Marianne added.
Dean took out the grain grinder from inside his storage and put it on the table.
"What is this device for crushing grapes?" ask Dean.
"Very can. Did you buy it this afternoon?" ask Marianne to be happy.
"No, it was made by Dean. We use it to grind wheat." Widuri.
"Well, this is a good rock. You're very good at making Dean's equipment" Marianne praised.
Nastiti pulled out a thin scarf from her backpack.
"I think this shawl can be used to filter fruit juice" he said.
Marianne nodded in satisfaction. No need to buy equipment anymore. They can start working if there are enough grapes.
"Aren't we going to need a container to hold fruit juice?" ask Michael. You still have to buy some bottles and jugs at the market" said Michael.
"We can make it ourselves. No need to buy. Nastiti is very good at making pottery" Alan replied.
Nastiti smiled proudly.
"Hey, don't lift your chin too high. Praised a little already flying," ledek Alan.
"From you. You two are trouble makers. Your carelessness last night, was heard all the way to the city, and caused an uproar." Nastiti scolded.
"Yes, they think there was an earthquake caused by a lightning strike" continued Widuri.
"Forges due to lightning strikes? Ahahaa.." Alan laughed out loud.
"What's so funny. Instead of realizing the mistake, instead of feeling excited," Nastiti glared resentfully at Alan.
"Isn't funny? How stupid are they." Alan was still holding onto his aching stomach from holding back his laughter from exploding.
"Sshhhhtt shut up." Sunil stopped Alan's silliness even further.
"Maybe the residents don't understand, but the city chief must not be a fool. They're probably going to investigate that" Sunil added.
Plakk!
"Aahhh, I remember now." Marianne suddenly hit the table and shocked everyone.
"What's wrong?" ask Dean.
"Michael, show me Dean's sword" Marianne asked.
Michael took the sword from the room. "This," he said.
"Dean, I saw this carving this morning, and felt like I'd seen it somewhere."
Marianne paused her sentence while pointing at the engraving on the sword blade and the hilt.
Alan, Sunil and Dean were shocked.
"really?" ask them in unison.
Marianne nodded confidently.
"Is this symbol just a picture or has a special meaning?" tanyakanya.
Dean, Alan and Sunil looked at each other. Is this what they think? They nodded then took out a star emblem that was stored in their respective storage.
"This symbol has a special meaning for us. Where'd you ever see her?" sunil asked while showing the usual star emblem taped to his chest.
"I saw him in front of the city hall. Large white stone buildings. Carved over the gate. I immediately recognized this because the star shape was different. It looks like a flying star." Marianne.
"When did you see her? Didn't we never get out of the Duke's residence?" ask Michael.
"When we're herded from the harbor to Duke's house. We passed that building. L saw. A large white building with carved flying stars on its gate," Marianne replied confidently.
"Thank you Marianne. We will investigate tomorrow, when we go to the market." Sunil's eyes sparkled.
"Maybe it's one of our tribes, or maybe the rest. We'll find out." Dean has decided.
"Wait a minute." Michael interrupted the conversation.
"If there were someone like you in the city lord's residence, wouldn't they immediately recognize the incident last night?" ask Michael carefully.
"Huh..!?"
Everything was silent for a moment. Dean thought about that possibility now.
"If there's still one of us, he'll definitely find this place soon." Alan looked around the forest. Sunil had already darted flying upwards to check.
There was a surprised cry from Sunil. He rolled down, but not to the point of falling, as soon as he mastered his balance.
"That's green light." Dean pointed up.
Everyone was alert and looked up. Whether the person is good or bad, they must remain vigilant.
"I finally found your hiding place."
A young girl floated down from a height. Proud attitude.
"You guys picked the best place to hide. How long have you been here? Are you the one who caused all the game animals to disappear?"
"We didn't do it!" refute Alan.
"Who are you?" asked Sunil in wonder.
"A, he doesn't look like our nation" Sunil said by transmission.
Dean nodded. He feels that way too. Dean did not see any light around the girl's body. Bias that are usually owned by their countrymen, because their ancestors came from the light shards of the stars of the universe. That's why the star emblem is so important.
"I'm the deputy leader of this city. You can't dodge. I've seen what you did in the city, at the Duke's residence, and the earthquake and lightning last night. It must have been you!" Fierce accusation.
"Huh.. is someone like you willing to work for someone else? It's such a shame." Alan sneered and showed a condescending face.
"If your master who leads the city cares deeply about the whole city, if you are indeed very strong, you should stop the Duke from doing the oppression and throw away the lives of others as cheaply as that. And now you're looking for us to ask for justice? Responsibility? Reflect first." Alan said cynically.
"It's his own business to kill his slave. The city leader has no right to interfere" he replied lightly.
"Slave? You said they were slaves? These 2 friends of ours were kidnapped and sold. They are free and honorable but are treated arbitrarily. So it's none of your business if we release our friend and then avenge that heinous act by killing Duke. It's a private matter." Reply Sunil
"You killed him? When?" Widuri was very surprised to hear that. He doesn't know anything about it.
"2 nights ago. We will discuss later. That girl looks dangerous. Beware" whispered Michael.
"You?! You knew?" Widuri stared in disbelief.
"Shhhhtt.." Michael told Widuri to shut up.
"I'm not here for Duke. I came to see what kind of person made a fuss last night."
The girl floated low and set her foot on the ground. He walked towards the table. Marianne who, due to her limitations, still chose to sit on the bench, tried to stand up and be alert. Sunil dashed as fast as lightning and stood in front of Marianne, protecting her from all possibilities.
The girl was slightly surprised by Sunil's sudden move in front of an old woman near the table. But something at the table caught his attention.
'Swords. That's Dean's sword. He wants to take it?' michael thought he wasn't happy. He quickly grabbed the sword at the table, before the woman's hand touched it.
The woman was surprised again. Then take a deep breath. He put his hands behind his clothes and put something on the table.
"The city lord invites you to come" he said, releasing his hand from the object he had taken out.
"That?"
Alan did not continue his words. It was a star emblem on the chest, exactly like their own but of different colors. That's a special soldier's emblem.
"Who is your master's name?" dean asked calmly. He didn't want the entire team to fall into a trap if he didn't know the details about the person in question.
"Bradley Hollman." replied the girl.
"We don't know him" Alan replied quickly.
"Where did you get that flying ability?" Sunil did not want to beat around the bush let alone deal with people he did not know at all.
"From my mother's," replied the girl grimly.
"Your mother? What's your mother's name? Is this hers" asked Sunil curiously as he pointed at the emblem the girl had placed.
"Bi. my mother's name is Bi," he replied with a bright look.
"Dav?!" Dean's voice was stuck in his throat.
"Do you know Dean's mother?" ask Alan to know.
"If it's the same Bi, then I know him.
"Where's your mom?" ask Dean impatiently.
"The city lord will explain it. he has already sent an invitation. You can come at any time."
The girl floated up then darted quickly away from the place.
Dean shock's. He never thought he'd hear about Bi again. 'The city lord will explain? What happened to Bi?' inner Dean. His heart suddenly felt. A faint golden radiance loomed in his eyes.
Sunil asked everyone to rest. He'll accompany Dean and stand guard tonight.
"Dean why?" ask Alan. His heart hurt to see Dean fixated like that.
"He was in shock. Maybe he knew the girl's mother. Leave him alone first. Sunil will take care of her." Alan persuaded Widuri to enter the room.
