Next month.
"Is he still sick?" ask Ian for the nurse.
"Yes. It's still the same as yesterday. He doesn't want to get out of the room anymore. Just sitting there on his bed.
"Alright .. Let me check it." Ian's doctor entered Dean's room.
"Hi Dean, how are you today?" ask Ian's doctor.
"Nancy said, you've been lethargic for the past two days. Is there anything you're thinking? You can tell me. Or on Chandra's doctor. Or talk to Robert?" haggard Doctor Ian.
Dean did not give any response. He just sat quietly on his bed. Completely ignoring the surrounding situation.
Ian's doctor doesn't run out of sense. "Hey, how about we go on a picnic to the beach? I think today's weather will be good for a picnic. You want?" angling doctor Ian.
Dean looked at him for a moment. "Sea. I'm stranded at sea." Dean nodded his head.
"Take that nod as a sign of agreement. We'll have a picnic in a minute. Let Nancy prepare the supplies first. Okay?" his pedicab.
Dean still nodded his head without looking. Eyes empty.
"Where is Widuri?" dean asked suddenly, as Ian's doctor reached the doorway.
The doctor and nurse were silent and looking. The doctor approached.
"Dean, Widuri's the character in your new novel. Did you forget? Or do you want to connect with that story again? I still haven't printed it" he said with a sad mimic.
Doctor Ian is concerned about Dean who seems to have had a lot of thoughts the past month, since the writing of his book was completed. Doctor Ian intended to print and sell the novel, because according to him, the story was very good and touching.
But now he hesitates to print it. Maybe Dean still wants to add a chapter or something? Or was he too animating to lose that figure, actually hurting his tender and sensitive heart?
The other two patients were more adaptable to the place. Robert was already familiar with the fellow Navy soldiers stationed on the island. They often exercise together. Robert seemed to have been part of that place, even though he never followed the mission.
While Chandra's doctor's expertise is very useful in the clinic. He was willing to help with the inspection tasks of the soldiers and researchers at that place.
"I'll get ready for a picnic soon, yeah." Ian stepped out of the room with Nancy.
"You, prepare a picnic for five people!" ian's doctor's orders to the nurse.
"Okay, Doc" replied Nancy.
"I'll take Robert and Dr. Chandra for a picnic. Maybe that way, Dean's feelings could be better" murmured Dr. Ian.
After all, the three people were originally close friends. But since the night they were here, they had forgotten the bond with each other. And until three months had passed, the memory had still not returned. Ian's doctor no longer knows how to restore their lost memories.

On the beach, Robert and Nancy were running around laughing. Doctor Ian swims in the sea and Doctor Chandra is fishing in a small boat. While Dean, just sitting pensively under a coconut tree. His eyes saw all the people who were active. But his heart was not moved to participate.
Ian's doctor approached him.
"Let's go to the swimming race, Dean. I still lost last time" wooed Dr. Ian.
Dean shakes. His eyes followed Robert and Nancy who were running around on the sand of the beach.
"Do you like Nancy?" the Dr Ian. He sat on the mat, picked up a sandwich and grimaced it.
"No!" dean answered briefly.
"Isn't Nancy good? He likes you too, "doctor Ian added.
"I won't betray Widuri!" ketus Dean's.
Doctor Ian flinched. That tone of speech, was no longer like telling a character in a novel, but like that character was real to Dean. This made Ian's doctor even sadder. He's worried Dean's got a bad delusion.
It turned out that the idea of writing the novel actually made Delusi Dean's disease, appeared. Ian's doctor regretted giving the blank papers and old-school typewriters to Dean.
"Dean, Widuri is just a character in your novel. If you're sad because he left the main character, you can replace it with a happy ending, "refer Dr. Ian again.
"That's right! You can create a second series of novels, where Widuri returns and ends happily ever after," he said enthusiastically.
"Yes, I'll do it."
This time Dean really smiled. Ian was relieved to see it.
"You want a sandwich?" bargained for. Dean grabbed the bread that Ian's doctor offered.
Nancy's stuffed bread is always delicious. Dean ate it delicious. His mind drifted back, imagining happy things about the character of Widuri. He will write a happy ending.
Dr. Chandra brought back the fresh fish. "We can barbecue this afternoon!" senggakan.
Robert and Dean immediately got up and went looking for wooden branches to burn the fish, as Doctor Chandra requested.
Doctor Ian had been paying attention for a long time. Instinctively, Dean and Robert always comply with Chandra's doctor's request, at any time. Like instincts that are automatic and occur naturally. Although they do not remember each other, but the instinct is still there. The three of them are friends, but somehow ... can suddenly forget each other.
"If only I were a mad researcher, and the Colonel would allow it. I'll probably use various experimental equipment to figure out the mystery of these three people" inner physician Ian.
"Is it possible that the sudden loss of memory is a defensive measure of theirs? What did they hide that they had to take extreme measures and forget about it overnight?"
The questions are constantly raging in the heart of doctor Ian. The more he thought about it, the more it made him tickle to look further.
Dean and Robert gathered the wood and twigs they had obtained. Dean's putting together rocks for the roasting place. Then he waited for Robert to light the fire.
Robert pointed his hand at the pile of wood. Nothing happened to the wood.
'What are you doing?" nancy came back from swimming.
"Burning wood" replied Robert.
"Where can wood burn without a lighter?" ledek Nancy laughed.
"Use this!"
He gave a match to Robert. Then the fire for the barbecue is ready. Carefully, Dean and Robert flipped through the fish to keep it from spoiling.
They relax on the beach until the sun feels scorching. Everyone comes back cheerfully.

Another month passed.
Dr. Chandra's been sick for a week. It started when she fell in the bathroom. Although not having a stroke or other rich things, but injuries to his legs and back, making his old body increasingly weakened.
The clinic doctor at the place has changed, because Ian's doctor took a leave of absence for his research. Colonel Jack was also recalled last month to headquarters. His five-year stint there, has been completed. Although Chandra's doctor is still allowed to work in the clinic, he is not comfortable anymore. He had long felt a loneliness that he did not understand. It worsened his mental state.
Dr. Chandra walks with a four-legged cane to keep from slipping again. Dean and Robert visited him in the room. They chatted in an uncertain direction, only for the old man to be slightly amused.
Actually Dean and Robert were also very bored in that place. But they can't go anywhere anymore. They begin to forget about the past and the origin of each. Their memories are only limited to being stranded on the beach.
"You gotta keep the spirit up, Doc. One day you can also fly like the characters in my novel" Dean encouraged.
"I want to fly too!" keep Robert.
Doctor Chandra mangosteen. "I'm afraid my time is up. But it feels like there's still something weighing on me" said Dr Chandra.
"Don't think too much. It will only get worse with the heart. It just gets sicker later," forbid Robert.
