SURVIVORS
Chaptre 85. Instincts

The goddess looks lethargic while carrying the milk place.

"Why is your face bent 100 like that? Ntar lost his saucy, Sunil did not glance at you again hloo," joked Nastiti.

Hearing that, the Goddess was even more sullen.

"The sheep's time on the crab, do not want to give milk. Look, just get this."

The goddess poured milk into one small bowl.

"Yes, we use it to cook milk that much," Widuri proposed.

"What cooking?" ask Nastiti.

"We make carbonara sauce paste plus mushrooms for dinner. Wanna?" ask Widuri smiling.

"Yummmy. Let me help you." Nastiti looked pleased.

"I'll get you butter and cheese" said Dewi.

"Sunil, can you help prepare a roasted rabbit for our dinner?"

Widuri found Sunil was preparing a small fireplace on the terrace table that is commonly used as a light when eating on the terrace.

"OKAY. I'll prepare," replied Sunil quickly.

Widuri nodded then returned to the kitchen. The three of them sat in the kitchen to prepare dinner. The sheep business is forgotten.

Alan, Sunil and Dean were flipping through the rabbit meat to ripen evenly. The reddish glow in the sky began to fade as the women carried large bowls of pasta with milk and cheese sauce. Dean helped slice the roasted rabbit meat and then arranged it on a large plate. In another bowl a large plate of vegetable and fruit salad looks tempting to eat.

They enjoyed a relaxing dinner while talking.

"So when I picked the rabbit, they looked agitated. Like afraid of something." Sunil.

"Huh? So that's not just my feeling. The sheep also looked agitated. So that milk production goes down." Goddess chimed.

"Animal instinct is usually more sensitive. We better be careful tonight" Dean said.

"I guess, our travel plans should not be postponed again. Faster, better," Widuri chimed in.

"Alan, what about you? Can't make peace with Z?" ask Nastiti.

"I don't understand either." Alan was confused.

"Tomorrow we'll just bury Z's body. Whether he shows up or not, I don't think it's a problem anymore." Sunil.

"Oh yeah, what's the water problem down there?" Widuri asked back.

Dean and Sunil looked at each other.

"Didn't the water that flowed in the chamber of the stone bath come from the perennial spring?" Sunil asked Dean with bluish glittering eyes.

"You're right. We can move the stone like he was removed from the eternal lake." Dean's face brightened instantly.

"The water is done. We can finish tomorrow." Dean's words made his friends happy.

"So, I think tonight we can start moving the storage of our supplies in this cabin. I don't want to stay here much longer. If we can, we'll leave this place tomorrow." Widuri said straightforwardly.

The five friends looked at him in wonder. But Dean was able to catch the uneasiness hidden within Widuri's eyes.

'Could it be that her sharp instincts also gave her a warning?' thought Dean.

"good. We clean up everything here. Tomorrow morning we go back to the cave." Dean made a quick decision.

"Tonight?" Dewi and Nastiti were surprised that the decision would be made so quickly.

"Finished dinner, we're done with all this. Empty the storage here, tonight." Dean insists.

"Yes, of course." Sunil answered quickly.

The dinner was soon ended once the bowl and dishes were empty. Together they cleaned all the equipment and immediately stored it in Sunil's storage room. Until the kitchen looks empty. There was only a dishwasher and a stone cooking stove there. Sunil even put in a wooden shelf where Dewi used to compose a container of butter and cheese that he made. The kitchen door was closed tightly. They're back at the cottage.

"I want to clean myself up before going to bed. But honestly I feel really scared tonight." Widuri.

"Let's go to the bathroom. You can take a shower in peace" Dean said.

"Thank you."

Widuri nodded then invited her two friends to take a bath together so as not to waste too much time outside the cottage.

"Dean, is it just my feeling that Widuri looks weird tonight?" Alan could not help his astonishment.

Dean nodded, embracing Sunil and Alan's shoulders. Then speak in a low voice like a whisper.

"So I checked the back fence of the cattle pen. It's like there are foreign footprints near the chicken coop." Dean whispered.

"What?! shouted Alan.

"Sstttt! Don't noise. You want to make them panic?" Dean looked upset at Alan.

"That's what scares our cattle. That is, tonight maybe they won't be safe." Sunil concluded. Dean nodded.

"It's possible that the footprints didn't come from a dangerous creature." Alan refuted Dean and Sunil's conclusions.

"If the creature is not dangerous, it is impossible for all the cattle to be frightened. Even Widuri also felt scared even though she did not know the real situation." denied Dean.

"Then, are you just going to let those sheep go? How do you die?" ask Sunil slowly.

"That's what confused me. Those cattle can't be put in storage if they're alive." Dean shook his head in despair.

"We're keeping watch in turn tonight. Sharpen hearing. If there's a commotion and something unusual, wake the others up, how?" ask Alan.

"alright. We'll take turns guarding tonight. But it's better that all the fireplaces in the cage be lit first, to add comfort" Dean said.

Sunil and Alan nodded in agreement. The two lit fireplaces in each enclosure, while Dean kept an eye on the bathroom. Soon Sunil and Alan rejoin Dean.

"It's done,"

Alan hooks his thumb and index finger together to form the letter O and is shown to Dean. Dean nodded in satisfaction.

"Hey! We're done!" the Goddess shouted to the three men who were standing quite far away from the bathroom.

"Yes. Let's go back."

Sunil answered and walked over to the women. They went back to the cottage. The small fireplace on the terrace table had been extinguished. The doors and windows of the cottage are shut tonight.

The women didn't ask anything. In the room, they tidied each backpack and ready to be carried at any time. The three slept uneasily.

In the next room, Dean chose to stay on guard first. Sunil and Alan forced their bodies to rest in order to stay fit in the face of all possibilities.

Dean felt the night air was colder than usual. Long coat to warm the body. Then added coal to the fireplace to warm the two rooms.

'May all be well tonight' she hoped inwardly.

Dean sat on a wooden bench by the fireplace. He thought of the many incredible things he had gone through in these few months. He thinks of his family, friends and co-workers.

'Did they think I was killed in the plane crash?' dean thought with a gloomy expression.

Dean was still daydreaming when suddenly his heart was beating hard. In that silent atmosphere, the sound of Dean's heart seemed to be heard in his ears. Dean held up his seat. Looking around the room, there was no change. In his check the room where the women slept. Nothing is strange. Sunil and Alan were also examined. All his friends were fast asleep. But why is his heart beating so fast?

'Unlikely if for no reason' he thought vigilantly. Dean strongly believed in his instincts that there was a lurking danger, only he did not know what it was.
