That night the cave felt more crowded, especially with the sound of bleating the sheep in the corner. Dewi and Nastiti bring home the leftover foliage cleaning the grass in the vegetable garden. Plus Sunil who is also looking for leaves in the forest in front of the cave. The sheep and the 2 rabbits will not go hungry tonight.
After dinner, Dean asked for a bottle of salt water that Widuri had previously held.
"It's empty already" Widuri said as she handed it over.
Dean nodded. He headed for the pond, filled the bottle with water then shook it several times and threw out the contents again to clean up the rest of the saltwater.
"So you said you still have leftover flour, right?" ask Dean.
"Yes, stay a little and still be rude." Widuri took the remaining coarse wheat flour that was in the container and handed it to Dean.
Dean felt and knew the flour was very rough. He asked the stone to mash and then smoothed it a little more on top of the container.
"Now I show you how to make bread developers. Look," Dean said.
Dean picked up the flour and placed it on his palm. The flour appeared in the middle of his palms. Dean showed it to Widuri. 'That's about 2-3 spoons' guess Widuri in heart.
"Our containers are small, so this is enough for the first step."
Dean put all the flour in the bottle. Then insert a long small wood commonly used to stir the cooking.
"Add a little water while stirring. Look at my way."
Dean dipped the pool water by hand and dripped it into the bottle. Then stir the flour with water. Dean looked into the bottle, to observe. Plus a little water and back stir until flat.
"Please notice the clumsiness." Dean handed the bottle to Widuri.
Widuri looked inside the bottle, nodded, then thrust the bottle again at Dean.
"Why was it handed over to me again? Don't you make bread every day? Stir the mixture until it's flat." Dean's orders began to be impatient.
The four friends began to look around and notice what they were doing. Widuri obeyed Dean stirring quietly. He doesn't want to make any more noise tonight.
"It's flat" said Widuri.
"Yes, take out the stirrer and close the bottle. From tomorrow, for the next 7 days, at this hour, you have to add flour and water again and stir until it reaches the same viscosity. On the seventh day, the bread developer was already usable." Obviously Dean was at length.
Widuri nodded and then closed the bottle. Keep it near his bag. Widuri is not easy to believe, how could bread yeast be made that easy? Isn't that factory-made? He used to buy at the store if his mother wanted to make bakpaos.
"I became a bakpao," muttered Widuri involuntarily, but was heard by Dean who was still sitting next to him.
Dean smiled faintly and went to find a place to rest. Outside there was a thunderous sound several times before the rain fell.
"Wow, I forgot to make the roof cover over the furnace. It's raining, too" grumbled Dean annoyed at his own negligence.
Dean watched the mouth of the cave and the surrounding space. The cold, wet air blew in. The rain was not too heavy but the lightning boomed which sometimes shook the walls of the cave.
The night was quite late and the rain had subsided when a creepy shrill voice sounded. Dean who had just fallen asleep opened his eyes and sat down. Sunil sleeps not far with his feet.
"Wake up" whispered Dean.
"Hmm?? What's?" Sunil is still not fully awake.
Then came back a louder sound. This time there were other sounds and vibrations on the ground. Sunil immediately sat up straight hearing that.
"Whatis that? His voice was terrifying, "Sunil watched the mouth of the cave sharply.
"You hear the sound of the ground shaking?" Dean stuck his ear to the floor of the cave.
"Yes. And other voices were mixed," Sunil replied.
"Sounds like the sound of a troop's running leg" Dean had not yet raised his head from the ground.
"Teacher? Alan, wake!" Sunil got up and woke Alan up.
Finally the women also woke up because the sheep bleated.
"What's this?" ask them confused.
"Please persuade your sheep not to make a sound" Dean ordered seriously to Widuri.
Widuri did not understand, but immediately approached the sheep and rubbed to calm down.
"What is that thing?" Goddess and Nastiti are terrified.
The rumbling sounds on the ground grew stronger as if there were many large beasts running around in the fog in the forest. The cave also suddenly shook, some small stones fell from the roof of the cave.
"Is anyone running at the top of the cave?" Alan was worried that the cave could collapse at any time if large beasts were to run over it.
Dean observed the cave structure so airy without a middle support. 'Watch that this cave comes crashing down' his mind.
"Prepare each backpack. If it gets any worse, we'll have to get out of the cave." Dean gave instructions.
Not yet had his friends respond, a rowdy sound was heard from the depths of the bat cave. They simultaneously turned towards the dense darkness there. The shrill squeaking sounds became clearer and more and more rang out towards them. Dean quickly regained consciousness.
"Nowhoo!" dean shouted loudly and fell down and protected his head.
The five friends were slow to respond in shock until the Goddess was struck by bats flying indeterminate directions in the cave room.
"Aaaahhh," cried the Goddess in pain as she was struck by sharp claws on her face.
Nastiti quickly pulled him down so as not to get struck again.
"Aduuhh. huhuhu.." The goddess involuntarily cried because of the pain and fear she felt.
"Ssttt. It's okay. We'll treat your wound later, "persuade Nastiti.
But the chaos of the night was not over. The cave again shook violently even though there were no more steps heard at the top of the cave. This time it was the part of the wall near Widuri that was gathered together with the flocks of trembling sheep. Small stones fell from above.
"Wabeezer. Get out of there!" alan panicked.
Alan tried to reach out to pull Widuri away immediately, but Widuri stubbornly kept the sheep away first. The floor of the cave swayed like an earthquake.
"out. Out!" dean shouted in panic.
Dean quickly grabbed his bag and a light crystal was also a fire crystal. Then attract the Goddess and Nastiti. Sunil was already approaching the mouth of the cave.
"Alan, just cut him out that wayward!" shouted Dean who was helping the Goddess walk out of the cave.
Once again the floor of the cave swayed. Hard enough to make them fall down.
"Nr. krakkk.. Boom!"
"Voluviiii!" dean's frightened cry was defeated by the frenzied sound of bats and the sound of rocks falling scattered.
"Ohuk. uhukk.."
The dust that filled the cave chamber was interfering with breathing. There was no sound other than the sound of coughing those who were trying to find oxygen to breathe. But every time you take a breath, the ingested dust is actually getting stiffer.
"Are you guys okay?" Dean shouted back.
Dean can't see anything. All seemed blurry due to the thick dust flying. Although Dean used the light crystal in his hand as a light, it was still useless.
"Can you answer me? Uhukk." Dean's voice was heard again.
"Sunil, you were near the mouth of the cave. Are you all right?" ask Dean again.
"Uhukk... uhukk. yes..," Sunil's voice sounded.
"Let's use Sunil's voice as a guide to the cave's mouth. We need to get out!" dean's orders.
"Sunil, you have to keep signaling." Dean ordered.
"Yes. I'm, uhukk. here." said Sunil.
"Alan, how are you?" Dean kept checking.
"Yeah. uhukk," Alan's voice sounded weak.
"Shut your mouth and nose with a cloth so as not to breathe in the dust" Dean began to sound soft.
"Widuri.." Dean's voice was cut off in silence..
