Someone staggered towards the beach. The hot sand under the sun made his feet tiptoe occasionally.
"Where are my shoes next?" he murmured while enduring the heat on the soles of his feet.
"Robert, Laras, doctor, anybody. Do you hear me? Hahoo..!"
I don't know how many times. His voice became hoarse. Thirsty and very, very, making his head dizzy and his body weak. Sometimes he licks his rough lips.
Seen by the vast expanse of sand without edges.
"Am I the only one thrown into this arid world? Where is this supposed to go? There was no one on the beach, even though he had been looking all day. Am I going to die here?" Depressedness.
"Ahh. thirsty once. There's not a single coconut tree on this beach." His eyes looked to the right and left.
Digging sand with both hands forms a basin. As the water began to seep, he tidied up the basin carefully so that not more grains of sand littered the water.
They live in another lower place. The water gathers faster there. Cleaned his hands full of sand. Approaching the first hole. The water started to melt bit by bit.
He slowly pushed the water with one hand. It's passed to the mouth. Although it tasted bad and there was still a salty taste, he had no choice but to drink it. Since yesterday only in this way can he survive. Even though drinking water makes him thirsty, he does not know what else to do.
"I've been looking all day yesterday for the others but I haven't seen them. I'm not good at finding fish in the sea, there's no freshwater source. How to survive on this beach? Besides, I don't know who survived. The collision of two boats yesterday was absolutely fatal. Indra's boat is sure to be smashed to pieces. So does our boat."
He, just kept talking to himself while weighing whether to stay waiting at the beach, or looking for food sources further in.
"Haloooo's.. Did you guys hear me? Anybody, answer it. I'm Silvia.!" He shouted again with a hoarse voice holding back the cry.
"I'm afraid to be alone here. huhuhuuu.." Her crying finally exploded as well.
She, Silvia. Crying while hugging the knees.
"Road, Robert, Liam. Don't leave me alone. huhuhuuu.."
Silvia cried until she felt tired and dizzy from the heat. There's no shelter here.
"I have to keep going and find a better place." Break it with a strong determination.
He steals again the water that collects more and more of it. He drank until he was satisfied.
"Unfortunately there's no bottle to store water supplies."
Removing the backpack and removing 2 pieces of shirt. One used to cover the head up to the neck. Another one to wrap around his leg that had lost next to the shoe.
He drank a little more water before getting up.
"Let's go!" His words encourage themselves.
*
*
After somehow falling down and resting, finally he felt unable to walk anymore.
"Ouch, really lemes. I'm not strong anymore." His complaint.
He scooped up a little bit of very hot top sand, then sat down on the lower layer sand that felt softer. Again digalinya stretch of sand to find a source of water.
"Ahh, thank goodness. Although there is only sand here, but the source of the water is not too difficult. Hemmm, the further I go, the deeper I have to dig to get water. It's probably already 50 cm deep. That means the ground level is rising." Her chattering.
"Ow waww. this water is very fresh. It's fresh water!" Silvia glee.
"It should be with this fresh water, the trees can live, right? Why aren't there any trees here? Is it because the sun is too fierce, making all the trees die?"
Silvia continued to speak for herself despite knowing that no one would chimed in on her words. He did it so he wouldn't feel lonely.
After enough rest and filling the stomach with water, Silvia resumed her steps.
*
A few moments later..
*
"Oh my God, help me. Pity me."
Silvia murmured a last-goal prayer. He felt extremely small and helpless amidst the vast expanse of sand that was somehow square kilometers in width. His legs were trembling. His body felt cramped and his head seemed to float. He was already at the limit of his ability.
Back he fell sitting on the sand that felt hot roasting. His palm had already blistered as it was forced to dig out hot sand in search of a source of water.
Silvia again dug with great difficulty. The skin of her hands had peeled off and the pain was unbearable. He sizzled and cried feeling it. But he kept digging for sand, because his body needed a drink.
After the water gathered, Silvia drank greedily. He was eager to lie down to rest his tired body. But the sand is so hot. With the nanar observed the surrounding state, looking for a better direction of destination.
"No, it's just a mirage!" tepisnya when looking at the collection of greenish at the right end.
He washed his face to cast the illusory shadow from his eyes. With a blink of an eye, he again swept his gaze around. But the greenish silhouette was still there.
"Well, you're teasing me to get there, aren't you? Then I won't come near you." Silvia Ejek
"I'm going crazy, hahaa.." He laughed wryly.
"All right, rest up. If you're still there, I'll be there. And if you're just an illusion, I'll beat you up!" The ocehnya is unclear.
After the dizziness disappeared, Silvia raised her head and saw that the green shadow was still there. He watches and thinks.
"I think there's 1 km of your distance. You wait for me. Don't disappear when I get there."
Silvia dipped the fresh water until it filled her stomach. Then he stood up and went back on his way. This time the track shifted to the right.
Silvia walked with a steady width of steps. Not too slow, not too rushed. As a medical student who had been through a lot since the plane crashed, Silvia knew that on this terrain, if she was focussing power from the beginning, then it could be sure it had fallen since. He had to save his strength if he had to travel far and hard.
The sun began to move west. The greenish shadow is becoming clearer. There are a collection of palm trees and springs that form an oasis there. Silvia smiled bitterly. That distance is only 100 to 200 meters. But he felt his body was about to fall.
And...
He fell in the end.
"What irony. Lord, if there is still time for me, help me" he whispered softly before falling unconscious on the hot sand.
A beautiful sky somewhere dry. Some horses stopped. I heard people talking and arguing. Then someone grabbed a helpless weak body on the white sand. Checking his wrists, then lifting and placing them in an open wooden cart on top of a pile of items. Cover it with straw mats. Then the group walked away.
The vast expanse of sand was again silent. The warrior girl never reached the oasis she dreamed of. The singing of the wind accompanied his departure.
