SURVIVORS
Chapters 184. Robert and Kang 1

After 2 days, Kang's health recovered. Robert takes care of her following Kang's instructions. Sure enough, the bottom floor of the hut was where Kang's important supplies belonged. Some medicine bottles were neatly lined up on shelves attached to the wall. On another shelf stored the spices and medicinal ingredients Kang needed all this time.

From Kang, Robert learned that the circle of light surrounding the tomb was a step his father took when a powerful earthquake occurred in that place. His father expended almost all of his power to keep the tomb from collapsing. It made his father's health decline. Moreover, the grief as the three of them were cooped up and disconnected from the outside world.

Kang's mother and sister who lived in a forest village were never again able to meet. For years they lived only three with the temple guard monks in the tomb complex. The death of an aging monk further weakened his father's health. After his father's death, be Kang living alone in that place. Cut off from the world that has changed far away.

"Kang, in this world of yours, time seems to stop spinning. Look at you look like a regular young man." Said Robert.

Kang touched Robert's forehead, then smiled.

"I want to check the forest again. We need to find a way out of here. Come onl. Keep me company." Robert pulled Kang's hand.

They're heading for the stables. Kang chose the horse they were going to wear. After 2 days of just lying down, Kang was happy to be out again with his new friend.

The two rode on horses, inspecting the farthest area of the small world. Kang became a good guide. Obviously he memorized the outside of his head all the angles. He has lived there for thousands of years. Kang has explored all the places.

Actually Robert pessimist can find another world gap there. After all, Kang and his father, who had great abilities, could not find a way out of the trap of this world.

Until the sun dimmed and leaned west, they returned to the hut in vain.

The afternoon routine is milking, picking vegetables and feeding livestock. Then they prepared dinner and rested.

Over the next week, Kang and Robert continued to examine the outermost area of the small world. But the results remain nil.

"Kang, what we have not checked is the area of the ravine and cliff ahead there. I guess, tomorrow we'll have to find a way to get down." Said Robert.

Kang touched Robert's forehead for a moment. Then he nodded.

"You agreed to come down?" Asked Robert while nodding.

Kang also nodded and smiled.

"Haha. We're going down together." Robert is happy.

The morning after breakfast, Robert and Kang prepared to go back to check. They ride horses at a moderate speed. It was not long before they reached the edge of the abyss where they had shouted before.

The horses Kang left behind just like that.

"Hey, why don't you tie them up?" asked Robert astonished.

Kang touched Robert's forehead. The astonished expression of Robert's red face made Kang smile widely.

"Wahh, your horses have been trained to go home by themselves huh? That's grand. And you're right. No need to fear being stolen. Because there's no one else here. Haha.. I'm the one who's too worried." Robert was stupid.

"alright. Now we find an easier way down."

Robert examined the edge of the cliff covered in thickets.

"The vegetation here is too lush. It's hard to find a way down" Robert continued to rub off leaves and twisting vines.

Kang grabbed Robert's hand. With his other hand he pointed towards the abyss.

"Do you know how to get there?" Robert spoke while gesturing.

Kang nodded.

Kang held Robert's hand tightly. Then he started jumping from branch to branch with his agility.

Robert could not believe his eyes. How can Kang bouncy high only by resting on a small and weak twig? Kang's body was as light as cotton, but wasn't Robert heavy enough to break the fragile twig?

But Robert didn't linger with it. His eyes were already distracted by the magnificent view of the valley. On one side of the small river lay a small white flowering green natural carpet.

"That's lovely. Have you ever been here, Kang?" robert asked after they set foot on the surface.

Kang touched Robert's forehead, then nodded. He inspected the white flowers that filled the entire valley area. Kang picked one of the flowers. He squeezes. Then there were a few brownish seeds in his palm. Kang took one seed, then put it in his mouth. He chews slowly.

"It turns out it can be eaten, right? I thought it was just wild plants." Robert nodded slowly.

Suddenly in Kang's hand was a large knife slightly curved. Robert was shocked and retreated as Kang raised the knife towards him. Kang's forehead shriveled to see Robert away. But he later realizes that Robert may have misunderstood.

Kang lowered his knife and smiled. He pointed at the white flower bed there.

"You want to cut those flowers?" Robert asked as he pointed towards the flower field. Kang nodded.

"Okay, okay. We're finally harvesting here." Robert pulled out his big knife.

The two men were finally busy harvesting the flowers there. But whenever the flowers had piled up a lot, they all disappeared immediately.

"Where are all our crops?" ask Robert.

Kang put his finger on Robert's forehead. It made Robert understand.

"It's cool. With the spatial ring, we don't have to bother carrying a lot of luggage. Older people are more practical." Robert praised Kang while giving his thumbs up.

By noon, half the flower fields in the valley had already been harvested. Kang brought Robert back.

"But we haven't checked the area around here at all." Robert objected to returning so soon.

Kang pointed to the sky. Robert did not realize that a dark cloud was already hanging in the sky.

"Oh, it's raining. All right.we're back." Robert finally gave up.

Kang held Robert's hand. Brought him to jump on the trail on some plants along the cliff. They finally reached the edge of the cliff. The two horses were still grazing there.

Arriving at the cottage, the drizzle has gone down. Kang ran to seal all his cattle pens. The fish pond also covered. Robert who did not understand, could only stand waiting. Then they immediately entered the house. Kang closed the door and locked it. The window is also closed.

"What's wrong?" Robert didn't understand.

Kang did not answer. Robert's hand was drawn to a hidden staircase on the floor. He rushed in and immediately sealed the floor of the cottage.

Robert felt that there was something that Kang was worried about about the rain outside. So he doesn't ask much more. Now Kang has opened a secret door on the wall.

Robert followed him into the hallway. The stone door behind was instantly closed. But the lamp in the hallway immediately lit up. They walked down that underground stone passage. Long and winding. Until finally there was light from the front.

The stone door ahead was already open. Robert followed Kang in. Now the two are back in a stone room underground near the cemetery complex. The stone door also disappeared immediately.

Robert wanted to ask, but Kang chose to go inside his room. So Robert could only go inside his room as well. The room where Kang used to take care of her.

"Ahh.it's mysterious. Never mind. Ask later."

Robert laid himself on the stone. Rest his body and mind.
