SURVIVORS
Chaptre 54. Move over

Indra stepped lethargicly towards the forest where her friends were hiding. Not long ago he walked, had met with the other team members who had actually returned in a hurry.

"Indra's.. You okay?" ask Laras to worry.

"I'm fine. Why are you guys back?" Indra asked back.

"Thank God if it's okay." Silvia regulated her breath that was gasping for breath as a result of running earlier.

"We came back from picking mangoes when we saw black smoke rising from the shelter. So we decided to go back, worry about you why." Dr. Chandra explains.

"Oh.. Yes already. Let's go back." Indra turned body.

"What's that smoke in?" Liam couldn't help but want to know.

"Our shelter burned them," replied Indra lethargic.

"What?!" There were the cries of some surprised people.

"Did they leave after burning the shelter?!" asked Niken with a fury.

"Hemm," Indra replied while nodding.

His friends immediately ran towards the shelter leaving him running lethargic.

"Don't be discouraged, most importantly we survived. Shelter can still be built again." Doctor Chandra patted Indra on the back.

"Doctor! Doctor!" there was a panicked cry from the direction of his companions, making Dr. Chandra startled and speeding up the pace.

"I go first" said Dr. Chandra.

Indra stopped at a coconut tree not far from the shelter area. He's sitting drowning there. The shadow of Marianne and Michael being dragged away without a fight infuriated her to the point of making her body tremble. The jaw holds the anger.

"What about Toni doc? silvia asked the Chandra doctor who was examining Toni.

Doctor Chandra shakes. Then his eyes looked around.

"Where are Marianne and Michael? Did you find them?" doctor Chandra asked in a loud voice.

"none. We didn't find it." Angel answered.

"Liam, Leon. Are there Marianne and Michael on the beach?" niken shouted at Leon and Liam who were down the cliff to the beach.

"Nothing" answered the two from down there.

They only found fish that fell on the sand near the waterfall pond. Leon put the bubu back into place in the pool. Then they turned around after looking out at the sea but only saw the sailing ship getting smaller in the sky that was beginning to darken.

"Indra, where are Marianne and Michael?" Barrels want clarity.

"They kidnapped the stranger. Indra rubbed his head violently. Hair that has not been trimmed for a long time so it looks more tangled. Laras was stunned to hear it.

"What's wrong?" ask Angel who saw Laras dumbfounded with a blank look.

"Marianne and Michael were kidnapped." Baras said with an empty look.

"What?!"

Angel's loud voice attracted the attention of others. They're approaching.

"Do you know anything about Michael and Marianne?" Niken asked cautiously after seeing the three friends as if they were not there.

"abducted. Marianne's kidnapped. Those bar-bars would treat him badly! Yes Tuhaan.." Angel was crying loudly and her body was shaking. His eyes were implying a great fear.

That fear runs through the rest of the team. They could not imagine what would happen to the two of their comrades among so many rude people on the ship. They sat with a confused mind. Termangu accompanied by the sound of the crackling of fire licking the dry wood of the former shelter.

The star-filled dark sky no longer seemed beautiful to the cautious who harbored the anger and sadness of losing friends in such a manner.

That night they dug the ground not far from the shelter that was still burning. The place was at an altitude overlooking an open field filled with flowering shrubs. They buried Toni's body there. Laying a stone and writing his name with charcoal.

The team member passed a dinner that felt very quiet. No one's talking. Then rest under the stars and sink back into each other's minds.

***

He saw the sea off the edge of the cliff. It looks black in the distance. "It may be a ship, but it's too far" Robert sighed.

*

After a rough breakfast, Robert and Gilang leave the cliff where they rest. Robert only slept a little early in the morning.

Their steps were fast, without any pause to observe around, they continued walking in order to arrive faster at the shelter. The day was not too late when they heard the sound of water rustling, they were getting excited, because it means the shelter is getting closer.the shelter is on the other side of the small river.

Robert crossed the small river where they used to bathe and wash clothes. The distance is only 2 meters and the height of the water is only limited to the waist. Robert did not see the fish bubu that is usually installed there.

On the river bank no one could see. Robert stepped wide towards the shelter. He saw various pottery that broke apart. His forehead shriveled. 'What is this?' thought. Gilang also looked at it in wonder.

"This..?" his speech was interrupted after seeing the location of the blackened shelter scorched. Only ashes remain there.

"What's this?" Robert was shocked to see the place.

"Indraa!" robert shouted, because no one was seen in that place.

Robert and Gilang looked around the shelter, but found no one.

"Where are they?" Glazed looks confused.

"Are they on the boat I saw last night?" said Robert.

"What ship? When did you see the ship?" Gilang.

"Last night while watching. I saw a black hole in the middle of the sea. Very far. Didn't know they were stopping here or just passing by in the distance" replied Robert.

"But if it's true they stopped by, it should be waiting for us to come back and bring it all. And there's no need to burn the shelter either." said Gilang.

"Yes. You're right." Robert was even more anxious to hear Gilang's words.

"If they're good, they'll be waiting for us and there's no need to burn the abandoned shelter." Robert repeated Gilang's words.

"This means something happened. Is that a pirate ship? Were they kidnapped?" Robert wondered for himself.

"That's why you've been restless since yesterday" Gilang said as he walked towards the cliff of the beach.

On the beach no one could see. But Gilang kept coming down.

"I check the beach first" he shouted as he climbed down the stairs.

Robert inspected the shelter area more thoroughly. No willow baskets were found there. There are also no salted fish. There's no clothesline. But something looks weird. It looks like the former place where the bricks were printed lost some of the stones. If it breaks like an earthenware, it will definitely be left there. 'It was impossible for the raw bricks to be transported to the ship. Make what?' Robert thought hard.

Slowly his face turned bright. His friends must have survived. 'They just moved out of here after the shelter caught fire. They brought quite a lot of already-printed bricks to the new place' Robert thought optimistically.

"Deliver. What did you find there?" robert shouted near the willow stairs.

"There's nothing here. Even the fish lathe in the pond is also lost" said Gilang.

"Alright," cried Robert.

Robert then sat down to rest on a rock near a cliff that was used to hang clothes. Suddenly his eyes widened to see the message written on the stone.

"Say, they left a message," Robert's voice sounded delighted.

"What message?" tanya Gilang who appeared on the stairs.

"This. Looky. Haha." Robert laughed happily.

Gilang approached and followed the message on the stone written with charcoal.

WE MOVED TOWARDS US LOOKING FOR WOOD

Gilang smiled widely. Blissfully.

"Let's go there. Haha."

Robert walked with vigor while embracing Gilang's shoulders. Both faces are very bright now. The burden on his heart had been lifted.
