SURVIVORS
Chapters 173. Kang the Custodian of the Grave

Robert tells us where he came from. And wanted to find a place that could bring him back to the human world at the same time.

His new friend Kang reads Robert's memories. He was a little surprised to know that time had changed a long way. Kang also did not understand how Robert could find the place, while no one had come before.

Robert eventually learns that Kang himself cannot get out of the forest. Since the last message his father asked to guard the tomb. Since then he has been tied to the place. Never know what's out there again.

Kang showed Robert the funeral complex. Among the shade of the cherry trees in bloom, there are several large, neat and clean tombs behind the building that Robert first saw. The place looks beautiful as seen from the front courtyard of the building.

But Robert was still not allowed to enter the compound, as he was not a relative of one of the tomb owners.

Robert also briefly looked at the contents of the front building which originally served as a temple where visitors prayed. But the monk who used to live there is also gone. Kang's father and the last monk were buried elsewhere.

"Then how did you survive this long?" ask Robert.

Kang touched Robert's forehead. Robert looked in disbelief.

"Will you show me that place?" Robert curious.

Kang took Robert back to the basement. Robert wondered why they were back. Being in that room made Robert feel confined. Because he does not have the science of jumping as light as cotton to be able to freely go up or down.

Kang stepped onto the empty wall between Robert's room and the room where the table was located. Somehow, but now it looks like a passageway up ahead.

Kang came in and invited Robert to follow him. Robert followed curiously.

"There's a secret path here" Robert murmured.

"Oh, shocked." Said Robert.

He was surprised to see suddenly the lamp on the wall lit up by itself while Kang was under it.

"Amazing," he murmured.

They walked long enough. Weaved and occasionally there was branching. One by one the lights lit up the long hallway.

"Far too. If I walk alone, I'll get lost." Said Robert.

Kang just kept quiet all the way. His eyes looked straight ahead.

About 20 minutes later, the hallway was over. Robert had no idea how Kang opened the door on the stone wall in front of him. Now they are in a square room measuring about 4x4 meters. Not long ago the walls of the hallway closed back. Then came the stone stairs from the other walls that completely closed their doors out earlier. Strangers won't know there's a secret door behind the stairs. This square room looks like an ordinary cellar. There are some shelves on the wall that are somehow filled. Kang went upstairs. Robert followed.

Arriving at the top step, Kang opened the wooden cover on it. A hint of light burst in and illuminated the steps of the stairs. Robert followed Kang up. Now they are in a very large room. In one corner there is a split level floor as high as 50 cm slashed from shiny red wood. On it was a roll of worn thin mattresses, there was a short table and a short sideboard as well. There are 2 steps from the wood to the top there.

In a corner there is a round table with 3 benches. There is a medium size closet. All the wooden furniture in the room looked very old. The color is brownish red and shiny.

Kang opened the only window near the round table. Fresh air enters the room. Then he opened the door wide.

Robert followed Kang out of the room. Up ahead there is a stretch of wheat fields, vegetables and fruit trees.

"Wow.so all this time you've been meeting your own needs. That's great." Praise Robert.

Robert walked over and looked around the cottage.

"You even raise fish, chickens, horses, sheep and.. cows?" Robert marveled.

Kang touched Robert's forehead, told him something.

"really? These cows come by themselves? How come?" Robert couldn't believe it.

Kang touched his finger again to Robert's forehead. The information left Robert not knowing what to react to.

"Party gardens and cows appeared after the earthquake. Relations with the outside world are cut off. Your father and the old monk tried hard to find a way out, but until the end of life, it didn't work." Robert termangu's.

Robert nodded.

"i understand. From then on you meet your own needs by planting all these plants. Marvelous.

"But locked up here for thousands of years, makes you unable to find a partner. Too bad." Robert took a breath.

"Your life is amazing Kang. But I want to find a way home. Have you ever seen a wall of light that is a gap between worlds?" ask Robert.

Kang touched Robert's forehead.

"It is not the light that surrounds the tomb. The light I mean, if you enter it, you can't go back. You'll move to another world and another time." Obviously Robert.

Kang touched Robert's forehead for a moment, then he shook his head.

"Huft. This kind of communication makes me lonely. Here I am the only one talking. Can't you talk? Or has it been too stiff because there's been no interlocutor for thousands of years?" Robert grumbling.

Kang touched his forehead. Smile in response.

"Here, I teach you our language. So we can talk to each other. It's weird talking to yourself like this."

"Well.. I'm dicuekin. Alright. Tell me what I can do for you." Said Robert. Kang only smiled while milking.

Until the afternoon, both are cool to work, picking a little vegetables, cleaning the rice skin, catching 2 very fat fish. It was late in the afternoon when the two were preparing dinner.

In the morning, Robert wanted to inspect the entire forest, to find a way out. Kang accompanied. They're riding

'This area of forest is also vast. No wonder the trees are giant. Thousands of years nothing interrupts Robert's mind.

Until noon, they finally reached the edge of the abyss. In the distance there is a waterfall and the flow of river meandering. Robert looked at the valley below.

"Kang, have you ever been down there? Or where the waterfall came from?" point Robert towards the cliff across there.

Kang touched Robert's forehead. Then shake.

"You don't know that place? Maybe it's not part of this place. Different dimensions?" Robert assumed.

Curiously, he picked up a branch, then thrown over the cliff of the ravine. The twig slid down and disappeared just like that in the depths of the abyss.

"There is no light bias at all." Robert muttered disappointedly.

"I think now I know why you never went there. Because this gorge is too high and the cliffs there are not connected to this place. But I think that cliff is still part of your place." Robert explained his thoughts.

Kang again touched Robert's forehead to understand what he meant.

"Kang, as long as I'm here, you have to learn to talk. Don't just shut up. I'm tired of talking alone. Try you follow me. The simplest way to practice sound is to shout." Said Robert.

Kang touched Robert's forehead. He smiled, almost laughing. Still without sound.

"Come, yell."

"Yyyyyyyyyyyyyy.." Robert shouted loudly towards the valley. I didn't hear a sound from there for long.

"Hahaha.. Did you hear that? Come onl. Now it's your turn to scream. Let out your voice so you don't feel stiff to talk."

Robert encouraged Kang to shout. Kang refused. Come on. No need to be ashamed of me. We're friends, right?" persuade Robert.

After repeatedly rejecting Robert's persuasion, Kang is finally interested in trying.

"Come on. come on. kang, come on. You can. Open your mouth and say Aaa's as strong as you can." Call Robert again.

Kang opened his mouth in doubt. Then she clenched it again without making a single sound.

"Well.. Why not? Ayoo.." persuaded Robert astonished.

"Aaaa. say aaa.." Robert taught patiently.

Kang looked at the valley, his mouth shaking. He bit his lip and looked unsure.

"Come on, don't be ashamed of me." Robert continued to persuade him.

"Look at one point there, and let out all your feelings. Aren't you lonely? Not upset about being locked up here? Not upset about not having a wife?" Robert said provokingly.

Kang's face began to blush. His expression changed when he touched Robert's forehead.

"Yelling can relieve your feelings. Lighten a little bit of a tangled mind." Robert keeps pumping.

Kang saw Robert at the side. Following Robert who was taking a deep breath, then opened his mouth and shouted out loud. Kang did the same thing, then let out his voice.

"Aaaarrgghhhhhhh...!"

Robert was aghast and immediately jumped away. Lucky he did not fall sliding into the abyss so surprised.

With a radiant face, Kang turned to the deathly pale Robert.

"You. you're pulling fire out of your mouth. Are you a descendant of dragons?"

Robert didn't know what to say. He really didn't expect. No wonder he refused to talk.

Then there was the smell of smoke and burning wood. Robert and Kang were shocked.

"Damn! You're making this forest a fire. How'this?" Robert panic.
